“Lovely stay and felt very welcome ”
I had a lovely stay here. It's not the best hotel in the area but I felt at home and very welcome. The beds were firm, and the room was clean and good set up. Given the hotel is right on the beach, sand is an issue. But they have a foot wash water well at the beach entrance from the restaurant side. That helps. Even still I found it was impossible to not track a little sand into my room. Shoes off at the the hotel room door and daily service of the room was necessary. The room servicing was very prompt and they would mop the floors every time to account for the sand. Tile floors everywhere. Upon arrival I was greeted by friendly staff and offered a refreshing drink and hot towel. Very appreciated after the long day of travel and transfers. In the room I was gifted some lovely little cupcakes and a personalized welcome note from the manager. I did notice that th room safe was just sitting on the cupboard shelf and could be picked up and removed very easily. I brought this up with staff immediately and maintenance was sent to the room, issue fixed in half an hour of reporting. A friend checking into another room on the same floor the same day had the same experience. So this might have to be looked at as a security issue across the facility. A few negative points that I did not like : the room fridge is tiny and I had to remove the glass shelf to fit a liter bottle of water. Three bottles of that size and the fridge is full. Second negative was they don't provide face towels in the room, although they have them in stock. I had to request one every day as every time the room was serviced they would remove old towels and facecloth, but not replace with a new facecloth/face towel. The spa massage rooms on site are fantastic and I enjoyed several traditional Filipino massages. Great staff there, clean and professional techniques. I booked a deluxe king room but received a deluxe room with a double and a twin. They told me the beds were subject to availability. That was disappointing as I'd paid more for a king room. The pool and restaurant are great. But if you're a early to bed person, note that they have nightly musical performances from 5:30pm-11:30pm. Acoustic music but loud enough to be heard from all rooms in the hotel. This didn't bother me as I was out late most nights and I enjoyed the music.
