Enjoy the beautiful nature atmosphere but need som”
I went on 21/08/17 stayed one night. The atmosphere around the hotel is good but need improvement in terms of cleanliness of the toilets (there is some of the moss growing) the bed and cupboards are made with wood and probably the wet wood smell is too strong.(its time to change new furniture) the hotel price per night is RM300+ which means it is quite pricy for the locals and true it comes with variety facilities such as steambath, sauna, jungle spa, body massage and jacuzzi. But I am sorry to say that we only manage to use the jacuzzi tub. Almost all the facilities is broken. We really hope to enjoy the facilities since it was stated. However we did enjoy the night there because the beautiful morning breeze and the staff friendliness. They gave effort to serve us and good information. They provide mouthful vegetarian meals but i hope there is more options. P.s this review is only a personal advice to give more opportunity for the locals to enjoy our nature. No harms & criticism.

Very good”
The view at Kalimantan Viewpoint was awesome, with the opposite peaks opposite peeking above the clouds. While we were there that morning, the clouds first rose to cover the opposite peaks, then eventually moved towards the plateau we were on and finally surrounded us in a thick mist, reminding us of The Twilight Zone.

Very good”
A little expensive however i feel that it is worth it as the room is excellent with peaceful and scenic surrounding! However, no activity can be done there at night. We end up playing with mobile phones and gossiping hahaha

Improvement Needed to Attract Overseas Visitors”
Nightly entertainment such as Iban music playing is appreciated. Also, selection of vegetarian food on the menu can be expanded. Please erase the unavailable dishes from the menu. Need different selections of massages such as ''shoulder/Neck/Foot'' only. COMPLAINT: The spa was out of working condition. The property should have informed about it in the website or Agoda site. Needs better communication with arriving guests in advance. May I ask for compensation for the inconvenience? The Reading Room should have recent magazines and more variety of books. Resort activities were lacking to the guests' satisfaction. Staff were friendly.

Not as good as expected”
This is my first time visiting Borneo Highland with my wife. The purpose of visiting and stay for 2 nights was to release stress, and I had specifically mentioned I need a quiet room. However, we were given a room just in front of the parking space and nearest to the reception (no more "quiet"). Furthermore, the facility of the room was not working well. The staff can't fixed it properly and thus we request to change to other room. However, we were asked to pay extra in order to be changed to other room, which simply means we were paying the price for the management's mistake and fault. We decided to stay in the original room as we did not want to spend extra. I sincerely advice the management to work harder and put more effort in managing the resort in order to attract more customer and tourists. Luckily the natural view is really awesome, otherwise I can 100% guarantee no next time.

Exceptional”
Borneo Highlands Resort boasts superb scenery and climate. It has a world class golf course. Whilst it is a little aged it still has great ambience and peace... We found the staff very helpful despite limited English. We visited the Resort for the purpose of bird watching and photography. That aspect was somewhat disappointing but insect photography was brilliant. The lack of double sleeping facilities is a drawback and a greater variety of accomodation optiions would be an improvement.
