Praiseworthy service”

Attentive staff, historic charm and terrific location made my business trip to Boston Park Plaza Hotel a pleasure. For a better price than convention center hotels, this was close to Boston Commons with walkable neighborhood bistros and shops, and I could get to convention meetings easily. My room was clean and snug but comfortable. A hotel built in 1927 will not be the same as a shiny new glass tower, and if you expect that, and appreciate the charm of another era, then you’ll be quite happy here.

A comfortable, conventiently-located hotel in downtown Boston”

The Park Plaza hotel is conveniently located for access to Boston cultural resources and retailing establishments. There is Green Line T stop one block from the entrance. You can get all four Green Line trains and have an easy connection to the Red line. Personnel are capable and courteous; my room was clean and pleasant. The Park Plaza is a large, attractive, and reasonably-priced option for a stay in Boston.

Worth the value if money. It’s just walking dustance from everywhere you want to visit in Boston. ”

Location is exceptionally the biggest advantage, accessibility to almost everything you want to visit in the city tops it. Good enough rooms, better than other more expensive hotels. Staff are very accommodating, I was surprisingly very pleased indeed from the day I checked in to the moment I left. Been to other states & stayed in other hotels but never experience such light hearted mood until staying in Boston Park Plaza.

Great location in the heart of Boston”

Nice hotel in the heart of Boston, friendly staff and spacious hotel rooms with a comfy bed and pillows. The rooms are modern, fresh and clean, my only negative comments are that the bathroom is extremely small given the size of the room, the toilet bowl in the room was old and the bowl itself was scratched which made it look like it was dirty even though it was not; and the “Facility Fee” being added at the end of the stay which was about USD70 for facilities I never used nor aware of what they were. Just something to be mindful of. I would however definitely book this hotel again, great location and price.

A bright and sunny stay”

A blue sky day with warm temperatures greeted us in Boston. We were able to access our room after arriving early from a cruise. The room was as per the photo on the web. The room was clean and quiet and the hotel was proximate to everything particularly Boston common.

Amazing stay; amazing spot”

We loved the location and ease of parking. In addition we appreciated the safety of the key card to get up to hotel floors. Everything else was pristine in terms of room, view, amenities and hospitality. The next time we’re in Boston we’ll be staying there.

Good value for the location!”

If you’re in Boston for sightseeing, you can seriously walk to everywhere and everything. Many nice restaurants just downstairs or with few blocks! Such a great location, though one of the rooms has a super tiny bathroom and still charging the same rate as the other one which has much bigger (normal sized) bathroom. Otherwise it’s a great stay!

Great location but not happy with "facility fees."”

The hotel is centrally located and it is easy to get to many travel destinations in Boston; however, we were never told upon booking that there would be a $10 "facility fee" per PERSON per DAY until we checked in. We did not use any "facilities" and did not appreciate this hidden fee.

Relationship between 15th floor (top floor), furthest room from elevator (147 steps to and from) related to AGODA reduced facility room charges - understandable. Pet friendly environment BUT dog barking for 4 hours on our last night at Park Plaza requiring contact to hotel security, dispatched security officer - detracted from a near-perfect stay.

I booked a room months in advance to attend a nearby concert. I selected Park Plaza Hotel mainly for location and price. One caveat; READ THE FINE PRINT. I was surprised by three facilities fees totaling $25.00. As this is not an optional choice when booking a room, it is a deceptive method of appearing to offer the lowest price in the area.

The hotel is very nice, but my booking was not satisfactory. On Agoda site, there was a choice of rooms. The picture had 2beds, and there was a spot to click 1 or 2 beds. I chose 2 beds; I also wrote in preferences/ requests needed 2 beds. When I got to hotel, I was given 1 queen bed instead. I was not happy. Under much distress, I was finally upgraded, but had to pay more. Also, the site said fully paid- that apparently did not include the $20.00 facility fee/ night. I will stay at the Park Plaza again, but will not book through this agency.

Not as expected”

The first thing you should know about the Boston Park Plaza, you are always a second class guest, unless you are a airline crew member. They are always prioritized, at check-in, at the service, etc. The hotel seems to be renovated, but you can't see it in the room. It looks like 10 years old and the bath is more a children sized one. The toilet could be from a dollhouse. There are cheap plastic cups instead of glasses to brush your teeth. That seems not to be appropriate for a hotel like the Boston Park Plaza. They charge a 20$ per night "facility fee" for the gym, the in room WiFi and some other stuff I expect to be included in the room price. We are in the 21th century and the Park Plaza is not a hostel. The staff was very courteous to the airline crew members, offered them a bottle of water, managed a free breakfast for them and so on. We didn't received any water or that charming welcome, we just got the second class service. Never again!

Great location, beautiful lobby, TINY rooms”

Great location, beautiful lobby, easy access to public transportation

From impressions on the website, it appeared to be a luxury hotel. However, the rooms were so small, it was a little ridiculous. I might expect the small nature for a hotel in NYC, but not in Boston. When you go to open bedside drawers or doors only to hit things that are placed too close in the rooms construction/design, that is concerning.

Nicely located hotel”

The hotel is very nice. Parking with the valet is 50$ usd a day , but you can go park it yourself in the same garage they use for 37$usd . Much better! Our room with a queen size bed was really tiny. My husband had trouble moving in the bathroom. It was Very small. With having our two young kids that room was not convenient and to be honest it looked pretty old and needed a refresh. Thankfully to the service desk, very friendly and helpful, they changed our room to a king size bed and the room was much bigger and nicer. The breakfast buffet is great. We would go back.

Disappointed Business Traveler”

The room has no writing desk for a business traveler. Wifi did not work in room. Wasted my time waiting to get wifi to download documents on my laptop. I then went down to the concierge desk and inquired about the wifi problem. The person provided me the useless answer ("You have to pay."). I then contacted the hotel via text service at 617-302-8550. It took them from 12:53 p.m. to 1:29 p.m. to response to my message about the lack of wifi. "Their servers were down". Later, the wifi was back up and worked fine. Overall, I expected more from the Boston Park Plaza. Disappointed.
