Perfect view of the Parliament and Danube”
With the tram dropping us right in front of the hotel, the location was ideal for viewing one of the best buildings in Budapest, the Parliament! We luckily had a room which faced the building and it was simply beautiful, seeing it all lit up at night. The hotel staff were incredibly helpful, especially the gentleman who helped recommend places to eat and booked is into the incredible Aszu restaurant. It was great and we really appreciated it. The hotel location to other sites, was great. Fisherman's Bastion is about a 10 minute walk uphill (be prepared for a lot of hills and steps on this side of Budapest) The Chain Bridge is also about a 5 minute walk, along with the funicular station which takes you to Buda Castle. This hotel was just ideal and so glad we picked a gem in itself. I highly recommend to everyone.

Fantastic service - Great Location”
We were at Hotel Victoria in the 2nd/3rd Week of June 2012. We wanted something real cozy, cool - especially after the2 weeks of luxurious river cruise. And believe me - we got it. The hotel is right on the River Danube, bang opposite the Parliament building - of-course the river Danube in-between. The room was facing the river and the Parliament. We could see the Chain bridge. For lunch and dinner, there are quite a few restaurants around the hotel - one is on the same side of the road about 45 seconds walk from the hotel, and more within 4 minutes walking distance. Good food, very affordable prices. The Breakfast in the hotel itself - nothing special but you can survive on that breakfast. The staff was very helpful - I think the hotel is run by a family and they are very good. Laundry service is good but try to give sufficient time for delivery. You wont't get the laundry back within couple of hours (like you get it in a big chain hotel). One caution while you are in Budapest - eon't ever take Black Taxies - they are a total rip off. For the fair which a regular taxi charges about 400 ft, a black taxi charged me 8900 ft. The hotel overall is very comfortable and good location. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is visiting Budapest.

Perfect Hotel Victoria”
As you walk through the doors of the Hotel Victoria, you are greeted by the lovely smell of flowers and super smart reception area. Edina greeted us and was charming, making our check in seamless and full of points of interest and advice on tours and restaurants. The trip was then sealed to be terrific when we entered our room to see the river view and the spectacular Parliament. Building lit up and sparkling across the Danube. The view was amazing! Room was spacious and had everything from mini bar to slippers to comfy beds. Breakfast included in our rate was fantastic! A lovely array of cereals, fruit, bread and meats and cheese and then freshly cooked eggs in all forms which you ordered from the lovely staff. The omelettes were gorgeous and soft boiled eggs done to perfection. As well as breakfast there was tea In the afternoon in the older part of the hotel - a historical room with beautiful stained glass windows. Then happy hour! 30% off bar prices in the charming little bar area.

1st time visitor”
We were in Budapest for 3 days. The stay was comfortable in the Victoria, wish we would have had more time to explore area behind hotel, we found more restaurants then we thought was there. The rooms at Victoria were quiet did not hear our neighbors .

Lovely hotel with a beautiful view of the river”
The hotel room has a huge window overlooking the river to the Parliament Buildings. The room was large with very comfortable bed. The breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of food to choose from. Although the hotel does not serve dinner, the Belgian Beer bistro (can't remember the full name) was right next door, serving good sized meals at a very reasonable price. For beer lovers, you can order a metre of beer which is about 10 glasses of different beers. The hotel is in the just across the river to the town, a flat, easy walk. The service in Hotel Victoria was excellent. Would definitely stay there again and would recommend it

Great location with contemporary room”
It is very easy to find the hotel and it offers free street side parking (a few). It is a family run hotel, the owner are very kind and easy to communicate with in English. Location is the best feature of the hotel. It is on the Buda side of the river bank. It is all in walking distance to any major attractions of the city. There are plenty good restaurant around the hotel, we went to the Korea one close to the chain bridge and the Pizza Eataliano close to margaret bridge, both are authentic to me. We are very lucky to have the room on the 8th floor (tip: the hotel has 9th floor but the elevator only access up to the 8th floor and then need to take the stairs to the 9th floor), and the view from the bay window is spectacular. The wash room is modern and has a motion senor to turn off the lights. I had a little problem with the motion senor as I was in shower and the lights shut off from time to time caused a little bit of chaos. The breakfast has a good variety and the hot items (omlete, eggs, sausage) are made to order. The breakfast area is very busy in the morning, so get up a little early to avoid waiting for the table is a good idea. Overall, Hotel Victoria is the best choice we made among all the stays in different capitals that we visited in this short trip of Central Europe. I would recommend this hotel without any hesitation.

Nice hotel in a great location”
As previous people have said the hotel is modern and clean in a great location. Easy to get to all major attractions meaning we only needed to use public transport once in 4 days. The view is lovely especially when it goes dark. the breakfast was very good, the fresh eggs is much better than food kept warm under a light. We had the afternoon tea in the posh white room which was a bit different but I still feel tea and coffee in the room but be a better option. Budapest is a lovely place to visit for a few days, we found eating out to be reasonably priced although drinks can be a bit more pricey in the tourist areas.

As good as hoped for”
From arrival to departure the staff were very polite, attentive and helpful. We were allowed to book in early and even though our room had not been made up were able to leave our cases in the room so we could go out for lunch and start our exploration of Budapest. When we went to sleep the beds were comfortable and the room quieter than we expected. After a good night sleep the buffet breakfast had plenty of choice and the hot part of it, with plenty of choice was freshly made for each individual. The rain brought us back early one day and it was good to be able to make a cup of tea in one of the old rooms of the house. All in all this hotel was a great choice.

Beautiful View”
Our room overlooked the Danube. The beds were comfy, the room was spacious and clean. The hotel has a nice variety of choices for breakfast including freshly made omelets and two for one happy hour each day. Close to the castle district and bus stops. Great location!

Great small hotel”
This hotel is always my first choice for staying in Budapest. The staff are helpful and informative, the breakfast is just right, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the location is perfect. Its on the river bank, almost opposite Parliament, so the view from the room is great. The tram line runs outside, its a short walk from a Metro station, its at the foot of the hill, there are several restaurants and useful shops nearby. What else could you ask for?

service with a smile above expectation”
this boutique hotel situated on the buda side of the danube river offers excellent value for money accomodation. rooms are spotlessly clean and the staff were always willing to assist in any way. there are several good quality restraunts within walking distance and the hotel is located within a 5 minute walk of the rail station. the hotel's location allows easy access to attractions such as the hop on hop off bus.

Victoria Regina”
Surprising hotel. Innocuous from the outside but overall standard and service great. Room had great view over the Danube for Chain Bridge and Parliament. We walked everywhere, the Chain Bridge is less than 5 minutes, so city centre is actually very close. Easy walk to St Stephens Cathedral, Grebeaud's and any number of museums in Pest. Steps up to Buda castle very close too. Breakfast is good; selection of breads, meats, cheeses, cereals and cooked available if preferred. There are some excellent restaurants within about 2 minutes walk serving genuine full flavoured Magyar cuisine.

Exceptional Location and Exceptional Value!”
When we booked this hotel it indicated a view of the beautiful Danube River. What an understatement! It is directly on the river and the views both by day and night were spectacular. Our friends paid nearly double for a room closer to the city center, with no view. As it was, we were very close to the Buds Castle, and only a short walk to their underground which easily and cheaply takes you to the main shopping center.in the “Pest” area. Only wish we could have stayed longer but definitely a highlight of our trip.

Great Hotel with a view!”
We had a great stay at the Victoria. Fantastic clean room, helpful and attentive staff, good breakfast. Slightly quieter location than we would usually stay but still within walking distance of all the sights. The view from our room was the absolutely best part of this hotel, overlooking parliament.

Lovely hotel”
Stayed here for two nights, location is fantastic, staff are lovely. Room was of a good size, nice bathroom, with an amazing view of the river. Only downside was the street noise if you are a light sleeper, which I am but I took earplugs which helped, my husband had no problems. 5 min walk from the bridge. Breakfast good variety and eggs made fresh to order, you can also book excursion through the hotel. Price wise compared to other hotels with the view of the river this hotel was certainly good value for money.
