"The best about this hotel is nearby subway station."

Well located super-budget hotel”
Any complaints about this hotel need to be measured against the fact it is a really well located hotel at a very cheap price. Close to both the Bowery and Delancy St/Essex St subway stops. Hotel is clean if very basic. Four bathrooms for about 30 rooms. Advertised wifi didn't work. As a base for New York adventures I would recommend it, felt safe there.

You get what you pay for”
for a one night stay, this was not a bad lodging option. staying in new york can cost a ridiculous amount of money just for the hotel. the bowery grand, while not grand at all was better than exepected. the room if you want to call it that, was actually the size of a long closet. it was the bare minimum, a twin bed and a tv that did not work at all but at least it was decently clean and there was no wait at all for the bathrooms. the subway is only a block and a half away which was really convenient. if you're looking for a place just for sleeping then this is definitely a viable option for those on a tight budget.

Exceptional”
Value for money and good location. Upon check out, the hotel could not store my baggage even for an hour. This implies limited baggage storage space. Also, the receptionist explained it "proudly", rather than being and saying sorry. That was a minus. Otherwise, it's a good hotel I can recommend to friends.

Quick Trip to NYC”
Luckily we were only there for one night, but I guess we got what we paid for. We were in a windowless room roughly the size of a closet with a hole in the ceiling that was covered with a towel and barely enough room to turn around in. The bathrooms were shared, but clean. The TVs are from the 90s at the most recent, and get really poor reception of only one channel in Chinese. This was all fine, as we just wanted a cheap place to stay, and the Bowery Grand is actually in a really great location. The real problem was the walls are paper thin which resulted in a really terrible night's sleep. At 1 AM a tenant and the desk attendant got into a loud argument where they were threatening to sue each other. Worse, at 3 AM someone in another room's alarm went off and they didn't turn it off for hours, meaning we couldn't sleep for hours. People walking around was really loud too. I would still go back for a cheap, terrible place to stay in a great location, but I'd bring earplugs next time.

I felt I was misled and re-directed to a partner”
When we arrived we were told that "due to a water leak" we were advised to go to another hotel that was situated two blocks away. The other location was dirty and the room itself was completely 100% unsatisfactory!!! I was so upset that it took me this long to even respond to this request for feedback. I was charged for the room even though I refused to stay. Customer Service was non-existent and I have informed everyone I know about the horrible experience I had with The Bowery Grand Hotel. They are a fraud and untrustworthy.

Excellent”
Great place to stay since all I need is a place to leave my things secure, shower and sleep. I prefer to spend the time outdoors not in the hotel, places to visit and enjoy are aplenty in NYC.

Meets basic needs”
This is a no thrill hotel. It has all the minimum basics, a bed just big enough for one person plus a couple of feet to move around the room. It is in an old building with long stairway. No elevator. Rooms are clean, but no linen change in over two weeks. Shared bathroom. Sewer drains in the bathroom are left opened. It would be better if they could have the plumber cap them. This appears to be one of the cheapest hotel on the net. It is affordable and is near to everything a tourist needs. Wifi is available inside the room. I wish they could put in a printer in the common area. That would meet the needs of business travelers.

Adequate but a little Noisy”
It was quite sufficient for my needs. Very clean, 4 bathrooms on the floor so one was always available. The staff mostly spoke Good English and took care of whatever I asked them for. The only unfortunate things were the WI-FI kept dropping off and the ceiling was damaged so I had to deal with all the TALKING, LAUGHING, SNORING, & everything else that I constantly heard from all the rooms around me.

So So”
The best about this hotel is nearby subway station. The toilet needs constant cleaning because other guest doesn't know how to do after care. Washroom gets awful at night. The rooms are small, i cannot even open my luggage in the floor.

Value for Money, but don't expect morem”
For the money I paid, I really have nothing bad to say about this. The rooms are tiny and bare, but I wouldn't want to splurge for a better hotel room that I'm only sleeping in for a few hours. The showers/toilets were also surprisingly clean.

Dirty jewel in the best part of town”
Bring your own sheets. Bring some shower shoes. You'll thank me. Small room. Who the hell wants to spend time in your hotel room when you are NYC?

Tiny but clean”
Rather happy such an option exists. I really only need a private bed Shared toilet facilities were decent but smokey. Bed bugs existed in my room (saw and ended one), so you might wanna avoid this if that irks you / don't want to bring some back home.

It's perfectly adequate ”
It's a bed. That's what I paid for, that I expected, and that's what I got. They even provided hangers, a toothbrush and soap. The towels and sheets were clean and it was 2 minutes to one subway, and five minutes to another. IT WAS FINE.

Clean”
Everything is true. If I wanna go NYC. It's my first choice.

Convenient Location with Lowest Price”
Great location as it's easy access, however with such low price at NYC, the actual size room was even lower from our expectation. We were actually placed at a room beside the laundry place where you could smell the detergent. And for a double room, the whole room was occupied by the queen size bed,you can hardly walk or put your luggage. Plus they only change their bed sheet once every week.

Recommend place was nice. ”
I was travelling with my wife and we booked for one night. Hotel was over booked we moved out by hotel management next their sister hotel. We really didn't see much nicer things to display about this hotel but the hotel they recommended us was much nicer then their hotel. If you are lucky enough you may get the same chance as me.

Ridiculously small and filthy rooms. Rude staff.”
I could not help laughing when I saw the "room" I was assigned: It was smaller than a closet, and the bed literally filled the entire room. It had no windows, no air conditioning, and don't even dream about a bath. All this room had were the bed, a small TV, and a bedside table not large enough to hold a pizza slice. When I wanted to check out after seeing the "room," I was charged the fee for the first night plus tax. The staff barely spoke English, and were incredibly rude. What's more, when I called the hotel beforehand to ask whether I could have a package mailed to me at the hotel's address, they said yes. However, when my package arrived, they refused to give it to me, saying that they run a hotel, not a post office. To this day, I still haven't received my package, and the tracking information says that it has been delivered to the hotel. Also, the area of Chinatown in which this hotel is located is also equally filthy and bad-smelling. Whoever's reading this, please please please for the love of god, DO NOT CHOOSE THIS HOTEL.
