Free transfer from & to jetty. Good breakfast and keep changing the varieties for my 4d/3n (21-24 Apr 2016) stay there.10 mins walk distance to walking street. Nice grill seafood on the way to walking street. Free kayaking provided & very good room service where help to take in my clothes hanging outside during raining day as i'm having my diving in daytime. My 1200THB was left on the table and remain there after room service. Good job!!! Would say the best hotel in sunrise beach.

First of all, there are 3 main beaches on the island and Serendipity is on the best one: Sunrise beach. It's at the far end and has a charming secluded beach area in front of it. Combined with the 'in the hillside' design of the suites you get a very serene isolated experience. It's very calming. The downside with any kind of isolation is that it makes getting to main attractions a bit of a pain. Getting to the main hub of restaurants is a bit of a walk and even getting to the beach from your room can be 100+ step stair case so don't forget anything. This isn't a walk out your door onto the beach but then again, there is no one walking in front of your suite either like beachfront ones do.

Very beautiful location at southern end the most beautiful beach of the island. Private beach, not crowded and no longtail boats blocking the swimming area like at the rest of the beach and at the other beaches. Very good food in the restaurant, various selection for breakfast, reasonable prices for food, beer and cocktails. Please consider that prices on islands are always higher than onshore, in particular in the south of Thailand. Staff was always friendly, helpful and attentive. Booked my trip down there with Air Asia Island package from DMK via Hat Yai with Minibus and Speed Boat direct to Sunrise beach. Ten moons team picks you up with longtail at the beach and returns you to the pontoon when going back for free. Very good service, without any delays! Again many thanks to the team and special thanks to the kitchen team and the owner Jose. He was always very helpful and giving good tips where to go. Would definitely go there again. 10 STARS and worth the money!

Where to start, was greeted pleasantly by the owner Yohann,who throughout the week was very helpful and his wife when required. Shown to the room by staff (also very friendly and helpful all week) of a good size, clean, bathroom basic, air con good, comfy bed (no wardrobes). Looking at other accommodation a long the same beach, and Wapi Resort looked the best for money, although there did look better resorts, but much more of a higher price. Wapi resort is situated central on Sunrise beach, a lot of tail boats in view in the morning, but soon disperse when the boatmen start work (boats visible all day at Pattaya beach).Ten minutes walk either side of wapi resort there are quite and lovely beaches. However, five minutes from wapi resort, a ship tanker calls to the island to take away all the rubbish, not visible from wapi resort, and would not be happy to stay in the accommodation in this area. Buffet breakfast reasonable to start the day, (fresh eggs and bacon) restaurant food good. Facilities okay, guests have free use of kayak, snorkels, masks, fins & bicycles. Took a walk to pattaya beach, very noisy with boats all day, limited swimming areas due to boats, beach not as nice sunrise beach. Overall an excellent stay at Wapi Resort, would definitely stay here and recommend to anyone, ideal location.

we booked a deluxe bungalow which was worth it. however we only stayed in a deluxe, so wouldn't know about others - superior look good but for views go the deluxe. easy to walk everywhere - pattaya, sunrise beach, temple etc., etc. bring a flashlight. great food too at the restaurant so u don't have to go elsewhere every night. great staff, great service and don't worry about those stairs - you get use to them. the location, views and water make up for it. go there!!

Cabana Lipe is located directly at Sunrise Beach and just 5 min. walk from Walking Street. The room was very clean, breakfast is served on the balcony and there are showers at the beach too which comes very handy. All in all I would recommend this hotel, I was just bothered about all the long tail boats “parking” directly at the beach. The beach at Koh Lipe is just a perfect beach one can imagine but it’s really spoilt by all the boats which are used for island/ snorkeling trips etc. at least at sunrise beach this was the case. You really have to look out for a free spot where you can have a swim.

Cannot beat this value for money with the resort literally on the sand at Sunrise Beach. A beach bar with lounge seats next door to enjoy all day and excursions/rentals for dive trips, kayaks, paddle boards, and snorkeling available right from your own lodging. The amenities are basic but exceptionally designed and comfortable; could not ask more from island life. Walking Street is just a stroll away!

Everything was great here. First we booked only one night, because we wanted to check the other places in Ko Lipe first, before we commit our self. So on the first day we checked nearly all other beach resorts on the island and decided no better place to stay then Mali Resort Sunrise Beach. Especially the huge pool with its two islands was my favorite. The beach was also nice and clean. Breakfast could be ordered a la carte, as much and often as we wanted. A small problem with the shower head was fixed within 15 minutes after us telling the reception. WIFI was good, only the fact that you have to login into it every time when you change your location within the resort was a little bit annoying. If I come back to Ko Lipe, for sure only to Mali Resort Sunrise Beach

Traveled during 06 - 07 Oct 2016. When I booked this hotel, I didn't set high expectation about it because it another hotel I was aiming for was full. So I chose this hotel because it is one among a few hotels on the beach. I am glad I made the right choice. The resort is right on Sunrise Beach and a few minutes walk to city center. One of the best location in Sunrise beach area. The room that I stayed has no air-con but I didn't need it because was cool at night. Food in the hotel is good and the price is not too expensive for an island. Facilities inside rooms are standard. No minibar, water flow from shower is too slow. Don't let these thing bother you. These are good enough for a budget hotel like this. Highly recommended.

The hotel is on one of the best spots on sunrise beach has its own private little beach with no tailboats parked up outside like most the other hotels The hotel itself is nice and clean we had the family room for 4 of us 2 adults 2 children and it was perfect 1 king size bed 1 double bed and 1 sofa with great views of the ocean The ocean outside the hotel is great for snorkelling and the hotel have all the equipment u can borrow they also have an underwater camera u can hire and they have memory cards u can buy to keep for 200 baht The hotel staff are very friendly it seems like a family run hotel and the staff can’t do enough for you The only negatives I can think of for people with walking disabilities is it’s a quite steep entry in and out of the hotel if u want to head into the centre of Lipe but u can walk along the beach or there is a little hotel bahtbus that takes people along if requested but we found walking along the beach no problem and is about 10-15 mins walk into the centre of Lipe The breakfast is really basic but still I wouldn’t let that stop us from returning next year 9.5/10 from us

My stay of 3 nights in Sea View Bungalow was fastastic! Firstly there is no tv, no hot water and no aircon but who needs all that when u choose to be Castaway! The view of the beach is enough to make u occupied, and theres a big fan on top of ur bed to keep u cool all night. The room is very clean and cozy. Not to mention theres 2 hammock hanging outside for u to laze around all day. I was also vey pleased with the staff. They were all very helpful, during my check in they even checked to see whether i have already arranged for a ferry back to Pak Bara. I paid sgd 200 for 3 nights with breakfast. Breakfast was just awesome, u have the option to choose up to 4 different course meal. I was there in sept 2015 so it was the low season hence Sunrise Beach is the cleanest. However if anyone plan to go during the peak period, Pattaya Beach is the cleanest(Castaway Resort is in Sunrise Beach). Oh not forgetting 3 key points! 1. They will cater free Long Tail boat to pontoon where u will take ur ferry to Pak Bara (this is just for ur check out day so if u r coming to Koh Lipe u still need to pay 50 baht to board the longtail, its not an option. Thats the only way to take u to your resort) 2. There is no wifi in your room. However there is wifi in the reception area. I was lucky to hav my room located near the reception area so i still get my wifi connection. 3. The resort is in Sunrise Beach. Be sure to wake up early and sit at the comfort of ur bed to catch the sunrise. Yes u dont have to leave ur bed to witness it. I promise it was breathtaking. **Many also was not informed that there is an additional charge of 20baht/person to enter Pak Bara jetty and another 50baht/person to board the longtail boat frm the pontoon to your resort. The ferry u board from Pak Bara will not take u direct to Koh Lipe, it will stop at a pontoon thats where u have to take the longtail boat.

This place is not the most luxurious place we've stayed, but it is one of the nicest due to the personal welcome that you get from Simon and Ann. You simply do not get this at a larger faceless resort. Fresh coffee and water on arrival and lots of useful info re: the island. Spacious rooms that smell lovely and have good air con. Nice to have table and bench and space to hang clothes. Part open air bathroom which I liked. Also fast internet which you do not get everywhere on the island. Used the laundry service and very efficient. We were keen to go on a boat trip with Simon, and unlike tour agents who would just book you on, he advised us to wait a few days until the wind had dropped so sea conditions were calmer and more suitable for our children. We saw other tours going to the nearby islands that you could easily kayak/swim to! We got a perfect day for our trip and had the most wonderful day seeing all around the islands and snorkelling. We weren't allowed to some places as closed in low season, but we saw plenty of great places so don't let low season put you off. Would totally recommend a trip with Simon - he looked after our kids while we snorkelled for longer, played with them in the sea and took some amazing photos for us. The kids thought he was great fun. Tip - if the speadboat brings you to sunrise beach you do not need a taxi - it is a short walk to Oasis. Go past the school to where the taxis wait, up the road, left, right, left and then Oasis is on the right. You can easily walk to all the beaches from here and walking street is a short walk away too so the location is great if you aren't bothered for being right on the beach. Love Koh Lipe and want to come back here again in high season and would definitely stay at Oasis again.

I stayed here for 4 days 3 nights. And it was our memorable trip. Room is so nice, clean. You can drop the room key if you want them to clean in the morning. Reception staffs was nice and very helpful. This resort locate at sunrise beach and not much boat parking here and can snorkel in front of Resort which you can rent the equipment in walking street. Beach is really nice, peaceful. You can explore many kind of fish and coral. Be careful some fish really want to play with you.!! Recommend this resort for resting even family trip. Definitely come back again. We was enjoy our trip and staying at this resort.

We stayed 4 nights at Salisa from Jan 16th, 2018 to Jan 20th. The resort is just what we were looking for, something quaint, quiet, and not commercialized. Our 3 person bungalow was clean and had an ocean view from our front porch. We ate several meals at the resort restaurant and the food was good. The Walking Street was very close. In my opinion, Sunrise Beach, where Salisa is located, is the best beach on Koh Lipe. Great views of the sunrise, several islands off shore (a couple you can swim or kayak to), and the white sand beach was never crowded. The water in front of the resort is mesmerizing shades of emerald and full of coral reefs full of corful fish. You can walk in between the reefs for several hundred yards out and still be in only waist/chest high water. Great snorkeling right from the Salisa beach front. We took an all day snorkeling trip in a longtail boat right from the beach. The snorkeling trip was awesome with seven different stops among the islands around Koh Lipe.

We stayed there for 5 nights. Pros: located 150m away from the best beach on the island (sunrise beach), friendliest staff, bungalows are not fancy but are comfortable and there is everything you need, nice cozy area to hangout with hamacs, library,etc , their dive shop in right on the beach and you can stay there for a nap or breakfast with view on the beach. Cons: the hotel is just next to a local village where they have very loud music every day, until past midnight. Forget about a quiet late afternoon chill in your hamac and forget about sleeping before they turn off the music...the hotel staff isn’t responsible and there is nothing they can do but unfortunately it was very annoying and exhausting by the end of our stay...despite all the pros above I would not stay there again because of this... :/

the lipe power beach resort is not a 5* resort but for the price they ask you get a very good value. hotel location is one of the best on the island. sunrise beach is quieter than pattaya beach. lipe walking street is only few steps away. pattaya beach is not to far as well. main nightlife and restaurants/bars are located on the lipe walking street and pattaya beach. don’t expect to have sea view because sea view is only from sea front bungalows. other bungalows don’t have sea view. bungalows are pretty close to each other but i don’t think that it should be a concern because you can have your privacy at least a little privacy. bungalows have air conditioner and also hot water shower. there is a swimming pool but the water was so hazy that you could not see the first step of the pool ladder. don’t worry because the hotel is located in front of the sea so you can take a swim at the sea. staff is friendly and helpful but they may not understand english very well. buffet breakfast was ok, nothing superb but ok. i highly recommend this hotel to everybody who is looking for the accommodation with reasonable price and is not looking for a 5* resort. if you are looking for luxury then i would recommend you to stay @ idyllic concept resort because idyllic concept resort is also located on the sunrise beach and can offer more luxurious stay.

If we go back to Koh Lipe we will stay only at Andaman resort. (and Koh Adang isand) We travelled all 3 beaches and Sunrise beach is the best. Pattaya beach was terrible crowded and music all night and long tail boas all over hardly swim. Sunrise beach had same regarding long tail boats, but much quiter. BUT Andaman has prive beach no long tail boats, also close to the nice corals. Close to the walking street so yo can walk to eat there. We ere one of the garden bungallow , there was no hot water, but you can choose to upgrade other garden with hot water. If I return to Koh Lipe, I will stay only here.

We stayed in the premium suite above the check-in counter. Absolutely worth the extra money since we had a nice ocean view from a private deck where we watched the sunrise and were served a good breakfast. The room itself has a unique decorum and the shower and toilet are outside, which was a new experience for me. The lady at the counter was exceedingly friendly and helpful. She took care of all our needs. The man didn't really do much, but he seemed nice enough. The hotel is a little hard to find as it is small and squeezed between two other resorts. If you have a map of Sunrise Beach, the hotel should be on there (toward the south end) but marked as a restaurant. The beach is directly in front of the hotel; unfortunately, this part of Sunrise is not the best. The water is littered with long-tail boats. Walk a few minutes north to enjoy the nicer areas. Also, as some mentioned before, the bar next door plays music until 1 or 2 am. It wasn't too bad for us since the wind was very high that night, but for light sleepers it could bother you. Lastly, the hotel is overpriced but not too ridiculous. The other resorts probably offer more for a little more. I couldn't tell you. I would, however, stay in the premium room again and recommend it to my friends. If you're on the cheap and don't mind a little inconvenience (and discomfort), Adang is just across the sea - a 100-baht/8-minute boat ride. Rent a tent and save heaps staying on the other island. The only problem with this plan is a boat back to Lipe can be unpredictable and you might end up waiting for an hour or more. We were lucky and got a boat within minutes. I also wanted to address some of the comments about Lipe's cleanliness. From what I read I'd been expecting a floating garbage heap. Turns out these were total exaggerations. Yeah, Lipe isn't the cleanest island you'll come across in Thailand, but it was quite lovely and fun. Don't let those negative reviews stop you from going.

We had a great time at Coco Beach Resort. They also offer bigger bungalows and family bungalows, but we had booked just the “basic” Bungalow, but it was perfect. Aircon, hot Shower, 30 meters from Sunrise Beach and inside the garden very peaceful and quiet. Every day cleaning, fresh water and coffee you can make yourself in the morning in your own bungalow was all included. Al lovely resort, run by a family, with a very nice atmosphere. Very friendly and lovely staff in the restaurant and the reception. They really do everything to make your stay comfort and pleasant. Food in the restaurant is very, very good. We eat the best BBQ fish of our whole holiday. We can highly recommend this resort as is our experience and from other people we met as neighbors in our lovely resort. We spent a great holiday at Coco Beach Resort.

Koh Lipe is expensive and this was the cheapest option we found. After we searched the island we decided to extend our stay at Adang as it was by far the best option in our price range. We found the huts to be some of the cleanest, most spacious and coolest on the island. They are located 30-50m off sunrise beach just behind the best restaurant on the island. They were just as close to the beach as most other budget beachside accommodations, as there bungalows are always at the back anyway. We found the staff to be really friendly and accomodating and we enjoyed hanging out and chatting to them. They also provide free drinking water, hot water, tea and coffee, and there are usually some biscuits or fruit lying around.

Only a month old, these are basic bamboo bungalows with some extra nice touches such as quality, sheets, pillows and mattress. It’s close to the best beach on Koh Lipe and walking street, and also on the edge of the local village, so you can get a glimpse of local life. The highlight was the staff who did their best to make sure I was comfortable during my stay, and I appreciated how they made myself and the other guest feel part of their community. Thanks for a great stay!

For first timer to Lipe if you don't know which area to stay. Look no further. This is ideal location if you don't have budget for room facing the sea. It is just 2 mins walk to sunrise Beach and 5 mins to walking street. And then you can see Pattaya beach. Pattaya Beach is too commercial. Sunset Beach is very small. Sunrise Beach is perfect. I told the owner photos of the rooms of this place on web don't do justice. The actual place is very neat and clean. Big bed with air-con and shower.

We stayed in the double balcony air con room and loved it. A bit pricey, but one of the best deals for an air con room on the beach as far as we could find. Plus, it had a fridge and hot water kettle so we could store leftover food and make our own coffee which saved a few bucks. The smaller air con rooms don't have these amenities. The bed was super hard, but that's the norm for new mattresses in SE Asia. Bathroom was huge, and hot water was plentiful. Wifi was great. Sunrise beach is just a moment's walk from your door. The staff were friendly and helpful always. The restaurant didn't blow us away, but there are literally dozens of other options within five minutes walking. There are some great lounging platforms right on the sand just outside the restaurant that resort guests are free to use without purchase. We would definitely return.

I have to say that I was a little apprehensive when initially booking to stay at the Lipe Hostel. However my fears were quickly set aside. The staff are very welcoming and accommodating. They are English speaking, which is clearly a benefit. The accommodation is simple but clean, in fact it is well maintained and cleaned throughout the day. The room is a simple room, with a bed, light and a small bedside table. Perfect! There are approximately 10 small rooms (5 each side), separated by a wood partition, and a lockable door to each room. All the guests are aware of each other, however everyone seems to maintain a quiet routine. Sunrise beach is about 200m behind the hostel, and in my opinion the better beach to be on. Walking street is 5 mins walk away. All your other requirements can be found there e.g. Food, beer, Pharmacy, 7/11. Great little place to lay my head, shower and chillax! I will definitely be back.
