The location is fantastic just 100 m from wanchai exit. Highly recommended especially if you plan to attend the conference in Hong Kong convention center, there’s skywalk near the hotel to the convention. Staff was so nice and really helpful!
Hotel is very close to the MTR station; however the room was very small and we have suppliers sent in packages to us; and somehow the hotel was charging us for packages that were there, which we didnt understand why.
Great place and location”
The hotel was easy to find because it was just near to wan chai MTR. The staff was courteous and very much accommodating since we came there early due to our flight. She managed to accept us early so we can take a rest and not only that but she even upgraded our room into a bigger one. The only thing was we have to pay 500 HKD as a security deposit. The A/C and bathroom were working 100%. Red district area is also near if ever you want to chill(hehe...). The best thing and which we really appreciated the most with the hotel was the transport(MTR). It was very convenient for us to move around considering it was humid and also rainy because the MTR was just near(2-3 minutes walk). The hotel is really secured because the reception area is in the 3rd floor which anyone can access using the elevator but once you go to your room which was on the higher floor you need to top your room card into the elevator scanner for the elevator to go up. Staying in Hong Kong Island was the best decision.
Cheaper when book last minute”
When i book this hotel few weeks back, it cost me USD100+ per night. However due to some unforseen circumstance i have to book a few more days during my trip in HK. Surprisingly it cost only half, i suppose due to last min rate. Location wise, this hotel is right beside the Wanchai MTR station exit. Room is small but ok for the price paid. Some staffs are ok but there is a lady reception who has a bad attitude when kids are running around making some noise. There is also an uncle in the hotel restaurant who is also rude when we're asking whether the restaurant has opened, he impatiently telling you "no, no not open". I suppose this is the culture in HK you have to live with. There are impatience people everywhere, fro bus driver, passengers, restaurant waiter, you name it. Overall worth the stay for the location and price and convenience.
Convenience and Great Location”
For a hotel that is situated in an area known for partying, the room I had in this hotel is a very quiet. Restaurants, convenience stores, convention centre, bars, self-laundry, public transport, etc., all very close by. Easy access to the rest of Hong Kong.
Nice place in a central location”
I stayed for a night at the Brighton, the location is really central and easy to access from the train station, the hotel itself is very clean, the rooms still look modern and very well taken care off, the size is very decent. All in all, I'd go back to stay, amazing value for money
Great for the solo traveler looking for the night life”
The Brighton Hotel is a nice stay in Hong Kong. A minute away from the Wan Chai Metro Station and right in the heart of the Lockhart Bar Scene, Brighton is in an excellent location for the single man. (That is probably all I need to say.)
Good location, clean (but small)”
Good location in Wan Chai. Can easily walk to convention centre. Also only steps from MTR. Lots of restaurants and bars close by. Hotel is clean and efficient. Room is a bit small but OK for business travelers. Not so good if you have a family.
If you need a place that is clean and safe to sleep in the middle of Wan Chai this place was very good. Rooms are the usual boxes that you expect in HK. No restaurant or bar, but none needed plenty within seconds. No complaints at all.
Hong Kong AV Show 2018”
Smart hotel well located at A1 exit of Wan Chai MTR. Handy when it's raining. Lifts infrequent serving 26 floors but functional. Reception on third floor, staff attentive. Room service good. Maids excellent and efficient. Small grumbles - loo paper wafer thin and no face flannels - I provide my own but this seems to be a standard oversight in Hong Kong. Good location for HKCEC and the trendy Lee Tung Street precinct.
Very near MRT and Bus Shelter”
Tough also near adult pub or massage, but can take other opposite street to avoid.
Rated as four star hotel? If possible I would like to give NO star (we stayed for 2 nights here): 1) Bad housekeeping: Didn't replace the bath towels during housekeeping, and when I requested for that they first delayed 30 min but sent face towels, and when I requested again they insisted that they have NO MORE towels that they can provide. What??? 2) Bad housekeeping: Also didn't replace mineral water, and when requested they say they only provide water for the first day. 3)Terrible customer service attitude: One morning my father was down at the lobby using wifi and listening to voice messages from work, the volume wasn't that loud but still can hear, the manager chastised him quite rudely for it. And because he didn't bring the room card down, he requested the same manager to activate the lift for him to the floor, the manager demanded identification from my father quite rudely, and only soften his attitude after confirming that he's a guest.
Hotel near MRT Wanchai exit C”
This hotel is very near to MRT Wanchai exit C. Many restaurants and pubs around.
Good service ”
V comfortable room. Cleaning staff excellent. All hotels in HK are expensive but this is the best I have stayed in Wanchai. Will definitely use again.
Great location, excellent staff, 10/10 value for price. ”
Stellar location, right next to the C-exit of the Wan Chai MTR station, and in the middle of many bars and casual restaurants that are busy into the night. The lifts are just inside the main doors on Lockhart Street, and allow direct access outside without going through the lobby. The staff were very warm, welcoming and friendly on check-in, and I was very pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a Junior Suite. The room was great, with a soft comfortable king-size bed, plenty of space for an extra rollaway if needed, a small sofa, good storage, and a big bathroom with an absolutely massive lovely glass shower. The building is a bit older, but in very good shape. There is some wear to some of the furniture, but it was clean and in good order. The a/c was fully adjustable and nicely cold. Hotels in HK of a similar price are often much smaller and extremely basic. While still modest, it was great value. I would definitely stay here again!
second stay here, standard has dropped compared to then”
This was my second stay here, the first was when they have just newly opened. customer service is ordinary and cleanliness is acceptable. location is superb, just few steps to wanchai mtr exit c. however its a little bit far from nearest supermarket though.
Great Hotel ”
As first timer in Hongkong, I did not feel strange and lost due to my hotel's location which is very accessible especially to MTR and food chains. The front desk clerks were warm and very accomodating.
Hotel only 20 steps from subway station, super easy to find and travel to and from. Also situated direct in the center of the red light district on Lockhart which could be a significant plus or minus depending on your inclination.
Great hotel in the heart of Wanchai”
The room is of good size, clean and well-equipped. The window offers a view through the streets of Wanchai. Reception was very good. The hotel is just some meters from Wanchai MTR station. There is plenty of restaurants, pubs and discotheques in the surround. The hotel is a good starting point to explore the sights of northern Hong Kong island.
