Above average
No bed side plugs. No WiFi. Dust everywhere. Best things were the shower and bath and room service but I think room service should be more than just sandwiches.

Money grabbers
So i arrived at this hotel on the 25th nov 17. They had 2 people on reception and the que was out the door. So when it was my turn to check it. They asked for my name so i obviously gave it to them, next thing the women is trying to make me pay £102 for another persons booking when i already paid mine which was £89. Still with evidence the manager and worker didnt believe. In the end they gave up. P.s the rooms are dated and awful, and dont get me started with the creepy picture above the bed.

Look for a different hotel
We were given a room that was not well ventilated and smelled mouldy. There was a small window we had to keep open to let some air in, but that led to bugs getting into the room as well. Upon arrival, the TV was not working, so we had to ask someone to check it out, and when they did, they have us attitude. The housekeeping kept coming into the room even though the “do not disturb” sign was hung on the door. The fire alarm kept going off, too, at 11 pm, 1 am, and 4 am, and when we asked about it in the front desk, they blamed us for leaving the bathroom door open while showering, even though we didn’t, and did not have any explanation for why else it was happening. Every time we tried to ring the front desk, operator, room service, etc., no one would answer the phone. If you need the wifi in room, you have to pay £7 for access. The lobby is always full because of all the events/weddings/conferences the hotel holds. On the plus side, the lobby looked good. And there’s a pizza restaurant connected to the hotel that serves amazing beef lasagna. The location is right behind a bus stop and is quiet.

Disappointing
Apart from the location, the hotel was dirty, rooms in need of modernisation and better facilities needed in the rooms. The bathroom was ok but stained carpets and worn out lobbies and corridors have the impression the hotel was not looked after. The staff were all very pleasant and there were no issues there.

Not coming back
Room was hotter than the sun. Breakfast was awful. Bed was poorly made. Developed a strange rash after leaving. Would rather have slept in the car.

Poor overall
Wifi access was poor in the rooms and public areas. Only one person on reception meant waiting a long time to check in and check out. I was told to go through to the health club for a coffee in the morning to find no staff even after ringing the bell twice and waiting. Room was basic. Stains on the carpets, large marks on the furniture walls and skirting boards but clean with plenty of towels. Shower was adequate. Bed was very comfortable. Television worked which was good as I could use that to try and drown out the noise from the other guests hanging around outside reception which we easily heard through the closed windows. Hair drier and kettle worked and coffee and tea available in the room but only sugar no sweetener. Overall I probably would choose another hotel if I had a choice but would stay again if necessary.

Very disappointed with this hotel.
From the outside, the hotel looks very posh and expensive. However, once you walk through the door it's not the same. The hotel is very dated and could definitely use some re-decorating to make it more modern. When we checked-in we were told that we had been given a free upgrade. If this was an upgrade then I would dread to think what the original room looked like! The wallpaper was ripped and there were marks all over the walls. The bathroom was just acceptable but had some dirty marks in the corners and the TV didn't work. I was also surprised how far away the hotel was from the airport....20 minutes in no traffic. Wouldn't recommend this to anyone. Very disappointed.
