Very good hotel for the price I paid”
very nice stay; i'd stay here again for business. the hotel is located halfway between two dlr stations but you can take a shortcut from canary wharf station through the lobby of a building and then across the footbridge. i ate in the pizzeria and asked for a dish from the menu to be prepared as a salad instead of a sandwich, which the waitress was able to accommodate. the food was uninspired but it was fresh and tasty.
An amazing hotel, for an amazing price”
Stayed for second time at this hotel. Everything was great, room was huge and - even though I booked an inner room with no window - we got a room with a huge wall to wall window and a balcony, overlooking the river at canary wharf.
To All bookers !, this hotel is amazing, the team is very helpful this is my second time to stay at Britannia, this time we extended our stay . The reception employee OANA is very cheerful, professional, smart and solved all our issues and problems we faced in the booking not only this she upgraded our room !! Amazing room with amazing interiors. best of luck Oana and all the britannia hotel team.
Effetive Business Stay”
Two night stay for business at Canary Wharf, great service, breakfast was easy and choice of food in the evening if you can get out is good, right next to a foot bridge to get to the bulk of the offices makes this an easy place to stay.
great location and good food”
Great location for Canary Wharf Staff friendly and service good Great range of food and all tastes good - tastes like homemade not the normal hotel food
My room was a bargain price with no window but got a free upgrade to a room with a river view! The hotel is quite grand but my room was tired and dated. Good size and everything I needed. For the price I paid and location close to Canarf Wharf tube station I would book again.
GREAT HOTEL, FRIENDLY STAFF, BE BACK SOON!”
Stayed here before and will stay here again. If you are in Canary Wharf, this is a great place to stay!
Very positive experience: the location is amazing and so are the views (to the Canary Warf buildings and train). They upgrade me so I enjoyed a 3 people room when stay alone. The room is very well decorated, clean, confortable and warm. The bathroom is also clean and big. Stylish and elegant. Just a "but": the train sound.
Through Agoda, value for money was excellent - normally, we would not have been able to afford to stay here. From my boyfriend and I, a slightly lower mark for location as it was not clear how to us how to get there. It is also not a quick, or cheap, journey into town. However, on our way home, we discovered that the DLR station at South Quay is more convenient than the one at Heron Quays and, because we were only going to Victoria, may have cost a bit less. Breakfast cost us £10 each and was worth every penny. The receptionist was friendly, helpful and even upgraded our room for the price we had already paid - to save money, we had booked a room with no window, but ended up with a window! Now we know what we know about the travelling, we will consider this hotel in the future.
good price business hotel”
located London Canary Wharf, surround by the skyscrapers such as HSBC, JP Morgan, it's good for the price but accommodation is out of date, need to updated to modern hotel immediately especially like USB outlet.
excellent price for a London Hotel, staff were friendly ,after a few hiccups got to our room. Good value for money. Was booked to stay again but lockdown announced 😪
Quick One Night Stay”
Hotel was excellently placed to get to London City Airport. Staff were friendly as I checked in rather late and they were able to accommodate me with a good room. Only issue was that the king size bed was two singles joined together and you could feel the join in the beds.
This was a cheap couple of nights for us. One booked through groupon, which included wine, dinner and breakfast. The other through Agoda amazingly cheap last minute booking for the extra night, whilst we were in London for the 'People's March'. This was room only but they kept us in the same room for both nights. Not fantastic views but you are ivery near Canary Wharf where a lot of building is taking place. Great little Italian over the road called Neame, so went there for breakfast on the extra day.
Nicely located for Canary Wharf Banks”
Location was great for Canary Wharf banks, easily walkable from tube station. the room was small but tidy. It is furnished and carpeted more like a motel room though. There are several restaurants on premises and plenty around the wharf area. Only tried the breakfast buffet, the staff was very nice, the food is fairly commonplace. The biggest knock on the hotel is lack of sound proofing. I could hear pretty much everything my neighbor was doing, to the sensitive types, the DLR trains passing by near the company might be a problem as well.
Good if you're there for Canary Wharf area”
It's a great location if you're there to visit Canary Wharf area. But if you're there to visit the central London, maybe a bit far (although still ok, about 30min away from central).
Canary Wharf Hotel”
Reasonable hotel , bit tired décor, some bathroom fittings missing/damaged but adequate.. Good value for money with a special offer, good breakfast included but rubbish Wifi. Staff efficient and friendly. 10 minute walk from Canary Wharf underground station.
OVER NIGHGT STAY”
GREAT PLACE TO STAY IF YOU ARE IN THE CANARY WHARF AREA!
You get what you pay for”
I had a nice room, supposedly a suite, great facilities, but noise from adjoining room through a separating door was too much, I asked for a change of room, so I got one of the no window rooms, pulled back the covers and not sure what the brown stains were on the sheets. Luckily it was a twin room so slept on the other bed. Staff on checkout seemed sure I had breakfast that wasn't paid for, I assured them I didn't have breakfast. I don't think they believed me. All in all, you get what you pay for, £60 for a room in London is great value, close to work at Canary Wharf, but this room is not close to central London, don't be fooled people
Very disappointing. This hotel is described as "luxury".... Far from it. We had booked an executive room rather than standard. The size of the room was good, and the view was great, but that's where our satisfaction ended. The bed was a small double bed (not king size). The pillows were cheap thin foam, and very uncomfortable. We asked for new pillows, which were quickly supplied, but they were no better. The walls were filthy. There were coffee stains on the walls in many places, and these could easily have been cleaned. They went as far as six feet up the wall. The wallpaper was battered and shredded around the corners. The bath towels were thin and tiny (hand towels). The bathroom was clean, but the covers were missing from three of the four taps. There was one tiny shower gel and shampoo for two people. The tea tray had just two tea bags and two coffee sachets, so not possible to have a cup of tea when we arrived, or we wouldn't have any left for morning. The hair dryer was the smallest I had ever seen, and utterly useless. The decor was very 80's... Peach and turquoise, with a dreadful gold chandelier, and comical pictures in gilt frames (think Boots in the 70's). Such a shame for a hotel which has an amazing opportunity, right in the midst of Canary Wharf. Would we stay again .... Never.
really worth the money ”
The room was spacious and clean, and the location is far away from the underground station. The price is cheapest in agoda and really worth it in london.
