A Night At The Britannia”

The helpful and friendly staff... having jennie's restaurant..... off the main road

Our stay was excellent, the staff were so friendly and helpful...they went out of their way to help us find our route to street we were going to for an appointment... and even printed a map out for us and rang us a taxi...We had a lovely meal in Jennie's... we ordered breakfast and it did the job but was so dissapointed with the black pudding, it had no taste nor did the sausage...and thats a shame for visitors from other countries who have heard of Bury and Manchester being famous for Black pudding... but apart from that it was a great stay... Thankyou so much

historical building right in the center”

old and nice building, location, value for money

The hotel is overall very nice and seems to be one of the historical buildings in Manchester. Location is really excellent, next to picadilly station and all the shoping streets, china town and so on. Rooms are big enough, clean, serviced everyday, bathroom is big as well. Only negative thing is that the hotel hasn't been renewed for ages and even the excellent care, hotel feels old and facilites outdated (old tv, old furnitures). Overall still a good hotel

Perfect for our short stay”

Great location in the centre of Manchester, staff friendly and helpful when I needed to change rooms and when I mislaid my passport (many thanks), clean and comfortable, breakfast buffet good, didn't have dinner so can't comment. I had an internal room without a window but this wasn't a downside as it meant I got a great nights sleep with no outside noise!

Location is perfect, centre of Manchester city centre. 5 mins walk can lead to a few popular bars. A magnificent hotel from outside, however it's pity that the facilities inside are a bit old. Staff are friendly. In general, we had a pleasant stay in this hotel.

Always our first choice!”

Me and my boyfriend always stay here whenever we are going to a gig in Manchester. We've never had any problems, the staff are always so friendly and the rooms are always clean! We stayed in 319 this time on the 3rd floor and it was great, would definitely come back, as always!

Efficient check in, value, location

Fast check in and check out. This is the second time I've stayed here recently and I have been very pleased. I had breakfast and this was varied and tasty. The hotel is fairly old but not without charm and the rooms are clean. It is centrally located and I would recommend this hotel for anyone eating or drinking in central Manchester.

We were there on Sunday. There weren't many people”

Spacious, convenient, low price compared to other hotels in the UK.

The room is very big. It is very convenient. It is very close to the National Rail station, National Express Station (just round the corner of the hotel). Lots of buses outside the hotel. It's easy to get to other parts of Manchester (though we only went to the Manchester United Stadium during our stay). Can get to main shopping centres on foot!

A Perfect Stay for an Overnight”

My husband and I were very satisfied with our room at the Britannia. The location was central to the pubs/restaurants of MCR and our room was the perfect place to rest after a night out. The hotel had a great "retro look'' and our room was quiet and clean. Would definitely stay here again!

Pleasant overnight stay in hotel in amazing historic building in central Manchester ”

We had an impromptu one-night stay at the hotel on a freezing night before a holiday flight. We chose the hotel for its very good location and price and for the fabulous building it occupies, one of Manchester's great 19th-century textile trading emporia. Our 5th-floor room was warm, comfortable, well cleaned and quiet with a view across the city, though I've slept on more luxurious beds. The public areas of the hotel, including the magnificent central staircase, are slightly threadbare but amazing to look at. The breakfast was mediocre: generous, but with low-quality ingredients.

Ideally located in the centre of Manchester at a bargain price of £40. Building is old and hotel can be a bit noisy in the evening. Rooms are basic and bed was ok but a bit lumpy. However for a cheap mid week stop over this was ideal.
