The pictures on the website of an old classis Central Otago pub are misleading. The picture should show a burnt out shell of the pub. The advertisement is very misleading and Booking .com have been sent pictures as proof.

Derelict hulk”

It was clean.
The hotel is a fire damaged derelict building. The accommodation is a separate building, cool on a warm day, with minimal communal furnishings and facilities. There is no security for the building. The rooms are lockable, with good heating and hot water.

Great location and staff were very nice
Bed was not double size, I am regular height 5’10 and still had to sleep tactically so my feet didn’t hang off the end. Also, there was red stains in the sheets - hopefully just paint?

The outlook looking is not very promising but the room was good, good beds and clean, ensuite was ok.
I like it, but the value for money is a bit expensive.

The room, bed and bathroom were all clean and comfortable. For a self stated “economy “ accommodation,” in a small rural village the overall interior standard was really good. The communal kitchen is a bonus for those who might use it
it was made clear that there was no TV, and this was not a problem for me, and at the price I think this is reasonable but some may not agree. The external appearance may not impress, but the interior comfort compensates for this.

Location was great and it was adequate for our needs.
The front doors didn't lock at all and there was no TV. So didn't feel very secure but naseby is quite a safe wee town.

The location was excellent. The evening meal at The Royal Hotel was very good.
The room was expensive for what it was. No internet or wi-fi or TV. Very small in a backpacker style lodge. We paid a similar price in the heart of Arrowtown the next night for a four plus star motel.

Fantastic staff and check in/out process. The shower was terrific and our rooms were warm. Local hotel was great for dinner.
The top bunk should have a safety rail. This accomodation was expensive compared to all our other accommodation in Central Otago in terms of 'value for money'.
