This elegant and pristine accommodation greets tourists, business, and leisure travelers from the moment they enter the glossy and stylish lobby. It is ideally located in the heart of Taipei’s commercial district, with nearby business and entertainment venues. Utilize the nearby Nanking MRT station and visit surrounding attractions like Taipei 101 and the Postal Museum. If the metro system does not sound appealing, the hotel’s location on East Nanking Road allows easy access to other modes of public transportation. Furthermore, one of the MRT stations is just next door. The beautifully decorated guestrooms all come equipped with convenient facilities and amenities. With over seven dining options throughout the Brother Hotel, guests may sample Italian, Japanese, Szechaun, Cantonese, and Taiwanese cuisines. After feasting on international cuisine all day, retire to the Sky Lounge with a few cocktails in hand. Great location/service but construction outside ”
I only stayed at Brother hotel for one night, but I was very satisfied with the hotel itself and the service they provided. There was construction going on outside the hotel, making it impossible for taxis to stop right by the entrance, so we had to stop a block away and walk in with our suitcases. However, when we checked out, the bellhop took out suitcases for us all the way down the block during lunchtime in Taipei, fighting the crowds and hailed us a cab. I was pretty impressed with the speed and commitment in which she did so. the hotel front desk is very friendly and gave us great directions and advice on the nearby night markets. The rooms are clean and average sized. Pretty unremarkable, really. The subway is right outside the hotel, which is super convenient for guests. Also, I found that Brother Hotel is one of the oldest hotels in Taipei, so all I had to do was tell the cab driver the name and they would know it immediately. Helpful to know!
I like Brother Hotel. I will surely recommend this hotel to my friends who would want to visit Taipei. Very accessible to all the places. The taxi fare was also reasonable. The flag down of the taxi meter is NST$70.00. We went to a night market that I thought was so far from this hotel. We rode the MRT going there and it only cost us NST$25.00. On the way back, MRT was close already. We were forced to ride a taxi. We asked the taxi driver how much, more or less, it would cost to return back to Brother Hotel. He gave us an amount of NST$300. It didn't turn out to be that price. The taxi meter was even less than NDT$200. The bakery on the first floor is fabulous. It's the best. It had freshly baked bread. The prices were reasonable too. On the first floor was also a take-out counter of some Japanese food. You'll never go hungry when you check-in in this hotel. Highly recommendable
Review of Brother Hotel”
We had a very pleasant stay at the Brother Hotel in Taipei. Starting from the first moment when we walked in, the porters and the front desk staff were extremely friendly and were able to answer all of our questions regards to restaurants and transportation in the area. The room was very nicely decorated; beyond the typical free coffee and tea, complimentary bottles of water were a nice touch, saving us some trips to the convenience store (albeit the closest convenience store is just across the street). The location is extremely convenient as the hotel is right next door to a MRT station and across the street from a bus stop. Free internet service (ADSL service, need LAN cable which the hotel provides; no wireless) was very convenient, despite the service went down briefly twice on one of the nights during our four-night stay. We cannot think of any bad to say about the hotel, and we would recommend this hotel for our friends visiting Taipei.
Perfect if you don't need all the glitz and glam”
This is a great local hotel and just what we expected when we booked it. All the convenience and comfort we needed without the high price tag. We previously stayed at the Westin right down the street and decided we didn't need to stay and pay the price for an international hotel since we wouldn't be in our room much anyways. The rooms were smaller than the Westin, but still had all the amenities and were clean and comfortable. Even had free internet in our room which was a surprise. The Brother Hotel has been around for a long time and all the locals know of it so it's not hard for taxi's to find it. It's conveniently located right next to a MRT station and lots of little eateries and convenience stores close by. No complaints at all with our decision and we will most likely stay here again next time we are in Taipei.
Families with a toddler”
I travel with my families and my toddler daughter but not my husband. My families can only do so much with my daughter. So I needed somewhere convenience and central, so that we are within walking distance to all the shops and restaurants; to make my trip in Taipei a little easier. The Brother Hotels is on a great location, excellent with their services and a great staff team. It's a very clean hotel and lots of choices for their breakfasts. There are options for buffets and or sit down American breakfast. They also have two espresso machines in the buffet room, which I love because that's basically my breakfast everyday. They have good pastries to chose from as well. My daughter lots her hat one time and the hotel staff puts it back on her head once we got back to the hotel. That was so awesome. So I would stay at this hotel again if I am to come back to Taipei.
I know my rave reviews might sound false to some readers. I stay at the Brother Hotel between four and eight times each year, and Agoda bribes me with 500 point each time I stay there, so here we go: Everything, every time, is excellent. Rooms are clean, comfortable, and have more amenities than I can use. The internet access works well and had ethernet ports in every room, for faster and more secure connection than with wifi, which is also free. My only problem this trip was with airport transportation: The hotel has a van service, at TWD 800 per person. This is always adequate and convenient for a single traveler, but not good for more than one because a taxi, even limo taxi, from the airport is a fixed price of 1,200 per car. You can request the van through the special request on your Agoda booking, and someone will be there to greet you at the airport. This trip, I arrived from New York at 10 pm instead of the usual morning arrival, and someone was there to greet me. He escorted me to the private car outside, and I thought that because of my late arrival, that the hotel sent a single car only for me, instead of the big van. On checkout, I found a charge for TWD 1500 on my bill. It was 5 a.m. and no one of authority around to discuss this. The lesson I learned is that the hotel van is limited in the hours of operation, so extremely early morning, or late evening, is not available. If you are arriving late, use the fixed rate taxi at the airport. Taiwan taxis are clean and honest.
Review of Brother Hotel, Taipei”
Brother Hotel has excellent location right next to MRT which makes it easy to go anywhere. In addition, it is also easy to get to many tourist attractions as the bus stop is also located near the hotel. The service staff at the counter are pleasant, however not all are well informed. During the stay, we encounter a staff who is not quite able to inform us of where about would be a good place to have breakfast other than the restaurants in the hotel. However, the hotel is helpful when we asked for late check out and they agreed. We want to specially mentioned the staff at the baggage counter, she was really cheerful and helpful with information when we care off our luggage at the counter. The room is always promptly cleaned and the best part which is not often provided by many good hotels, is that Brother Hotel would boil the water for their guests. This means that you would always have water in the kettle when you returned to the hotel, other than the complimentary water bottle! Thank you Brother Hotel for a wonderful stay, will definitely recommend this hotel.
Excellent hotel with caring personnel”
Located next to a brown MRT line station, Brother Hotel Taipei is a nice stay in a city otherwise not very touristy. The room was medium-sized, clean, with all the amenities (free morning newspaper, free tea and coffee, free and comprehensive bathroom apparel, free cable TV, etc) The first floor restaurants were good, and I particularly liked the restaurant serving Taiwanese cuisine. I had a different bakery item every morning, thanks to the Brother Hotel's own bakery. Last but not least, the Hotel allowed me to leave my oversize luggage (five items) under their supervision for over a day without extra payment---I did a trip to Taiwan's old capital Tainan in the meantime. I cannot complain about anything having to do with Brither Hotel, the stay with them was just great. Thank you!
Always a good experience!”
this may sound like a false review, but i never had any bad experience at the brother hotel. the people are wonderful. the rooms are clean and nice. the location is adjoining an mrt station, and a new line is being built under the cross street, so access to all of taipei and surroundings is very simple. the only possible minor negative thing: i usually travel alone in a single room. this time i had a companion in a double. the room is very comfortable, but the bathroom sink counter is much smaller in this double (908) than in the singles across the hall. this could be a structural matter, and certainly not a problem.
Location, location and location ”
I have been to Brother Hotel for their famous dim sum some years back, but stayed elsewhere. But I thought their location is just unbeatable as they are location right next to the subway station (Nanjing Fuxing station) and exit number 6 is clearly marked on the signage of the train station. I don’t think anyone can doubt their existence. I booked a single room without breakfast as I don’t do breakfast normally but two slices of toast will do the job. And that is perfect as there’s a wonderful bakery on the lobby level just next to the cafe/noodle shop. The quality of the bakery is great too and I even bought some to take home. The beef noodle soup is truly one of the best I’ve had in Taipei, and he broth is just right and meat was tender. My room was small but good enough for one person, and the cleanliness is just top notch.. the service was friendly in all my interactions with staff members. I would return to this hotel during my future visits.
Nice hotel with MRT station right outside”
I stayed in Brother Hotel for a total of 3 nights and had a great stay there. The hotel is a little older but it seems that they have done a great job keeping it in top shape. In hindsight, I should've stayed at a cheaper place since I was a solo traveler but I have really nothing to complain about. My room was small but what is expected for a single. The best part of the hotel was that it's literally right next to the Nanjing E Rd MRT station. From here, it's one-stop to the blue line, which pretty much can take you anywhere. I guess one thing I can complain about is that I was confused on the local phone call policy. Apparently cell phones are considered long distance even if the person you are calling lives in Taipei City. Because of this confusion, I ended up being charged A LOT more than I anticipated for making phone calls.
excellent hotel at good location”
Recommended hotel for all travelers (Business/Pleasure). Located at the heart of city and accessible to any corner of Taipei. Taxi, Bus, MRT right at your door step. Convenience stores located all around near to Hotel. Friendly hotel environment and good food within the hotel, specially Bakery. This was my first trip to Taipei, Taiwan and I am happy to select Brother Hotel with an attractive price offered by Agoda. Thanks to Agoda.
Brother Hotel - Taipei”
I really like Brother hotel. Will definetely stay in Brother next time I visit. It is not a big fancy hotel, but clean, convenient, no smell (cigarette and otherwise), has several good restaurants on the lower floors, very courteous staff. I checked in around 9AM (because of an early flight). No problems. The lobby staff just gave me the room. No hassle. No negotiation. It is very good for business travellers. For families, the location may not be too attractive. You still need to take a taxi or subway to the shopping districts or activity centers. The area is under construction for a subway extension. After it is done, it should be better location.
Great Hotel with value of money”
We stayed 2 night at Brother Hotel and we enjoyed the stay very much. Staffs are very friendly and helpful and polite. Room is clean and bed and linen are very comfortable. Easy access to public transports and MRT is just next to the hotel. The YumCha at the chinese restaurant is very good at reasonable price. The western restaurant at ground floor is also very good and not expensive. The best bakery shop you can have it at ground floor also. Very good hotel and value for money for stay in Taipei
2nd time is a charm!”
This is the second time in a quarter that we lived here at Brother Hotel. They've been around for at least 30years and have always had a reputation for great service and great food. Down stairs there's a casual restaurant flanked by a popular bakery. Across the building there's another bakery catering more for on the go sushi/rice balls that many passerby's love to partake. The Brother Hotel is literally right next to the MRT stop, which makes commuting around Taipei very convenient. Nanjing East Road area is very nice and safe and is great to walk around at all times of the day/night. I've already recommended it to my family and friends.
A HOTEL THAT HAS A GREAT LOCATION...WALKING DISTANCE TO MAIN SHOPPING,FASTFOODS AND OFFICES...ROOM JUST PERECT SIZE ALL EVERYTHING ONE NEEDED HAD BEEN THOUGHT OF.For one of the first times ever I went away without feeling something was lacking in the room...And it was quiet...Staff were all bright and helpful...After so many years found a reasonably priced gem in Taipei city...Thank you Brother Hotel....
Convenient location and friendly service”
Brother Hotel is an older hotel but well-known in Taipei so you should always be able to find your way back. It is literally next door to Nanjing E. Road MRT station and has a lot of shops and restaurants nearby if you don't want to leave the area. The rooms were older but still clean and comfortable to stay in. The staff was very helpful and friendly as well as fluent in English. They have their own personal shuttle van to the airport if needed (NT800). There is a bakery/cafe and sushi shop on the lobby floor and other restaurants in the hotel as well. Good value for money, I would not mind staying here again.
Comfortable hotel, perfect location”
Although our stay was short, it was very good. We took a city bus that lasted approx an hour from the Taoyuan airport. The stop was just adjacent to the Brother hotel. Upon arrival, the front desk was courteous and quick to check us in. They also gave us some information left by our "tour guide," and gave it to us promptly at check in. Our room was average hotel size, which was perfect, especially for the price. Breakfast wasn't included in our price, but there was a bakery in the lobby that had tasty and very reasonably priced baked goods. We were directly next to the MRT and centrally located in the city, which made for very convenient travel.
Top notch quality and value for money”
We are return guests. Brother hotel delivered exact same high quality service. Very comfortable room, crisp clean bed, clean bathroom with beautiful mirror and nice warm toilet seat! Underground station is right outside the hotel. Lots of food choice inside the hotel and around the area. Well known bubble tea shop 春水堂 is just right across from the bakery side of the hotel. We also found a good hair salon just next door from bakery door side too. Take lift up to 4th floor. The hair stylist is experienced and deliver good service in ridiculously low price (around USD 8 for hair wash and blow dry).
Efficient, Clean and Quiet Hotel Rooms”
Excellent place for the business traveller to stay. The Brother Hotel is located actually next to a subway station; it is the first drop-off for the airport limousine bus from the airport; the service is fast, friendly and efficient. It is within minutes of the centre of Taipei and no need to take taxies at all. Rooms are clean, quiet and well aired (not stuffy). Has a great Italian restaurant (Grissini's) on the Ground Floor and a very good western bakery.
