perfect location, free wi-fi, space used smartly ”
perfect location, free fast-speed wi-fi (with its own router per room, unlike the other hotels i've been in), room space/s were used very smart, ergonomics furniture. great value for your money, considering that they have not opened yet, i was informed that they started operational opening in march 2012, but their grand opening is not until next month: july 2012. pool usage was not very strict (unlike with the 2 4-star hotels i've used in ortigas area for the past 12 months)and i've been going to philippines every 2-3 months with my family. the bsa twin towers has two 52-storey towers (tower a & b) with 2 types of pool at the 52nd floor (connected by a bridge, almost similar to petronas twin towers i've been in to in malaysia. the pool at tower a was a lap swimming pool while at tower b is a lagoon pool, which is still not operational, at least during my 2-night stay there.. they were cleaning it. each pool has its own jacuzzi on each sides. what i really really liked about this hotel is the location. sm megamall is just at a crosswalk from the main door of the hotel no need for taxi which was a great saving for us! bec. it's atleast 50-70 pesos each way for a taxi/cab for us, including tip. st. francis square (for bargain or whole sale shopping) is just outside on the left-hand side and the podium (for more upscale shopping) is on the right-hand side of the main hotel door. taxis/cabs are available at the crosswalk (megamall taxi bay). take note however that i've observed there were 1 or 2 working elevators at the time i visited and construction was still on-going, but tolerable (unlike from the reviews i've read) and the areas/hallways around the elevators are still not properly ventilated, because they are still obviously unfinished. they also used the pool area as a breakfast buffet and/or function area, which is kind of awkward bec. it would look like you were crashing someone else's party (but heck! one of the reasons why i chose the hotel was for its pool).
New Hotel with Modern Rooms and Startegic Location”
i wasn't really expecting that much from bsa twin towers when we checked in but i was really impressed and surprised and felt like we ad a steal when we got to the place. they have a really nice lobby compared to other 3-star hotels, checking in was quite fast and customer service was at it's best. from the front desk folks, to the room service guys, service was indeed excellent. we book the studio room (deluxe) and was surprised when we reached our room (3302). it was pretty spacious for a studio, had a nice and spacious bathroom, our own "cute" dining area, fridge which was big enough, own sink and kitchen utensils, two beds that were converted to a "king size" bed, really good view of ortigas, big lcd screen and really fast wifi access. their breakfast buffet was alright, nothing special but it was good enough with acceptable choices. again, i wasn't really expecting that much from the hotel but i felt like i received more good stuff for what i paid for. room "3302" was really nice, so if ever we'll come back, i might ask for the same room again. and yes, about the location, 2-3 mins walk from the lobby and you'll find yourself in sm megamall or in podium. 5 minutes drive and you'll be in shangri-la mall. it's also 3 minutes drive to robinsons galleria. bsa twin tower is nice based on our experience, the hotel is not yet fully functional i think (their hallway doesn't have aircon) but for sure the folks and their management will up the ante next time and i look forward to another great experience staying at this hotel on our next visit.
Convenient & comfortable”
The whole family agrees that BSA Twin Towers in Ortigas is a good choice because of its proximity to shopping malls and other establishments. The room was equipped with a small kitchen. We did not hear the noise of the traffic from our floor. Our room had a good view of the city although we could not say the same with our children's room. We did not mind but appreciated that the hotel provided minimal supply of toiletry in consideration of our environment. With good and affordable hotels such as BSA Twin Towers plus the shopping malls and other entertainment areas in Manila, we thought that it was like going to a nearby country for leisure (minus the plane fare).
i'm a regular at bsa t.t. for almost a year now!”
almost like an apartment! like my "2nd home" in metro manila.. i keep coming to bsa twin towers, ortigas! and i travel every 2-3 months. i was just here in february 18-20 (from my domestic trip to palawan, then back to overseas flight). now i'm about to book my room again for sometime this month of march after i get done booking with my air ticket! i brought my longtime friend with me to do an ocular inspection and she would like to get a condotel/unit as a property/investment so we immediately got in touch with the salespersons present last month. prior to february trip was my november 2012 trip alone and i must say, i was pleasantly surprised with the changes! the buffet/dining area for example has now been moved to their permanent location at 8/f from the top-deck or pool area before; they also have better menu now and i even gave one of the chefs the credit due to them. i was just happy.. they also have a rubber mat in the toilet now, which was very helpful in my case to prevent me from slipping and falling. thank you! the front desks reps/staffs were also the same, helpful and very respectful. thank you again! even the concierge were as nice as before! thank you! see you in a few days! about to book my room for my trip in a few days!
Still reliable, great location ”
I’ve stayed with BSA twin towers in the past for what seems like nearly 10 years now. I’m proud to say they didn’t let me down. I’ve stayed at their makati branch in the past which I still feel is a decent budget hotel with access to a good location in makati, but if you’re looking for good clean hotel in Ortigas this is still my pick even over a stay in a bnb. The price through Agoda is very reasonable. There is a morning breakfast buffet that I’ve gone to in the past but with the great restaurants all nearby I don’t feel the need to eat there when I can get something I really want so close by at Megamall, The Podium, or Shangri-La Plaza which are all within 10 mins walking distance. Megamall in particular is closest literally one street across. The hotel’s in house office spaces are rented out to various decent massage, salon, dental, and laundry companies which can all be very handy and relatively cheap. The one thing I would say they could improve upon is the basic in house gym.
Excellent Service and Location”
Apart from being so conveniently located just behind SM Megamall, and the very friendly and accommodating staff, it is also sooo easy to book via Agoda. My sister's family was in another building just around 200m away. I booked them online while they were walking towards BSA Tower. By the time they reached the reception counter, they were ready to check in! Similar to me and my wife's experience when we stayed there previously, my sister was delighted at how the staff had been kind to her and her family. Oh, and also she was quite satisfied with the facilities. Thank you BSA Twin Tower Ortigas!
great stay when going to Manila”
BSA Twin Tower Ortigas made our travel in Manila easy and convenient. The room facilities are excellent. We were very comfortable more especially in the room hygiene. We've been in this hotel twice and still planning to come back in the future the next time we will travel to Manila. We can even recommend this hotel to our friends.
Great location at a great price”
If you're looking for a great place to stay after doing some shopping in the best malls in Metro Manila then BSA Twin Tower Ortigas is the place to stay. It is in the Ortigas Center business district and just a couple of minutes away from SM Megamall, Shangri-La Mall, The Podium, Robinsons Galleria, Estancia, Kapitolyo, Metrowalk, Sapphire road, et cetera.
I stayed for a week for surgery. I love that there's wifi and a proper kitchenette to cook meals for when I can't move around much. Location is great since the SM Megamall is just next door, so it was convenient for me to buy groceries. The breakfast was fine but not great, wish there was a vegetarian/pescetarian section with more options. But they were accommodating enough to bring me my breakfast upstairs since I couldn't walk much. I was first placed at the 54th floor for 4 nights in a nice cozy suite, the view was sad cos my window was facing the other tower, but was later changed (not upon request, I was told they needed to do a construction on that floor) and was told to go to the 23rd floor which was a slightly bigger room with a walk in closet. Loved the view, which I really appreciated. I told them it was inconvenient that I had to transfer rooms since I had to move around (with bloody bandages on me) but I didn't want to complain much as it was a better room anyway! The only thing I didn't like was the elevators, some of them didn't work at all and I had to wait a long time in the elevator lobby which had no A/C at all so it was hot to wait in there. Had to build a sweat while waiting. I didn't like the taxis waiting outside who haggled for an overpriced fare. Had to argue with one of them since he wanted to charge me 550 pesos from hotel to NAIA airport HALFWAY through the journey, I told him it was only 170+ pesos from airport to hotel when I arrived (at peak hour during lunch time even!). I told him if he wanted to overcharge, he could at least be honest about it before I got in. The trip was awkward and in silence, true enough, the meter was ONLY 174 pesos and I ended up giving him 200 pesos just because. Overall, hotel was great and I would definitely be back to stay there if I travel back to Manila again. Thank you, BSA Twin Tower!
Second Time in BSA”
i still love my second stay in bsa twin towers ortigas, despite the fact that they're still under "soft opening" almost 5 months after my last stay with them. i was checked-in at tower a, i prefer the tower b so it's a note to myself on my next trip few months from now. you must note however, when you pay via credit card, they will ask for a security deposit of which is refundable upon check-out. i just missed my massage, because they only have limited time (until 9:30pm on weekends)& i didn't see a 24/7 massage service offered in the hotel. note to self again next time, book an outside masseuse to come to my hotel room if i want to have a massage on a time more convenient to me. btw, i have a ph passport but i haven't lived in ph for the last 4 years..
Great location!Love this hotel.”
Really like the place and my first time i was there they upgraded me to a one bedroom for the price of a studio...was really nice!!! I still had a nice place the second time i was there. Will be back for sure. Thanks again to you BSA Twin Tower Ortigas. Although i think the breakfast needs to be looked at a bit.Would rather eat somewhere else for breakfast or just cook something myself in the room. But will still come back because of the staff and the nice rooms.
Great amenities, relaxing, near to SM Megamall”
I booked a Studio Deluxe but was upgraded to a Studio Premier (36th Floor) and it was worth it. The room size is amazing, cooking facilities with microwave, dining area and a sofa (new). The view was great. I stayed there on the 7th May x 1 night (solo traveller). I usually stay at the Goldland Millennia Suites. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at BSA Twin Towers and the location to SM Megamall, Podm, Shangri-La. Ortigas is usually the area I stay in when I am in Manila and as a single female traveller I feel very safe. I only wish there would be air-conditioning in the halls as waiting for the lift can take up to 10 minutes. I will be back soon and this is now my new base when I am back in Manila.
One of my recommended places to stay”
Located just behind SM Megamall in Ortigas, BSA Twin Tower Ortigas has always been one my top choices in terms of hotels to check in for staycations. I like the ambiance this place gives me. The swimming pools are awesome! The room is very comfortable! The staff is very friendly and attentive! What else can I say. Over all, I enjoy my stay here again and I will continue to check in here for more time to come!
We love the location, the comfort of the rooms and the amenities. ”
We booked here twice during our visit to the Philippines because this hotel has a great location, close to SM Megamall. The only complain we have is the expensive parking fee if you have a private car. Other than that, the staff are polite and friendly. The rooms are clean and we have enough supplies for toiletries. If we ask or request for something, our needs are attended right away. We had a wonderful experience at BSA Twin Tower Ortigas.
Even if I requested that our rooms were next to each other or in the same floor the rooms we were assigned were on separate floors. This was difficult because it was very difficult to go to each other's rooms without going to the ground floor. I have never made a reservation for 2 rooms where the other room which was for my child was in a very far floor. In case of an emergency, this would be very traumatic not knowing where your child was and if able to escape. During our stay from August 31 - Sept 1 we were on the 9th foor Tower A. I believe our room was 906D for deluxe. The card key that was used to turn on the lights and air was not working and the bidet faucet was leaking. The next day, our card key would not open the door to our room and had to be replaced. There is also some kind of smell in the hallways. My other comment is the toaster oven in the breakfast buffet area. It would be nice to have a toaster that moves the bread while being toasted and drops it when it is done instead of waiting for it and other people have to use the toaster as well. The plus side is we love the location of BSA Twin Towers Ortigas and the staff is very nice and helpful. I also love the concept of our room having a dining table, stove, fridge and microwave even if we don't eat in the room. Thank you!
I read the comments of previous BSA visitors but I did not let the negative ones influence my decision to stay there. I was able to Check In late in the evening with no lines & no hassle, i was impressed with the 1 Bdrm Executive Suite given to me with a nice city view and available WiFi , enjoyed the buffet breakfast, the prompt response from Front Desk when i requested room cleanup and toiletries, it's safe & secured building and so convenient access to SM Megamall across the street. The negative reviews talked about the long lines at Check Out but i was done within 20 minutes & got my full Security Deposit with no problems. While staying there, I have actually convinced 2 friends already to get a room there. I highly recommend BSA to everybody. So now i know where i will be staying every time I come to Manila/Ortigas like my second home! Thank you, BSA for making my stay there memorable!
A hearty valentine”
It was worth my money. I love that it's in the center of a Ortigas' business district which gives you access to wverywhere. I love the size of the room and how evrything is organized. I like the kitchenette coz we were able to cook our own food. Overall, I'd give it a 4. They can improve on lighting up the corridors and rooms, to give a warmer feel. I also had to use the fire exit one when i was going to the pool area coz' it was just a floor away from where I stayed. It was scary, it wasn't lit up enough. And it looked like an old haunted place. But the room and staff were all great. I'd definitely come back to BSA Twin Tower
BSA Twin Tower Ortigas ”
BSA Twin Tower Ortigas is relatively new hotel in Manila and its centrally located. Its pretty much close to everything..(Makati..etc) and has shopping mall across. Rooms are very spacious, clean and new. Swimming pool on the top is well maintained and look after. Great value.
Really Nice Underrated Hotel”
BSA Twin Towers is worth every penny spent. We booked the one bedroom suite and it was spacious. The interior is simple, but not dull-looking. It's simple in a good way as the simplicity added to the spacious feel of the suite. Bedroom - Quality linens, with a thick duvet cover, 4 pillows, an inverter type AC that blew cold air quietly. There was a built-in closet with a safe, a flat iron and an iron board. There was also a flat screen Samsung TV and a Pioneer DVD that really made our staycation worthwhile. My boyfriend and I purchased cheap DVDs from St Francis Square across the hotel. Living Room - Comfy couch with another flat screen cable TV, a center table and a small coffee table that we dragged to the bedroom and used as a bed side table. Kitchen - Working 4-burner electric stove, fridge, sink with hot and cold tap. Utensils are provided - pots, pans, cutlery, plates, bowls, etc. Dining Area - a 4-seater dining set with a glass table and cushioned seats. Bathroom - toiletries provided, thick towels, bidet spray, rain shower with strong hot and cold water pressure. Overall, I recommend this hotel to my family and friends. It's budget-friendly yet doesn't cut you short on services and facilities.
I liked our room except for the bed baseboard which had sharp corners and where I banged my little toe that still hurts. We are back in the US and am planning to see the doctor. Inspite of all these, I like BSA Twin Tower Ortigas. Our room was nice, location was excellent and the best value for what you get. If we ever go back to the Philippines next year an stay in Manila, I am planning to get a room there again.
