Great hotel in convenient central city location”
budapest panorama central is on the 3rd floor of a historic looking building located close to the main transport center. the hotel is situated only a few minutes of walking from the astoria metro station on the metro red line. the budapest panorama central has only 12 rooms and we had confirmation for two nights during 26-28 april but we were informed by agoda that we had to move to an alternative apartment because it was fully booked. we had to re-book the budapest panorama central on 1 may and we were pleased with the hotel. this is a great value for the price we paid although the entrance is a bit old and not very nice but once you arrive the hotel which has been completely renovated in good design. the room and bed are clean, well serviced and our bathroom has a nice jacuzzi. the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Very nice place for the alternative accommodation”
We had the confirmation to stay at the Budapest Panorama Central located close to the city center during 26-28 April but Agoda told us the last minute to move to an alternative accommodation at the Quality Point Apartments which is only few minutes from the Opera and Andrassy Avenue and about 100 metres from the metro station Octogon. The apartments has a flat-screen TV with cable channels. The fully equipped kitchen includes a dining area. The facilities also include an iron, a washing machine but we do not have a hair dryer in our room. Andrassy Avenue with its beautiful buildings and exclusive shops is part of the World Heritage and is located next to Quality Point Apartments. The Hungarian State Opera House is 150 metres from the property. Our room was new, clean, and very comfortable and the lady staff was very friendly and helpful.
if you are willing to walk the downtown, budapest panorama central is perfectly located for you - just in the heart of pest. i can confirm what others have said already: the street entrance looks ... wild ;-) but the room was clean, big and quiet more than expected. the staff is friendly and helpfull. note: there is no parking lot, but simply ask by email, they provide usefull map, covering several parkings in walking distance.
Fantastic hotel in an excellent location”
Had a fantastic stay at the Budapest Panorama Central hotel - it's not a flash fancy international hotel but it was perfect for our needs, the room was quite large, the bathroom was extremely modern, wi-fi was fast and the staff were incredibly friendly!! Will certainly be staying here again when I return to Budapest!
A very clean and tidy place”
We had a very convenient stay at Budapest Panorama Hotel. The hotel is just near to the Erzsebet hid (about 5 minutes walk). The room was comfortable with all you need for your stay. The interior design was modern and in one design. The receptionist is very helpful and nice. They can also arrange transfer to the airport.
Comfortable rooms and good location”
I had read previous reviews of the hotel describing the entrance to be difficult to find and uninviting, so I was prepared for it. Turns out that it wasn't that bad and in fact, it was kind of characteristic of Budapest. I liked it! And just like what the other reviews had said, the rooms are comfortable and spacious and really great. Besides the hotel being near the metro station, it is also near supermarkets and restaurants are just 5 mins walk away.
Excellent hotel in an affordable price”
Our stay (2 couples, one night, 2 bedrooms) was excellent - The rooms are huge, with high ceilings and a Jacuzzi. There was fast internet connection. The location of the hotel is perfect- right in the city centre, near all the underground and TRAM stations, and near tons of the attractions Budapest has to offer. The friendly staff in the hotel lobby had great English and helped us a lot in finding hang out places for the night and day. The breakfast cost additional 3 euros and was served in the cute coffee house at the ground floor of the building. There is an elevator to the hotel.
Perfect location, only two minutes walk to Astoria, the main sightseeing spots line on M2. And Mini Bud in the airport shuttle counter can get direct ride to the hotel with the price of 9 Euros each person. You can also book the airport shuttle online yourself because the hotel address is listed in the pick up options, so it's very convenient for us. Rooms are cozy and comfortable, but the front door is old and small, so don't be freaked out by the building look. There is a small elevator inside, easy to carry your luggages on. So much thanks to the receptionists, they help us receive my bicycle package, send my postcards and transfer my Budapest city cards to me. Very good service and treat in Budapest. I love the people and food in Budapest so much. They all look like models but treat you like friends.
More an up market hostel than hotel, but good.”
As mentioned, the Panorama Central is more a very up market hostel than hotel. That said, however, it was more than adequate for this senior solo traveller. Thanks to previous reviews, I knew to look for a 'strange'( more unorthodox) entry, that might nhave put me off otherwise. It is very close to Deak Square where many tours commence. There are many Hop on Hop Off lines and worth trying to negotiate the price. I paid 5000 florints for the Green bus at the hotel, instead of 6000, and found it good value for 2 days use plus two river trips . I just went once and enjoyed it very much. Don't bother with your jacuzzi. Like many other places, I suppose, it looks great but there is never enough hot water, nor does it come fast enough to satisfy the urge to bathe. Instead enjoy the hand held shower in a good space.. In short, don't let outside appearances scare you off. Nearby Spar grocery has great sandwiches.
Diamond in the rough”
Great location in downtown Budapest, close to streetcar and metro connections. Walking distance to most sights on Pest side and easy access to Buda sites as well. The hotel is Spartan, with the basics covered - small clean rooms, beds and mattrasses are OK, but they need to invest in new sheets and pillows. Bath worked fine. The hotel owner (an American) has bought the entire floor of an older building and has done a good job of refurbishing each room. The rest of the building still needs a lot of maintenance, once the Hungarian economy picks up again.
Nice location and good service!!”
i really enjoyed my stay in budapest panorama central. the room i stayed was big, clean and had free wi-fi. i would like to book this one for my next trip to budapest!!
Excellent Location Friendly Staff”
Located in the Heart of Budapest, when you enter the Old Building and reach the Hotel on the 3rd Floor, you have no idea of the Comfortable Modern room that awaits you. Some of the rooms have Jacuzzi in the Bathrooms. You can walk to a number of sites from the Hotel, and you right next to a Metro stop when you come out the Front Door. The hotel is Quiet in the Evenings and the Staff is Friendly and helpful.
great value for money”
My friends and I stayed in panorama central for 4 nights. The stay was very pleasant with clean rooms, we had a bottle of wine in the room to welcome our arrival and there was also a jacuzzi in the bathroom - not sure if only selected bathrooms had a jacuzzi but this was a real bonus as we only booked the standard room so was a nice surprise to see this! wifi was very good and the staff were helpful. The location is great, its only a short 10 minute walk to St. Stephen's Basilica and there are shops and cafes nearby.
Excellent location, clean rooms”
nice hotel really centrally located in budapest. will definitely stay again when we are in budapest. really clean and nice rooms. great little boutique shops in the courtyard. the girl on reception is really lovely and made our stay very pleasant. the man who works overnight could do with some training in manners. only real complaint is about the awful pillows - it's time to replace the lumpy wafers!
I really enjoyed the stay, and if I go to Budapest again, I will choose to stay Budapest Panorama Central again.
Good location and nice room”
close to vaci street and astoria metro. 7 min walk to dunai. but. you don't have any panorama at all. only the panorama of inner yard. sometimes it in noisy if you get room close to the entrance door. all rooms are not smoking. breakfast is in the cafe (50 m from hotel) with hotel voucher. bath is good. cleasing is good also. if you need the hotel only for sleeping - it is ok.
Near Astoria metro station that you can connect to Budapest Keleti train station .”
Near Astoria metro station that you can connect to Budapest Keleti train Station . And near Airport shuttle bus 100E stop. Room is clean and comfortable , welcome wine in room . Reception is on 3 floor ,this hotel look like one part of apartment.staff was helpful and welcome and someone don’t care what you are guest or not .
Good location. If you arrive Budapest by airplane, this hotel is excellent. Take 100E bus to Astoria, then 2 minutes is enough. Nice staff.
Extremely good location, clean rooms”
we were lucky and got a little better room that we expected, probably the hotel wasn't fully booked at the time. there's plenty of restaurants near the hotel, subway from the railway station is right next door, as is the largest synagogue in europe. the tram goes right to the center from the door and donae river is just a walking distance away. i can't find much to complain about this hotel, the corridor was a bit messy as many people have pointed out and the elevator didn't always work perfectly, but everything else was smooth.
"Lovely hotel and service with a smile"”
very nice rooms and perso nality, you did t mistake if you chose this hotel for yours stay in budapest
