Quiet and peaceful stay”
An’s Eco Garden was a wonderful place to stay. It’s located in a quiet area, but still a short moto ride from the trails and caves. The rooms were clean, bright and comfortable. The staff was great, especially the manager who went out of his way to ensure we had everything we needed. He even mailed a shirt I forgot in my bungalow all the way to me in Ho Chi Minh 3 days later when i realized I left it behind. I highly recommend this place!

Beautiful Chalet and Landscape ”
The resort and rooms are as in the pictures. We thoroughly enjoyed our stays of 2 nights there. The manager and staff are very helpful. We had our lunch and dinner at the restaurant, it was delicious. Bed, pillows were so comfortable, linen and towels were clean. The location of the resort is in a secluded area, no nearby restaurants. Maybe it could be due to Vietnam just open their border.

Tucked away in a very beautiful little valley, it feels very secluded and indeed, there isn't another resort in the valley. There's nothing like shopping or restaurants within walking distance but if you have a motorbike, it's not far to the sights. Staff are very nice. Food was ok. It's good for people looking for a comfortable, quiet spot away from the crowds.

A gems in the heart of Ninh Binh”
Surrounded by the mountains, this place is like a cocoon that protects you from all the noise and rush of usual busy modern life. You'll be charmed by its beautiful bungalows, the lake and the breathtaking view. We were there just after Tet so the weather is super cold. It also has its charm during calm season. We had the occasion to enjoy the quiet Ninh binh area without too much of tourists. The only inconvenient of the resort was the AC which didn't work so well to heat the room. Otherwise, the food is super good and the service very friendly!

Best Homestay in Ninh Binh”
We LOVED our stay in buffalo! Staff is amazingly friendly and fun, bungalow are big and clean (although everything is humid but not their fault). It is located far remote from Ninh Binh center (10min) or Tam Coc (20min) but worth it! You will be in the middle of the rock with a nice lake in the middle! The real Ninh Binh experience! We rented scooter at the hotel (7$ each - fully loaded with gaz which was not always the case during our trip), and the manager explained us all the things to see including the price, itinerary, .... we also ate every night there, they have large choice and it’s very good! Breakfast is good too! Go there you won’t regret it !

Amazing location with super friendly staff”
This eco lodge gives you value for your money. It is a little bit secluded, which makes it the perfect quiet hide-away on your travels. It is clean, the staff is very friendly and helpful and the location is simply breathtaking. Almost all the food comes from their own terrain and you could even catch your own fish if you feel like it. Rent a motorbike and visit all of the must-sees in Ninh Binh close by, while enjoying the fabulous foods. This place comes highly recommended!

Peace, quiet and good food”
The location is a bit out of town, but with a motorbike very well to reach. The bungalows are suited very nice around a small lake. In the description it was stated a shared bathroom, but in fact for the bungalows facing the lake they had a private bathroom. The staff was very helpful in giving tips for trips around Ninh Binh.

Nice bungalows in a beautiful setting ”
Clean and spacious bungalows, well maintained with a modern bathroom. With the mountain behind, the lake (artificial) and gardens in front, it’s a really beautiful setting. The staff is polite and friendly and the manger really went out of his way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. On Christmas eve he offered cake to all the guests present. The only inconveniences are the isolated location (you need to go into town by taxi or motorbike) and the food that was not consistently good (the included breakfast is fine, but since we didn’t want to go back to town in the evening, we ended up eating at the Buffalo every night and felt we could’ve had better food elsewhere). Overall it’s a nice place to stay if you want a calm and quiet atmosphere away from the crowds.

Idyllic garden paradise”
It is a lovely location if you are looking for peace and quiet. The mature gardens are beautiful and you are surrounded by Karsts and a lovely pond. They have veggie gardens and much of their meals come from their garden. The food was delicious. The location is isolated so you need a motor scooter or bicycle to get out and do things. They do have motorscooters to rent and they advertise bicycles (which was a must in our search) but their bicycles were rubbish. They managed to get two working but we broke down and ended up on foot. Except for the bicycle situation it was a wonderful four days for us.

Thank you Mr Ngoc Tuan for a lovely 3 night stay in your bamboo bungalow You were a perfect host and made our stay very enjoyable The setting tucked away in the rural area at the back corner of the valley, surrounded by the karst mountain was so peaceful The bamboo bungalow was a very interesting structure and a comfortable room to stay in The large bed was soft and comfortable Your tour advise was accurate and appreciated Your organised motorbike hire was the ideal means of transport Your organised taxis were punctual, polite and reasonably priced (140,000 dong to Tam Coc) Again thank you and all the best for the future Juan and Hayley

Buffalo is the best! Amazing secluded location tucked behind local homes and rice paddies. The mountains tower above the property for extra dramatic effect! The staff were exceptional, helping us to get situated with motor bike rentals and providing great tips on where to visit in the surrounding area. It is absolutely magical to motorbike back to the property at night through the rice paddies. The room was quiet and clean. I had laundry done on property for a reasonable price too.

Friendly staff and stunning setting”
Bungalows were very clean and spacious. Food was absolutely great, especially the stir fried duck. Staff are wonderful and extremely friendly, they are super helpful. Location is central to main tourist attractions, but a little bit out of town. You can easily rent a motorbike from them. I would highly recommend staying here.

Very helpful and polite staff - when I mixed up our travel dates, they were so kind and changed it immediately. Lovely and calm surrounding, such beautiful countryside! We really enjoyed, so I give full points (which I rarely do)... and here some environmental recommendations to improve further: Buffalo could put up signs that say to save energy (e.g. to switch off AC when out of room, reuse towels etc.). Best do not offer small packages of bathroom items (packed toothbrush etc.). It could be offered to refill water bottles in main area instead of needing to buy many smaller water bottles. Just some tips :)
