Winter holiday ”
We had a night stay at this wonderful traditional house, the owner is very friendly and responsive and even email us to check on the arrival time. If you are not a fussy person this stay is good for a short stay to experience this traditional way how korean live. The breakfast was normal but was warmly prepared by the owner, we feel appreciate it and really had a great stay there.

Good location and great facilities”
I recommend you to choose this place if you want to experience sleep in Hanok. The toilet was really clean, good staff and very clean. The staff even pick up the phone at any time, which I really appreciate it. I will definitely come to this place again. As my flight re-scheduled, I missed the breakfast provided by them. Hope that I can experience it again. Such a good and warm welcome here.

Clean traditional guesthouse”
Very clean and beautiful traditional guesthouse with good korean breakfast. The manager (Korean guy) seemed a little stressed out though and the cleaning lady didnt allow me to cook my instant noodles in the kitchen. Kitchen closes at 11pm if im not mistaken.

Excellent”
I booked this place on 13/10 (2D1N). We arrived late at the place. We didnt know there was no proper counter at the place which is opened waiting fro guest arrival. The host did send us instructions. But mayb due to the late time arrival, we didnt manage to find the place smoothly. We arrived Incheon around 2pm and took the train to Anguk. We are quite lost when we couldnt find the Sanvoureux bakery. When you saw innisfree/Skechers. You are almost there. We are 3 adults. We booked the room for 3 pax which we find it quite crammed but still manageable. The bathroom was quite small. We cannot really put our dry clothes inside as it will get wet easily due to the shower head. It is all good. I will recommend this place. The breakfast was good (bimbimbap). Host was friendly and kind too.

Hard to locate the guesthouse”
We took more than 1hours plus keep checking and asking the local to guide us to the guesthouse. It was locate at small valley which are so hard to find it. The room itself was very small and the toilet are little too small to bath and the cloths will all wet if hand inside the toilet. Host are very tall and friendly man and the breakfast was delicious. Guesthouse environment same looks alike the Agoda picture and you will like this hannok stay.

Comfortable and Homely ”
Although the caretaker speaks little to no English, our check in was simple enough where he showed us how to operate the door locks and that the kitchen will be locked after 11pm. The room is not exactly roomy but cosy enough and has a newly renovated bathroom. Breakfast is also served in the morning. It was an enjoyable stay for us.

Memorable experience!”
Lovely and cozy traditional hanok. Although the place is quite basic and the hosts speak basic English, it had been a lovely 6 days there. They are very friendly, nice and polite. Feels safe too as a single travller. If you want a nice but affordable hanok experience, this would be recommended one! Kudos to the owner and the gentleman (live-in) who work hard to keep the hanok plesant and clean!

Lovely hanok!”
We booked this hanok because of it’s lovation and private bathroom. .. both did not disappoint. The location is great, right up a lane with a craft beer bar and cute restaurants and boutiques. Walkable to Insadong, The hanok village, and the metro. The bathroom was new and very clean. We couldn’t access our room when we arrived early but the staff were super friendly to tell what we needed to know. We were upgraded to a bigger room, which was a nice plus. I’m glad we decided to stay in a traditional hanok for the experience and I would recommend you do so for at least one night!

Above average”
Don't expect too much though, the room is just literally 4 walls and a toilet. Technically I'm fine with that knowing that its a traditional house and all but what i really can't stand is the *smell* coming out from the drain/toilet. The toilet is clean and dry and everything but however the stench is really unbearable – I don't know how to describe it. Thankfully I only stayed for 2 nights and can say that I'm relieved that I have been there, and done that. Oh, and the lock for the room is just, let's just say very antique style with 2 separate locks and keys holding the sliding wooden doors in place when we go out. Had trouble locking the doors more than opening it because it requires precision to insert the metal sticks through 2 parts of the wooden sliding doors to prevent it from sliding open, then locking it in place. Overall it was an experience, but an experience that I would rather live without.

Strategic location”
The place is strategically located near to Bukchon Hanok Village, Gyeongbokgung Palace & Samcheong-dong. Food & Hanbok shops are all around the Neighbourhood. Hanok is not easy to find at first but loated in alley beside the Whitebirch Story tea house.

Very noisy, annoying morning wake up call!!!”
Owner had a big group of his friends I think as guest, group of at least 15 plp all middle age man they were so loud though out their say. When we ask owner if he can ask them to keep it down he just smiles and continues with them. This was going on till 3am at least in the morning. And if that’s not enough they were at breakfast very early like 7am and loud again, ! & when asked to keep it down.. owner just say sorry & just continue with the loud talking & laughing with the guest. We did not get any sleep! And the night before, they woke us up every morning knock on the door think about 7.55am so we can get up at 8am for breakfast... so if u need to feel like a holiday & not like a school camp... better off stay else were. But if you like boot Camp style with morning drills... this is the place to be.

Bad experience as first timer visiting Korea”
The are not warm and friendly, especially one of the old woman was very rude (i'm not sure what's her name) (gardener maybe). They made me feels first bad impression towards Korean people as I'm a first timer in Korea. But after moving out to other places. I found actually Korean people are very nice, friendly and helpful. Only Sosunjae Guesthouse team was very bad, and not helpful at all. I stayed in Bukchon Sosunjae Guesthouse for 2 nights and I'm regret, not worth the money I have paid.

Nice place to experience the traditional Korean style of living. Went during end of winter which is still kind of cold but floors were heated enough to feel warm. Room is clean and tidy. Bathroom is modern and clean and comes with hot water. The stay includes breakfast which is a simple bibimbap that tastes delicious. Although the caretaker speaks korean only, it wasn't an issue. Place is well situated and near to many places of Interest. For eg. about 5 to 7 mins walk to Gyeongbokgung, 7 mins walk to Bukchon Hanok Village, 10 mins walk to Insadong (shopping street).

nice traditional hanok experience. near tourist spots insadong, gyeongbokgung, bukchon hanok village and anguk station. also close to some of Goblin drama's filming locations like tea house whitebirch story and streets where the characters are seen walking. fans of "The Heirs" can also visit the dreamcatcher store "Pastel de Nata". it's also near the stop for limousine bus 6011 to/from incheon airport. hope breakfast has more flexible timing and variation.
