"I was at Bukit Mertajam for work and had arrived around noon. I really liked and appreciated how I was able to check-in earlier than 2pm as my work event was starting at 3pm. The walls are quite thin so you could hear people talking in the other rooms and even the hallway music. However, my stay was pleasant and the room was very clean."

"Staffs are impressively helpful especially in guiding your way to the hotel. Room is spacious, clean and super comfortable. There are many restaurants, shops and laundries around but all are closed on Sunday, only few foreign restaurants are opened on Sunday. Located in the heart of Bandar Perda, you will find government offices around the area and it is safe to walk at night. I will definitely recommend this hotel to everyone, whether you are a solo traveler, group or family. Only one thing to consider; there is no cab available on the road. You need to call them but there is no guarantee that you will get one as the cabs in Bukit Mertajam are no longer serving. Even if you manage to get a cab, the cab will haggle the fare, for example from E-Red Hotel Bandar Perda to Bukit Mertajam Train Station will cost you around RM30, where the distance is just approximately 1km away. "The main reason I choose this hotel is because it is situated in a surrounding area of my mother's house in Alma, Bukit Mertajam. Everytime when I go back to Bukit Mertajam, I will choose this hotel. It's easier for me to go to and fro. The hotel is clean and the staff is friendly. Since my husband is a goverment servant, the rate is cheaper than the public rate. "

"Stayed in standard twin room with two super single beds, the mattress and pillows are very high quality, not to mention about the size of the room is actually the same as triple deluxe room, very spacious can fit another bed there (just that they don’t utilise the extra space for sofas or table but you have no trouble placing your luggage inside the room). For entertainment the TV is equipped with DTTV where you can watch national tv channel in HD. Basic bathing shampoos are there but it is better to bring your own, towels are great in terms of absorption and thickness. They use popular Japanese brand for air conditioning - YORK, which is very uncommon in hospitality industry. Overall the equipment provided is very generous, high quality won comfort stay and full five star review!"
