Aqua Boracay
Bulabog Beach,Bulabog Beach - View on map
"Been to boracay several times before and had some problem/issues with previous hotels we’d stayed that’s why there’s hesitation going back... but still we want to see the new boracay after rehabilitation, and found this new hotel.... very friendly receptionist and all the staff, so helpful with our queries and accommodating with our requests.... my nieces and nephew loves it so much, saying the best hotel they’ve stayed in boracay... only the con, no service/shuttle going to dmall(though you can walk going there, almost half km) but they are working on it since they are only in soft opening... nice ambiance, spacious room, great facilities and services, and of course the kids love the pool and the beach (low tide in the afternoon, so enjoying it in the morning)... special mention to Ms Joy, Ms Jessa and Mr Marc (receptionists) and our room housekeeper Razel - kudos to them for making us at home. Til our next stay ;) "

7Stones Boracay
Bulabog Beach,Bulabog Beach - View on map
"It was an awesome resort hotel to stay in. Because I visited Boracay from Aug 20 to 23 during its rainy season in Philippines, the location of the hotel was better than the ones on the White Beach because the Bulabog beach had low waves and less winds. Also parasailing activities and scuba diving and etc. were all done on Bulabog beach that it was more helpful. The hotel had generally great service and breakfast. Because I stayed at a deluxe double suite which is the highest level of rooms at 7Stones, I was mostly satisfied with the interior, furniture, space and location of the room. Especially I loved the mattress of the bedroom. It was firm and comfort that I could have a deep sleep during the stay. However, just one thing I was surprised at the hotel was the fact that I found a huge cockroach in the bathroom once. It was not running around but it was standing on the wall of the bathroom faucet area. It was disgusting to look at but I didn't want to make a hassle to chase it around in the early morning so I left it as it was, and later it disappeared somewhere. I didn't mention this complaint to the hotel while I stayed so I am not sure if the staff is aware of this problem. I am sure the hotel is managed as clean as possible always but I think prevention of insect propagation is the issue of the hotel. Otherwise, overall I would definitely like to recommend this hotel to my friends who visit Boracay. PS The wi-fi internet didnt work very well in bedroom area. It was only strong in living room area for me. I hope this service can also be improved later."

Ferra Hotel and Garden Suites
Bulabog Beach,Bulabog Beach - View on map
"My husband and I went to Boracay for my birthday celebration and we both enjoyed our stay in Ferra. It’s just about 7mins walk going to the beach and alot of establishments are just within the vicinity of the hotel which is very convenient. Dmall is just about 5 mins walk and there are banks/ATM and fastfoods and other restaurants. All their staff are polite, very accomodating and responds to our queries right away. We arrived in the hotel around 12:30pm and they offered us a refreshing complementary drinks. But, we had to wait until 2pm for check in time since our room is not yet ready. All of them greets their guests with a big smile even their guard. Upon checking in I was suprised that the room they provided us with bigger one, cause I booked for deluxe queen and fortunately we have the king size room equipped with bathtub. In terms of cleanliness, everything is clean and they change the linens when we requested for it. Clean towels are provided everyday as well. One problem we encountered is the wifi connection. We had to call the reception just so we can connect everytime, I dunno what’s wrong, but ones we’re connected the internet speed is okay. The breakfast buffet is also great, i loved their beef tapas. 😊 Our flight going back is 8:20am so we had to leave early and they provided us with packed sandwich and a bottle of water. Thank you ferra! We will be back definitely! "

Levantin Boracay Resort
Bulabog Beach,Bulabog Beach - View on map
"Everything seemed perfect at Levantin. The food was very good and reasonable except for the Beef Salpicao that I think was overrated and overpriced. The staff were so helpful and made sure that we were well attended. esp. Joy and Jeffrey. The view in this hotel is priceless. Sunrise is spectacular. However forget about taking a plunge in Bulabog beach because it is not safe ( I guess). Just a few meters away you can find huge pipe which I believe is what they are referring to as the sewage pipe. I stayed there with my husband and a 1 and half year old daughter. White beach is a about 10 minutes walk. It was a bit tiring though but I guess it was okay. I will definitely be back in this hotel if ever I go back to Boracay. BTW, Puka Beach is the best for me to swim. I hope it remains untouched. I felt a bit sad when I saw White Beach. It's really too commercialized. You can't even take a good picture because it's too crowded and there are a lot of construction going on. I missed the pristine Boracay :( "

The Lazy Dog Bed & Breakfast
Bulabog Beach,Bulabog Beach - View on map
"It can be the best place I have ever stayed in with such a nice price. The staff are all very friendly and nice, they treated us like real family and they smiled all the time. They're also well-trained in cleaning the room, and served meal fast enough. The name of this hotel is absolutely coming from the Dog who always slept on the around near the checkin-counter. He is so adorable that we couldn't help waiting to take pictures! Five different kinds of breakfast are served very morning and they're all delicious. Water and orange juice are endless. For the location, 30 seconds walk to Bulabog Beach and 3 mins to D'mall, very convenient place. Room establishments are well equipped, giving us a very comfortable experience with relaxed music from outside. I recommend all of you to stay in Lazy Dog. If I have second chance to visit Boracay, I'm sure it will be my option."

Ralph's Place
Bulabog Beach,Bulabog Beach - View on map
"This is a great place to stay in Bulabog beach area. The design of this place is so closely knit with the nature around. Although we stayed at multiple locations in Boracay, but at Ralph's place - Mr.Ralph & his teams's hospitality was truly the best. The friendly receptionist Ms.Milky, took care of everything needed during our stay at Ralph's. The view and ambiance is serene and beautiful. It is situated very close to the Bulabog beach side, where a lot of kite-surfing activities can be done. Their simple breakfast includes a mix of western & local dishes. Ralph's also has an in-house restaurant called 'By the way', that's open to public & residents. All-in-all this is a beautiful place to spend your time at Boracay."

Reef Retreat Resort
Bulabog Beach,Bulabog Beach - View on map
"The Reef Retreat is a hidden gem on Boracay and although some might find the walk to white beach to be too long, we found it to be no hassle at all, since it doesn't take 10 minutes to walk there from the hotel. You can of course go to Bulabog beach instead, which is just across the road that runs outside of the hotel entrance. This beach isn't so nice in the peak season as it collects a lot of gunk due to the strong winds, but it's still a decent beach and the water is generally as clean and clear as on white beach. The hotel offers clean and comfortable rooms and everything is quite new. The lack of a backup generator can be frustrating during long brownouts , but otherwise our stay was better than we hoped for. If you're into windsurfing or kitesurfing, then this is the hotel for you, as there are two schools and equipment rental places right next to the hotel. We would recommend this hotel to anyone that's looking for a slightly quieter stay off the beaten path in Boracay."

"winnie and his staff are super nice and helpful with any questions about the island or anything else. it's great to return to a freshly made room and refreshed toiletries. the room and bathroom are both large and wonderfully fitted out. located on south bulabog beach it is close to dmall and d'talipapa for shopping. also an easy walk (once you find the way over the hill) through to white beach. nice to be in a quiet location. during the day we had the whole beach (bulabog) to ourselves (low season). winnie has a kiteboarding school that is internationally recognised as well!"

Mecasa Hotel
Bulabog Beach,Bulabog Beach - View on map
"I highly recommend Mecasa for solo or couple travelers as the hotel offers standard rooms with AC and wifi for a reasonable price. Your stay includes free breakfast with options to choose from and it is freshly cooked. Great job! My stay was memorable because of the amazing customer experience thru the accommodating staff who always greet me with a genuine smile! They had provided me with a glass with ice for free for my soda (which I bought from outside). I thought they would charge me! Lol! When I left, it was raining so hard and the male staff accommodated me with an umbrella until I got a tricycle on my way to the port. Excellent customer service and hospitality really! The location is so peaceful and quiet as it is near Bulabog Beach, so not crowded, which I like. If you want to go to White Beach or D’Mall, it is just 5-10 mins walk. The hotel is accessible to both Bulabog and White Beaches. I will definitely go back to Boracay and will book again my room in Mecasa! "

More about Bulabog Beach

Bulabog Beach on the eastern board of Boracay Island is a world-renowned haven for kitesurfers and windsurfers thanks to the perfect wind conditions that the northeast winds bring from the months of October to April. Kitesurfers flock to Bulabog for the winds blowing from 15 to 30 knots, the most favorable for their sport. In fact, kitesurfing competitions are held here regularly.

Bulabog Beach’s shoreline is filled with budget resorts and kite surfing schools. The crowd is less touristy, making the vibe more relaxed than White Beach.

The months of May to September are less windy on this side, making Bulabog Beach a good alternative to White Beach. Bulabog Beach sits at the foot of Boracay’s highest point, Mount Luho where visitors can enjoy the view of the island from the viewing deck.
