Quiet place with lovely view ”
View by pool and surrounding areas are lovely, room is big a spacious. We were pretty much only people at property when stayed. Meals are limited along with drinks. If you want peace and quiet in a beautiful country setting then this is the place
Loved it! ”
I really fell in love with the place. I also love how the food is not too pricey. Loved the ambiance. The only problem we had was the a/c. I suggest they put a fan inside. It gets hot inside. But overall, I enjoyed my stay.
Comfy peaceful resort vila”
it was most pleasant stay, there are shops sellling painting. you get to see rice padi field from a well maintained pool. freindly staff . have spa at the pool of in yout room. very affordable. perfect for honeymoon
Been here 3 times - it is a VERY quiet resort - great views, rooms are beautiful but cabinetry needs a little work! Feels very 'Bali'. Bit of a drive into Ubud but free shuttle available and taxis cheap. Staff are so sweet and lovely and constantly cleaning. Will go back again.
Good hotel with the stuning swiming pool view”
I recomend for those who need to escape from the town for peace. The room is quite old but good maintain. Stuff is very friendly and helpful. We love swining pool with the stuning rice field panoramic view. We definately come back again.
If you are looking for a peaceful retreat.”
I like the concept of the hotel, peaceful, tranquil and the country side feel. The hotel looks picture perfect, the flowers on the stairs on the way to the lobby, the pathway to our villa, the villa with flowers on the entrance door and on the bed, the infinity pool overlooking the rice paddies and their restaurant with the view of the pool and rice paddies. They also have free shuttle service going to ubud center and back to the hotel, so getting around the area is not a problem and you wouldn't have to pay for the overpriced taxi's. The staff are really nice, very friendly and attentive to our needs.
Not well maintained ”
Villa is big quite but Dirty. Tv not working, we can't sleep because we heard something noise, dont know what it is!
Calm and piece place but aged and uncleaned ”
Every villa placed individually and away from streets so calm and piece Restaurant and swimming pool have a nice view with the mount Agun and rice fields But this premises got pretty aged and not well maintained gave me a stay quite below expectations
Fantastic value and awesome pool”
Beautiful resort, great service. About 15 minutes by motorbike to Ubud center which is a good thing, as restaurants etc. easy to access but a nice little oasis outside the city center. The garden is beautifully landscaped and rooms are big, bed very comfortable. Highlight is the pool with the sweeping views. Recommend, especially for this price point in Ubud.
Wonderful view from the pool and restaurant! The staff was amazing and the rooms very charming.”
I would definitely recommend such a place! There was a lot of space in the rooms beautifully arranged and the doors to the patios are beautiful. Also the swimming pool was wonderfully warm and the view is breathtaking. We really loved it!
Great hotel with need to improve on the breakfast”
Overall a great resort to stay in ( Rooms are made up clean everyday , Frequent shuttle service ,Friendly Staff) . Needs improvement on their breakfast service as hardly only one - two staff were serving the breakfast and took long for the breakfast to arrive .
We stayed for one week at this peaceful propety just south of Ubud. The villas are nicely separated by walled gardens so not much sound from neighbours. This is a very peaceful spot esp since we were here in low season June. Hotel has a free shuttle bus drop and pick up for Ubud so you can go in for dinner and lunch. The pool area is amazing with an infinity pool overlooking rice paddies, and a view of Batur volcano on a clear day. The breakfast is not very exciting compared to other hotels we stayed at, and cheaper places have provided a breakfast with more variety. The staff are lovely though, as everywhere in Sth East Asia. We tried the restaurant food as there is no where else close by hotel to eat, but unfortunately it's average, though reasonably priced. Best to take 15 min drive into Ubud. Our one bedroom villa was very comfortable. We did get the feeling hotel is past its prime. Also as in Bali countryside there are too many ants in villa but not sure if they can stop this. We asked for insect spray which helped a lot. The villa was cleaned and presented very well each day. Beds and pillows quite comfortable compared to other Bali hotels. Rooms have a very nice feel and gardens lovely, the best is the pool. All and all we enjoyed our stay here. Hotel is close by the painting village Lodtunduh.
Really good for relaxing”
Stayed here just for 1 night, but it was really relaxing. The pool was great with the rice field view. I got a great room with great value price. Definitely would be back here anytime soon and get relaxed.
Quiet location - great value”
Stayed here for 4 nights, group of 3 people in 3 rooms. Rural location with free shuttle to Ubud central. Huge rooms, great size pool with a view. Food at restaurant had plenty of fresh vegies but a little bland. Tasty breakfasts - try the poached eggs. Staff were helpful and friendly - local to the Lodtunduh area. Would happily stay there again.
Great get-away but close to town”
Very peaceful, staff were attentive and gentle - very few guests the week we were there which we think is great but may not suit everyone. Great value for money, very clean - free shuttle bus into town so you get a great contrast between the hustle and bustle with peace and quiet to come back to.
Value for money”
Like all other guests, I think this resort has the potential but not maximizing it yet. They could have refurbish the place, raise the standard of service (eg. check the whole room and replace missing cups, keep the glass shelves in the toilet sparkling, etc), they would up their stars. Otherwise, if you are not looking for international hotel standard, this is a pretty good place for local feel, rest and relax. Enjoyed my stay.
I enjoyed my stay due to the peacefull quiet location. The free shuttle bus into ubud was great and ran regularly. The pool overlooked rice fields and palms and most times I was the only one in it. The food was average however breakfast was sufficient. THe room size was good with tea/coffee making facilities
Hidden Paradise Just Out of Busy Ubud”
This is most certainly a hidden gem! Only a very small resort but in a perfect location overlooking the rice fields. Each villa is individually positioned with its own courtyard and raised daybed. The open air restaurant overlooks the infinity pool, which overlooks the neighbouring rice fields. The staff are wonderful (from cleaners, to reception, to kitchen staff)and due to it's size, breakfast is personally cooked to order each morning. My two young children enjoyed the pool, the multiple fish ponds, occasional frog and lizard. We were fortunate enough to also witness a traditional Balinese wedding on the grounds whilst we were there and we were warmly welcomed into the ceremony. This resort is slightly out of town, but the hotel shuttle runs regularly and as it is a small resort, we were able to adjust the pickup times to suit our needs. We will return! Thank you Bumi Ubud staff, you really made our staff special.
Very pleasant stay”
We enjoyed our 3-night stay very much. The villa was clean, quiet, private, and pleasant, though there was a fair number of ants around (but note that the bed has a mosquito net). The pool is very pleasantly situated, as is the dining area. Unfortunately, the food was not so great, so we ended up having a quite plate of fresh fruit with tea and coffee in the resort, before heading out into Ubud for a second, more substantial breakfast. We rented a scooter in Ubud, so the out-of-town location was not a problem. The staff were very friendly and helpful. All in all, a very pleasant stay!
Peaceful villa with paddy field view”
Away from the buzz and tourists so its nice if you want peace. Very nice paddy field view from the restaurant. The resort is very happy to drive you down to anywhere in Ubud center and pick you up. About 10mins drive away. There are a few food stalls selling local food about a stone's throw away. Food served at resort is edible. Very friendly, helpful staff with good attitude. Convenience is a consideration but I will go back again.
