Best hotels & accommodations in Phu Quoc Island

We really loved the Thanh Kieu Resort. We were in Phu Quoc for 4-nights in February. The weather was tolerable and the ocean at that time is clean and not rough at all. The location, the beach, the staff. We really didn't know what to expect but when we got there, we were blown away. The bungalows, although a tad rustic, were quaint and comfy. The semi-outdoor ba...

We had a great time in Phu Quoc and overall this resort was great but had some minor issues. There were only 3 other couples staying at the resort but the staff somehow acted like the place was booked full. We had laundry done and at the resort after being told they charge more for this but they did a better job. After leaving the resort we smelled the clothes and t...

This is a wonderful hotel! It is located away from the crowded beaches. They have kayaks, snorkel sets, life jackets, and beach toys available to use. Our kids loved it ! Breakfast was included and amazing. Dinner and lunch options were plenty and they did bbq’s two of our nights. Very reasonably priced food and drinks. Driver at the hotel you can hire for an is...

The hotel is far from the center so it's quite enough for you to relax if you are looking for a place to stay after your busy days. I love the garden, it's small and colorful, the pool is nice. I would like to recommend this resort for my friends and family P/S: It takes 5 minutes go to the Ong Lang beach from the hotel, the very nice beach in Phu Quoc Island.

A wonderful weekend away out of the city. The beach is a definite drive away in the golf cart, but is not the nicest beach on Phu Quoc. Food at the resort is also pretty average, but satisfactory. However the hotel itself and the staff that run it are both fantastic. It was the perfect location for an easy and relaxing weekend away. Will happily go back at some point....

This hotel is very pleasant. The staff helped us with our laundry and arranged an island tour for us which was quite successful. The room is nice, and we liked that the bathroom is outdoors (but still very private). If you’ve never been to Phu Quoc before and are seeking a mellow beach vacation, however, I would recommend staying in a more remote part of the island. D...

We booked Coco-Palm Resort for our honeymoon because we were looking for a romantic and private get-away. We were not disappointed! It's only been open for a few months and they are still ironing out a few details but we absolutely loved our honeymoon and we plan to go back often. The beach at Coco-Palm is nicer than the one next door at Mango Bay. The room was pri...

The best part of this place was the pool! The kids spent most of their time in the pool when we weren't at the beach. Beach is about a 10 min. walk. So in that case, the hotel is in a great location. Far from the main part of town, but we liked being away from the crowded areas. There are several restaurants nearby so a scooter isn't necessary unless you want to explor...

I stayed here for 6 nights last week and was very happy. The room is very spacious with aircon and hot shower equipped. For the rate, this is an excellent value for money option in Phu Quoc. The bungalow's owner and staff were very professional and helpful. I lost my ID just before heading to the airport and they helped me obtain an ETD from the police quickly, on Satu...

For the money, the hotel was fine. The apartment was clean and spacious, the hotel staff were kind and helpful. We left Phu Quoc earlier than planned because we just didn’t like the area or the beach, but that’s a personal opinion - there were many happy tourists there! We prefer our holidays in quieter, less touristy places.

This was our second time staying at sunglight, and it was just perfect again! All the staff are just great the rooms are clean, and the location quiet your only about 2 minutes from long beach, and a 30 second walk from the Main Street where there are lots of shops, they also have a restraint at the end which is really popular and does good seafood, and other items on ...

We were a group of 5 staying in 3 different rooms. The hotel is very nice and clean, the rooms are large and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The only downsides were the F&B manager who didn’t speak any English and was very unpleasant. He tried to overcharge us several times! The breakfast is a bit poor.

We booked this hotel for two nights. Cosy bed and it is pretty enough for two-pax stay. Bathroom is open area with natural sunlight shining through the plastic roof, which turns out quite wet if it rains. Motorbike rent at 150,000 dong per day. We had electricity cut-off after a thunderstorm at night, and the friendly security guard barely understood english. Eventuall...

Number one place in Phu Quoc. Quiet beach near and friedly staff. Little high prices. We spend 7 nights in superior beach house no 5 what was best one. 20 meters from beach. There is some rocks in the beach but you can do snorkkeling there and see fishes and seaweeds. 20 minute walk to little village where is lots of good restaurants and by the main road a ATM. From Bo...

Overall, I liked the grounds and facilities here and the staff were very friendly. But it is a long walk to the beach from here and like 2km from where the night market is, so have to take a taxi unless you like walking really far. Next time will choose either a place closer to the beach or closer to the night market. There were some cheap motorbike rental places just ...

Booked this place mainly as is had a washing machine in the bungalow to clean our clothes. We did a wash twice and didn’t clean our clothes properly. We asked a lady to help with cleaning them as we didn’t know if we should use a different setting on the machine. She spoke little English but brought some products to pour in. We let her wash them then came to take them ...

Bungalow was great, breakfast great, overall amenities great, motorbike great, staff great (except for the lady at the breakfast during the both days we stayed here, she was so rude we actually thought she was joking at first!!). We actually asked to stay longer than what we had planned but it was already fully booked unfortunately. Location; motorbike advised althou...

We picked Phu Quoc for the chilled bit of our travels around Vietnam. The Hill Resort was great. Nice quiet spot away from the busy main drag. Lovely family run it and they were really helpful. The rooms are spacious and spotless, The breakfasts were great and we enjoyed the pretty pool area. It’s not far from the airport but you don’t hear the planes at all. Taxi fro...

We stayed in 2 bungalows , have 4-6 year old children, we were moved from one bungalow to another after the first day but they offered us money back for the inconvenience, the staff couldn't have been more helpful, especially Chuc who could speak English, and Hein our cleaner (no English but was great with the kids). They helped book tours, helped with bags, were rea...

Loved this hotel. We stayed in a 4 bed dorm, the rooms were clean and the beds so so comfy. The relaxed environment in the lounge area is lovely. Great breakfast in the mornings, all the staff and managers of Tenuee are amazing they make you feel so welcome. If you need a few days away from the hectic cities of Vietnam this hotel is perfect. If you can drive definitely...

It was a pleasant stay at Giraffa. Nancy, the owner is very friendly and treat the guests like a family. It really feels like a home. She helps me to do tour and transport booking and makes delicious breakfast. Would definitely recommend to stay at this place when in Phu Quoc.

Room was clean and spacious. Best wifi we had so far. Staff didn't speak english but thanks to google translator we got along. Staff was still really helpful. Has a nice little pool area where you can chill out and the beach is also like 10min walk away. Not in the city center but for us it was perfect. Taxi to the city center was about 100 000 vnd so not much. Overall...

Wonderful stay with family owned place. Willing to help with any needs you have. From Renting there mopeds to driving you in there van. If it’s a quiet place your looking for with pool, beach within walking distance and a few really good restaurants. This is a gem for sure. Planned on staying three nights and ended staying a week.

Traveler impressions of Phu Quoc Island
Phu Quoc is famous for the friendly, fish sauce, dogs but the most is beaches. You can find a lot of nice and peace beaches everywhere.
There's not much to do at night except eat at the night market. During the day there's plenty of places to visit but nothing too fancy.
There are many things to do here. However, I went with my family and children thus stayed only inside Vinpearl which was enough for them.
Didnt think much of this island unless you are looking for a holiday at the beach and eating seafood.
It's a nice island, but quit expensive. The food and products are expensive if compare to Saigon. But generally it's a god spot for city escape.
Very quite and calm island, the citizens are extremely friendly, good place to visit in order to experience local vibes
It is a great way to rent a motorbike and explore Phu Quoc on your own (provided that you are not over 60 lol).
less developed and rural at its basic. Love how rural it is at the local market... But, in time, it will be developed like Danang and Phuket.
Squid fishing and island touring on a motorcycle were the highlights. Seafood at the night market is overrated.
The people were really friendly. They love to help you find the way, give you advices about the places you want to come.
There are rubbish every where. Plastic and glass allover, even at beaches. At sao beach i see, that hotel worker throw bag of garbage srait to beasc.
I have been living in Ha Noi for two years and decided to have a beach break for 5 days. However my negative experiences in Phu Quoc ended up out weighing the positive.
Beautiful islands with so many beautiful beaches with clean & clear seawater and white smooth sand but the waves are not strong, not suitable for people who love surfing.
If you're into sitting by the pool or on the beach just relaxing and doing nothing, then Phu Quoc is a good place to go.
Phu Quoc Island is such a new tourism attraction in Vietnam. I got a bad impression of Phu Quoc Island.
This is our first time travel here. It turned out perfect. We would like to recommend to everyone not to miss out for your short holiday and we will be back again.
In one day, visitors can experience the culture of Vietnam at the local market in the morning, relax on a remote and stunning beach in the afternoon, enjoy a delicious dinner and drinks at one of the restaurants and enjoy accommodation at the variety of hotels and resorts on this superb island getaway.
Relaxing place. Should come up with more activities on the island. generally still not so commercialize yet hence it is good.
It's ok if you take a resort with high paying. Going solo you would pay much for such a city with very high price for eating, seafood is not cheaper than eating it in Ho Chi Minh city.
I was passing through , so could have stayed at any of the beaches out of town . I hired a scooter for 2 days , 2000000 /day .
I think this island makes us relaxed. this island has both well developed areas and undeveloped area.
We chose PhuQuoc, as we were looking for somewhere warm to swim. The island is very quiet and still not developed.
Great place for a family or a couple to visit. Beaches are clean, the water is warm and the seafood flows.
A nice island with good beach/sand and relaxation. Seafood is fresh, good and widely popular obviously.
Nice island with quite some places and things to discover: - It is an nice island, so all regular sea/beach/sand related: sea boating/cruising/swimming, diving, snorkelling.
A visit to the night fish Market is a must but you can also enjoy fresh fish at all restaurants .Tours can be arranged and i would recommend a boat trip out to go snorkelling / diving extremely cheap well organised and staff at rainbow divers are professional and safety concious .
a couple nights here is honestly enough. Food and drink and hotels are so expensive and not so great.
Unfortunately, being Australian we are spoilt. The beaches here are overrated and dirty. If you want to look at the beautiful sunsets, lie in a hammock, ride around the island exploring - you will have a great time but the water has rubbish.
Gorgeous island with beautiful white sand and clear blue waters. The nicest part of Viet Nam in my opinion.
Phu Quoc Island is totally different from HCM city. The security standard is better. The food are cheaper and more delicious
