Find Bungalows in Phu Quoc Island, Vietnam

We really loved the Thanh Kieu Resort. We were in Phu Quoc for 4-nights in February. The weather was tolerable and the ocean at that time is clean and not rough at all. The location, the beach, the staff. We really didn't know what to expect but when we got there, we were blown away. The bungalows, although a tad rustic, were quaint and comfy. The semi-outdoor bathroom/showers were gorgeous. You can walk or rent a scooter and explore the strip where there's plenty of restaurants and bars. Check out the Night Market for good street food and souvenirs. The restaurant at the resort was somewhat pricey, but they had some good food and the staff there was also great. Phu Quoc is a tad more expensive than the rest of Vietnam but not bank-breaking. I would love to come back here.

We had a great time in Phu Quoc and overall this resort was great but had some minor issues. There were only 3 other couples staying at the resort but the staff somehow acted like the place was booked full. We had laundry done and at the resort after being told they charge more for this but they did a better job. After leaving the resort we smelled the clothes and they stunk like they hadn't really been washed. Also a white shirt of my wife's was turned black. We had also hired a driver for a half day to take us around the island. We returned tired and hungry. We asked to have lunch at the resort and they were annoyed that we asked for this. After about 20 minutes the chef appeared and annoyingly cooked the few things they had. After lunch we told the staff we were going to take a nap, and 10 minutes later there was a knock at the door from housekeeping. Very annoyed that with 3 guests they had, they waited till we returned to clean.

This is a wonderful hotel! It is located away from the crowded beaches. They have kayaks, snorkel sets, life jackets, and beach toys available to use. Our kids loved it ! Breakfast was included and amazing. Dinner and lunch options were plenty and they did bbq’s two of our nights. Very reasonably priced food and drinks. Driver at the hotel you can hire for an island tour, to take you wherever you please. There was a boat to charter to take you snorkeling at a nearby island. Staff went out of their way to make sure all were happy. No touts on beach selling things. Construction going on nearby but I believe this is the reality of Phu Quoc and it didn’t bother us at all, save for a crane in the background of our sunset pictures.....Perfect location for a family or a couple wanting to be away from the busy beach areas.

A wonderful weekend away out of the city. The beach is a definite drive away in the golf cart, but is not the nicest beach on Phu Quoc. Food at the resort is also pretty average, but satisfactory. However the hotel itself and the staff that run it are both fantastic. It was the perfect location for an easy and relaxing weekend away. Will happily go back at some point.

This hotel is very pleasant. The staff helped us with our laundry and arranged an island tour for us which was quite successful. The room is nice, and we liked that the bathroom is outdoors (but still very private). If you’ve never been to Phu Quoc before and are seeking a mellow beach vacation, however, I would recommend staying in a more remote part of the island. Duong Dong is busy, loud and dirty- just like the cities on the mainland that you were hoping to retreat from. It’s also worth noting that food is exponentially more expensive than the mainland. The hotel was walking distance from the beach, the night market, and multiple restaurants. It’s just not that pleasant to walk on Duong Dong- the sidewalks are filled with motorbikes and garbage. Ultimately the hotel exceeded our expectations but the destination did not.

We booked Coco-Palm Resort for our honeymoon because we were looking for a romantic and private get-away. We were not disappointed! It's only been open for a few months and they are still ironing out a few details but we absolutely loved our honeymoon and we plan to go back often. The beach at Coco-Palm is nicer than the one next door at Mango Bay. The room was private, clean and elegant with a pretty view of a lush garden and the sea in the near distance. The best thing about our stay besides the awesome beach was the people - Mr. Hom and his staff treated us as if we were family and made our stay so pleasant we didn't want to leave. Ever. The menu is smaller than at Mango Bay but it's cheaper and everthing is yummy and huge portions - the BBQ squid is to die for! The cook was always bringing us little treats to try like coconut jelly (mmmmm) and mango fritters (we made her promise to put these on the menu). They don't have any massage yet but they are planning to set this up. We went next door to Mango Bay for massages - their facilities are very nice. $20 per hour is more expensive than at the massage places on Long Beach but you get scented oil and a swanky spa so it's worth it. Things are going to change on Phu Quoc when the international airport opens. For now it's a sleepy little beach town with amazing seafood, pretty, fairly unpolluted beaches (Sao Beach was the nicest), and, if you stay in a smaller place like Coco-Palm, the warm hospitality that makes a vacation memorable for a lifetime. Thank you Coco-Palm and Phu Quoc! You gave us a perfect honeymoon.

The best part of this place was the pool! The kids spent most of their time in the pool when we weren't at the beach. Beach is about a 10 min. walk. So in that case, the hotel is in a great location. Far from the main part of town, but we liked being away from the crowded areas. There are several restaurants nearby so a scooter isn't necessary unless you want to explore more. The rooms were a good size for our family. I didn't love the bathrooms (pretty much an outdoor bathroom with just a screen separating you and the outside critters!), but other than that, I would recommend this place!

I stayed here for 6 nights last week and was very happy. The room is very spacious with aircon and hot shower equipped. For the rate, this is an excellent value for money option in Phu Quoc. The bungalow's owner and staff were very professional and helpful. I lost my ID just before heading to the airport and they helped me obtain an ETD from the police quickly, on Saturday in the late afternoon. I was beyond grateful. If I ever return to Phu Quoc I will definitely stay here again and will recommend this place to anyone.

This was our second time staying at sunglight, and it was just perfect again! All the staff are just great the rooms are clean, and the location quiet your only about 2 minutes from long beach, and a 30 second walk from the Main Street where there are lots of shops, they also have a restraint at the end which is really popular and does good seafood, and other items on the menu and good also. I recommend anyone in the area staying here, it’s the perfect place, while we were there we even booked again for next month and they were really helpful.

We booked this hotel for two nights. Cosy bed and it is pretty enough for two-pax stay. Bathroom is open area with natural sunlight shining through the plastic roof, which turns out quite wet if it rains. Motorbike rent at 150,000 dong per day. We had electricity cut-off after a thunderstorm at night, and the friendly security guard barely understood english. Eventually we managed to look for the fuse box and turn the electricity back on. Thanks for the stay!

Number one place in Phu Quoc. Quiet beach near and friedly staff. Little high prices. We spend 7 nights in superior beach house no 5 what was best one. 20 meters from beach. There is some rocks in the beach but you can do snorkkeling there and see fishes and seaweeds. 20 minute walk to little village where is lots of good restaurants and by the main road a ATM. From Bo taxi to Duond Dong costs 160 000 dongs. This place is good for people who enjoy little rustic atmosfere and hate plastic touristic places with swimmingpools by the sea. Janne & Susanne

Overall, I liked the grounds and facilities here and the staff were very friendly. But it is a long walk to the beach from here and like 2km from where the night market is, so have to take a taxi unless you like walking really far. Next time will choose either a place closer to the beach or closer to the night market. There were some cheap motorbike rental places just outside the grounds.

Booked this place mainly as is had a washing machine in the bungalow to clean our clothes. We did a wash twice and didn’t clean our clothes properly. We asked a lady to help with cleaning them as we didn’t know if we should use a different setting on the machine. She spoke little English but brought some products to pour in. We let her wash them then came to take them out and three t-shirts which were originally pink had bleach stains all over them and looked as though they were tie dyed!! We asked the manager to come and look and all he said was sorry I can’t help you. The clothes cost around £30 and they are ruined. Absolutely disgusting service would give 0 stars if possible!!! Will be getting in touch with Agoda to follow this up as we want a refund.

Bungalow was great, breakfast great, overall amenities great, motorbike great, staff great (except for the lady at the breakfast during the both days we stayed here, she was so rude we actually thought she was joking at first!!). We actually asked to stay longer than what we had planned but it was already fully booked unfortunately. Location; motorbike advised although there are shops, bars and restaurants really close as well.

We picked Phu Quoc for the chilled bit of our travels around Vietnam. The Hill Resort was great. Nice quiet spot away from the busy main drag. Lovely family run it and they were really helpful. The rooms are spacious and spotless, The breakfasts were great and we enjoyed the pretty pool area. It’s not far from the airport but you don’t hear the planes at all. Taxi from the airport should cost you NO more than 120VND

We stayed in 2 bungalows , have 4-6 year old children, we were moved from one bungalow to another after the first day but they offered us money back for the inconvenience, the staff couldn't have been more helpful, especially Chuc who could speak English, and Hein our cleaner (no English but was great with the kids). They helped book tours, helped with bags, were ready to jump to our every whim. Breakfast was limited but what was on offer was great, especially the lemon smoothies (much better without ice!) Bungalows were basic but clean and changed linen/towels everyday if needed. The only downside was the beds were super super hard, both myself and my friends had sore backs at the end of our stay and had both asked for extra duvaes to sleep on to make it softer. The pool was lovely and clean (a little cold for the kids). Bungalows were close to either pool or breakfast area which could be very noisy at night from other guests staying and socialising in those areas.

Loved this hotel. We stayed in a 4 bed dorm, the rooms were clean and the beds so so comfy. The relaxed environment in the lounge area is lovely. Great breakfast in the mornings, all the staff and managers of Tenuee are amazing they make you feel so welcome. If you need a few days away from the hectic cities of Vietnam this hotel is perfect. If you can drive definitely hire bikes to explore the island as from the hotel its about a 15-20 minute walk to the nearest beach - which is gorgeous.

Room was clean and spacious. Best wifi we had so far. Staff didn't speak english but thanks to google translator we got along. Staff was still really helpful. Has a nice little pool area where you can chill out and the beach is also like 10min walk away. Not in the city center but for us it was perfect. Taxi to the city center was about 100 000 vnd so not much. Overall great place to stay!
