The cottages were beautiful! Imagine waking up surrounded by vines in a quiet, exclusive vineyard, having breakfast outside looking at the morning fog and then taking a morning stroll taking in the fresh air! We had some complications and confusion during checkin as the staff mistaken our booking with another guest's and cancelled us, thankfully, there was a empty cott...

I might be biased on my review as we have been offered an upgrade from 1-bedroom to 2bedroom cottage! Andddddd, they even delivered complimentary breakfast to our doorstep! Quiet location away from the busy main road. The owner is nice and friendly. He recommended a few places of interest and restaurants to visit. Chalet is new, nice and clean. Beds and sofa were very...

Avalon is amazing!! Loved the stream fed pool which was quite refreshing & the cottages are so modern/fancy yet cozy with a charming elegance and super comfy beds (got great sleep & at a great price) the views are excellent with tasty mandarin's growing all around........a super easy walk into Kerikeri & just around the corner from the airport too (awesome location). ...

Staying at the lovely Blue Thistle Cottages really centered our amazing visit to Te Anau. We were so awed by Lake Te Anau and exploring the Glowworm Caves and the drive to Milford and the Milford Cruise and being able to return in the afternoons and evenings to Blue Thistle Cottage allowed us to soak in all that was amazing about that area. The Cottages are well appoin...

The kea studio was perfect for us. The bed was comfortable and had everthing we needed including a bbq. The owner was very hospitable and knowledgable about the area. He even helped us make a camp fire which was marvellous under the stars. Highly recommend if you are in Murchison or Nelson lakes area. I

The place was really clean, new and just like what I was expected. I really enjoyed staying here. The room has pretty much everything that you would need in the 5 star hotel. However, the hotel was quite far from the nearest town (26km from greymouth and 18km from punakaiki) . We had to drive to greymouth for dinner and to do our grosceries.. I would recommend you to...

Lovely owner from Germany, very good condition for this new Chalet, through front door can see the snow mount and have very big garden, best kitchen tools and condition. It is very good value for money. The location is not easy to find without GPS, but for me was direct drive to his house.

Our stay was fantastic, the room was very clean with modern furnishings and details. Vehicle parking was excellent and easy, the gardens and the surrounding yard were beautiful and relaxing to walk through. The hosts were non-intruding and very pleasant to talk to. The hosts also provided a welcome package that included local restaurants and attractions. 2 of recommend...

very friendly service and i was able to help bottle feed the lambs. there was a small kitchen with hot plate and microwave which would be perfectly adequate for preparing light meals ( eggs available from no doubt free range chickens on the property) milk, orange juice, bread and a selection of cereals and jams provided. i think this would be a great place to take y...

The accommodation was an excellent alternative to a motel. First of all it was cheaper than a Motel. It was better than all the Airbnb or bookabach who only offered two night stays. Secondly the room was decorated with all sorts of lovely extras and nice touches. The garden between each Chalet gave the impression of complete privacy which is often lacking in a motel wi...

Lochmara lodge is an amazing go-to spot for any type of traveler. staying here gives you free entry to the wildlife recovery and arts centre. you could go hiking up to the top with amazing views of the sounds. spend the day exploring the nature walks, feed some animals including the special kakarikis that they are breeding at their wildlife recovery centre for the depa...

The chalets are located on a hillside over looking the wineries and ocean. You do need a car to access this accommodation but the little village of Mapua is a 10 drive away and has some cute eateries and shops. The Chalets are self contained so it is a beautiful place to enjoy a wine in the spa for have a dip in the pool.

We took our 2 and 5 year old girls for a family weekend away. We found the cottage comfortable and warm. It had a fairly well equipped kitchen so we could self cater some of our meals. The cottage is a short (10 min) stroll to the Pohara beach, shop pubs and cafes. We think the sandcastles was great value for money and we will likely be back in summer for a stay!

Our stay was so fabulous! John was just the perfect, friendly host and very knowledgeable. The property is beautiful and right out of a dream. We stayed at the Wairua for the first two nights - then switched to the Turehu Cottage for the last two. We would recommend either cottage, but the Turehu cottage was our favorite! It has the absolute best view and patio in ...

a great place to stay and still is for all points you could mention. for us this was one the best places during our trip through nz. to say it in one word excellent, as their wines from which you certainely should open a bottle! the estate is located just outside nelson between vineyards in hope. horseriding trips are organised by one of their neoghbours.

We booked twin room for 2 persons through Agoda but apparently they said we only booked for 1 person which was absurd and kept saying that we made a mistake and pushing us to pay extra NZD 15. The owner was cursing in front of us while asking us to stop arguing with them when he was the one started the argument and kept on saying that we were at mistake and repeating A...

The hotel is about 30 minutes out of town by a dusty road. It is a lovely quiet location and has country views. The chalet is basic and is for two people only. The chalet is not serviced. The spa was a wonderful feature as it was used regularly .the TV is so small it is difficult to watch. The rooms could have been cleaner as it is very basic and it would not be hard t...

Fantastic hosts that will give you a wealth of local knowledge on your visit to Milford Sound. You will get to interact with the farm animals and kids get to ride the pony guided. Extremely worthwhile stay and it's a fully self contained chalet where a family of 5 can be hosted easily. The Chalet is close to one movie location of Lord of the Ring and you can mountain b...
