I booked this as a deal from agoda- it was hard to find, but that's my only complaint! The staff were very friendly and I even got upgraded because they were under booked. Very nice views of the countryside, free wifi, clean, spacious rooms etc. Very nice hotel!

I had a nice one night stay here. Although it was a bit far from Pai, I had a motorbike and was able to reach Pai quite easily. The staff were nice and the room was really worth the money.

Very nice place to stay, close to the historical bridge but about 9km. from Pai town. Very friendly staffs, yummy breakfast, nice garden and view. Only con for me is that the wifi isnt available in our room but they are improving on that.

A good little resort except for ...”
This resort has many single- or double-storey villas and bungalows scattered through pretty gardens, around a lake and by the nice swimming pool. My superior room (#806) was a second-floor room with a good bed, a balcony overlooking a garden and close to the restaurant and coffee shop - which offer standard food for breakfast / lunch but did not seem to be open for dinner. The staff were friendly and helpful, and although the resort location is near the main Pai - Chiang Mai Road, traffic noise is not a problem, and the location offers easy access to the memorial Bridge and the great Tha Pai Hot Springs. However there are several dogs on the property. If you are a sound sleeper who is not disturbed easily then this is an ideal place. However, as I am a light sleeper I was woken every night by the barking of one dog and this was a very disappointing aspect of an otherwise comfortable stay.

          The borderline of PAI”
The property is at the border of PAI. You will never see any PAI's life here. But if you prefer a quiet life, this is the place. 5-10 mins drive ahead, you'll reached the PAI Canyon and Coffee In Love. You have to drive another 15 mins to reach PAI town. Well, the property is poorly-maintained, run down. So sad to see how actually good & cool it can be. Loved the environment. One thing, I'm wondering how the room is smelling so nice, been looking where the smells came from, really nice. Loved the villa ! No designated parking in front of the villa, you have to park your car at the lobby and walk to your villa, but don't worry, it's within walking distance.

Swimming pool was a great! With small shallow pool safe for young children. We had connecting rooms between us/children which allowed us a bit of extra space at night. Room was cleaned daily with fresh towels. Location was next to the memorial bridge so a bit far out of town but okay if you have transport.

          Fully Pleased!”
We stayed 3 nights at Bura Lumpai, and were so pleased with the rooms (two adjoining rooms), and the kind staff. It was especially quiet as our visit was during low season, which we enjoyed. Further, we had vehicle trouble coming from Chiang Mai to Pai and Bura Lumpai was flexible with our reservation - allowing us to add an extra night on the back end of our trip to make up for the night we missed. It was a pleasant stay, and we intend to stay here again in the future. :)

Variety of accomodation, country surroundings, breakfast above expectations
All in all a good experience, and if also bringing our own wheels next time we visit Pai we will stay here again. No doubt, the 9 km to city centre is an issue, and we went back and fourth 4 times during our 2 night stay.We had originally planned to eat dinner at the resort once but both evenings the restaurant was almost deserted...

Great resort with privacy and good cook”
View of paddy fields, private outdoor bathroom, connecting door to villa ensure private moments for couples with young children yet able to keep a tab on them
The view is lovely, the location is just beside the Memorial bridge so it's hard to miss it. There are some street stalls opposite selling inexpensive local snacks and gifts. The resort is actually filled with guests( I only know when I See them during breakfast) however, you never really feel like its crowded. The swimming pool is a plus for young children to take a dip and the loan of DVD and DVD players is every room is great! The best thing about this resort is the cook and her fantastic cookings. A dinner may cost more than in pai city but it's worth it. I will definitely come back again!

The location was close to many attraction, the resort was beautiful and nice relaxing ambient after a long day. Beautiful lake view. Toilet, being open air was full of bug and was wet because of the rain. We had to take our pajamas off to use the toilet. The bed was big but was hard, we took turns waking up at night because our back was soar. Asked the staff for extra pillows the next day, we got in late and didn't have any extra pillows for our soar back. Breakfast on the first morning was really good. Second morning hotel was much busier it was a buffet, not as good as the day before.

          Good for what it was”
This isn't a 5 star resort. I got a nice clean bungalow style room, comfortable, and at a good price. I was traveling with two elderly ladies (mom and friend), and they had paid a little less for the non-bungalow style room. Let's just say we were all very happy that they were able to upgrade to the bungalow style. The other room was TERRIBLE. Just a concrete shell, painted horrible colors, the decor was like some institutional psychiatric ward. I live inthailand and brought my mother and her friend to Pai and was so embarrassed when I saw their original room. Luckily they got the upgrade (for very little money) and we all ended up in bungalows on the little pond. Much nicer room. We were very happy. Again, we weren't expecting 5 star, but not a dump either, and not the huge disparity between my room and their original room. If I owned this place I would be embarrassed to even offer those rooms. Get the bungalows. They're good value for cash and the staff were super cool and friendly

During our stay at Bura Lumpai the staff truly helped us with everything. They offered us free rides in and back to Pai town and arranged a chauffeur to drive us to the lod cave and the canyon during the short stay we had in Pai. They made sure we got the best of the short time we had, by aways asking about our plans and offering us a ride there. We would recommend this hotel to anyone.

We had a car which is nice to go everywhere around and to Pai city center. Just near the memorial bridge which is a good place to visit to know about history of Thailand during WWII.

          horrible ”
it was the most ridiculous stay of my trip. went to the city during in the evening time, and was shock that there is no water supply during that time. and we called the hotel and check, they told us the water supply will be back 30min to 1hr. we called hotel at 9.30pm. and waiting to take a bath for our sweating body during the some climbing and walking during the night market. ( oh ya ) hotel is 8km away from the city. and the best part was.. we waited and waited for the supply of water so we can take a nice shower. but water didn't even came at 11pm. and i try to call up the hotel staff again & again from 11pm to 1.07am. nobody eventually wanted to pick up the phone. end up we have to drive 8km to the city 7-11 store to get some water to make some cleaning for the night. driving at 1am to the city and the road was so dark. hotel should call us back and tell there will be some water faluty won't be fix so soon. and i can plan my way to the city earlier to find a way. ( thank you, your staff screw up my stay in pai )

comfy beds, spacious rooms, good value
I booked this hotel because I wanted to get away from Chiang Mai, sit by the pool, take in the mountain views -- but the weather and a few hotel misses conspired against it. It was the rainy season, and while the swimming pool was still open, all the lounge furniture was tucked away. There was no restaurant, contrary to what is advertised -- there is a coffee shop, but they don't serve food (only a paltry breakfast menu in the morning). I had to go into town for meals, which was not part of the Plan. The hotel itself is across the road from Memorial Bridge, on a fairly flat part of land -- the mountain views fall short, there are no other eating places within walking distance. The resort does offer two/day shuttles into Pai town, and the driver was punctual and always cheery. The other staff were also friendly, very accommodating. I had a Pai Hip room on the 2nd floor. No complaints. It was perfect.

When I checked in the room, the wifi didn't work until next morning! I was totally isolated from the world! The size of room is ok but the bathroom is open to the sky to cause a lot of mosquito to fly in. You could imagine how embarrassing when you use the toilet or the shower!
