Incorrect pricing”
We booked for two adults and a 4 year old child and paid online. When we arrived at the venue, the staff member working at receiption informed us that Agoda pricing was incorrect and we had to pay an additional fee for our 4 year old. I would have been completely happy to pay the total price when booking, but was made to feel like we tried to sneak in an additional person at check in. Even though we booked for an appartment with a single and double bed, and showed the booking confirmation confirming the number of guests we booked for.

- Not keen on the bathroom/toilet as designed for disabled (perfect for this purpose). Floor was wet once we showered and each time we went to the toilet our feet got wet. - Lounge carpet had an overpowering perfume like it was covering up something more sinister. It also felt dirty under my bare feet, like it needed a good steam clean. - Bed sheets were clean but duvet had stains and edging had come away giving it a raggedy look.

I chose the Burgundy Rose Motel because it was close to where I wanted to go. The manager was friendly and efficient, however, the room she took me to, and opened the door of first, was occupied. When I got to the correct room there were no towels, face cloths, shower mats, tea towels or dish cloths. I had to go down to the office and request some. Then the TV wouldn't work, so I had to go back to the office again. The manager was able to come and spend a few minutes sorting it out. There was a young sporting group of people staying there who made some noise in the car park later in the evening and there was some traffic noise from the busy road the motel is on. All in all, it was quite comfortable stay, and if you want an average motel at an average price, this might do the trick.

The accommodation was good. Comfortable and clean - which is why I booked there a second time. I have no issue with the accommodation itself. The issue I have is with the response I got when I arrived for a second visit and was told that they were fully booked for the type of suite I had booked and the booking should never have been allowed. The person I spoke with was less apologetic to me and more concerned that the booking had been allowed via Agoda at all! I am sure I filled in contact details when I booked online and was surprised that the motel had not tried to contact me to explain the situation before I arrived. Nor had they tried to contact Agoda to find out what had gone wrong. Instead I contacted him later in the evening to let him know that other websites were also showing available units of the type I had booked, so the issue was not solely with Agoda. They could have (and should have) checked this out themselves - and contacted Agoda to sort it out BEFORE my arrival.
