The hotel is clean and located in a great place to explore Windermere.
From the moment we arrived the staff were brilliant.
The views from the terrace over Windermere are perfect, the lounges are so tastefully decorated and the spa terrific.
We chose one of their apartment rooms which was lovely and included everything.
The service quality of the hotel is very high and all the staffs were very kind and professional.

Our hotel is perfectly situated with views of Lake Windermere, just a short stroll from the bustling village centre of Bowness-on-Windermere and the boats that travel the length of Windermere, making it easy to visit Ambleside, Brockhole, Wray Castle and Lakeside without a car. The Lakes Hotel & Spa was previously called the Burnside Hotel & Spa. The hotel has some of the best on-site facilities in the area, half of the rooms with hot tubs on private balconies, an on-site spa with poolside seating and a bar, stylish restaurant and cocktail bar, bike hire, wakesurfing and paddleboading. Our concierge has many planned walks that you can take straight from the hotel gates. In the Lake District, The Lakes Hotel & Spa is 30 minutes’ drive from the M6. Shops, boutiques and restaurants in the centre of Bowness are a 2-minute walk away. Windermere train station is 10 minutes away and we can arrange for our Bentley to collect you from the station. With everything on our doorstep there’s no need for a car. This is our guests' favourite part of Bowness-on-Windermere, according to independent reviews. Couples in particular like the location – they rated it 9.5 for a two-person trip. We speak your language!

From the moment we arrived the staff were brilliant. We had an escort around the hotel. We chose one of their apartment rooms which was lovely and included everything. They even gave us some milk to start with. What else can I say everything was just superb. The views from the terrace over Windermere are perfect, the lounges are so tastefully decorated and the spa terrific. Will we be back? You bet!

No table for breakfast ”
You pay hotel & breakfast but not enough table to serve you breakfast. The staff mentioned depend what’s left if you come back later. Is depend how busy it is. You not going to expecting no breakfast to serve if no table or no booking a table in advance. No point booked a hotel and pay extra for breakfast, end up the waiter tell you no booking a table, can’t serve you. Come back to check what’s left!!!! I been so many 5star hotel never get kind of services. Very very disappointed!!!!

Beware parking costs”
Great hotel and lovely staff Shaun got us a table reservation at the Positano ,he is a lovely chap .Bar staff also friendly and reception check in went smoothly, only drawback was £12 parking charge because we didn't book direct with the hotel,so would advise booking direct with hotel.

Hotel for everyone”
Hotel currently being updated but it does not interfere with your stay. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Short walk to Bowness less than 10 minutes and facilities at hotel very good. Breakfast great options.

Beautiful Burnside !”
On arrival we found the reception staff to be efficient and professional although not over-friendly.We did ask about the entertainment that night but the receptionist couldn't tell us about the act because she had never seen it and didn't know anything about it. Our room was clean and spacious and had everything we needed including a great view of Lake Windemere and the beautifully manicured gardens below. Didn't eat in the hotel because it was perfectly located,only a 10 minute walk to the centre.Tried a few places to eat but our favourite was the Angel pub,a contemporary and stylish place with a great relaxed atmosphere.For breakfast we ate in the Alpine cafe where the full English was a delight!!! Although for cheap and cheerful you can't beat the carvery for £3.50 at the pub on the lake!!!No wonder it was packed....the meats were delicious.

部屋は少し狭いと感じたが、大きなバスタブがあり快適だった。このクラスのホテルなら、もう少し大きなテレビがあっても良いかなと思った。朝食バイキングの内容は充実していたが、接客が今ひとつだった。部屋番号を二度も聞かれたし、コーヒー・紅茶のオーダーも遅かった。この日だけだったかも知れませんが、ホールスタッフの人数が足りていない様でした。 全体的には一定以上の水準にあり、特に緑に囲まれた静かなロケーションはお勧めです。車を置いてボウネスの中心街に飲食に出掛けるにも、湖畔の散歩にも最適な場所にあります。利用しませんでしたが、プールがあるフィットネス施設も隣接した棟にありました。

Nice Location and comfotable room”
This hotel has free parking. Location is not bad. 5min walk to city centre. I didn't book lake view room but I could see lake from my room. The health club has a swimming pool and substantial gym equipment. Breakfast is also nice. It is a full English breakfast buffet. This hotel worth to pay a little more, than other hotels around there.
