The messy room with brown blanket colors. Richly Villa is not a villa. It's not even a hotel.It's not even a proper hostel. It looked new as shown by their photos but when I was there in December 2019, everything looked older and dirtier. Not worth for what you have paid for this old and dirty room.

Fantastic Stay at Richly Villa”
Having been to bangkok a few times and stayed at many hotels , this one stands out as a very unique experience. Its less a hotel rather more a guest house with 30 rooms. I was lucky enough to be one of the first to say here, as the it's only 2 months old ! The villa owner was so hospitable, i stayed 5 nights and without warning the staff would bring me thai snack or ice cold drink delivered to my room , compliments the owner, was a nice touch ! and definately won me over ! 5 stars for making me feel welcome ! The hotel is located 5 min walk to platiunuim plaza (womens/mes wholesale cloth market) and pantip (IT mall). The hotel is near many wholesale cargo forwarders, as pratunam is the hub for clothing distribtution in thailand and overeas to other countries such as africa, europe etc So for business travellers dealing in this type of activity the hotel is right in middle of the action. Also within about 2km , there are other bigger malls like , MBK and Siam Paragon, only short distance away. You can take a cab, but becareful they tend to over charge westerners. Instead i made 15 min stroll to BTS station and siam station is only 1 stop away, that is where all the malls are , so very close indeed ! If you want to get to sukhumvit area its about 2km from pratunam. Overall a very uniqure experience , quiet different to big hotel chains, great personalised service, nothing was too hard for them. As for value , the cost is about $1200 B -$1500 per night for bigger room and balcony, thats about $40 -50 US. (PS, i booked through Agoda, but if your lucky enough to be greeted by owner she will give better deal !) Also the rooms have a nice plasma , with 80 channels, (has australian network channel, plus many other countries TV, footy, soccer , sports etc.) So if you want to have great stay i would encourage you give Richly Villa a go ! I thoroughly enjoyed my stay !

Excellent Value for Money”
The hotel can be best described as a guesthouse, its located in the pratunam area of bangkok which is renowned for its shopping. The guesthouse, is brand new with several size rooms, we stayed in the superior room, but were upgraded to the deluxe room which had a small balcony. Overall, its what you would expect from small hotel, good service, staff very friendly and relaxed and helpful. The hotel does have internet but no wifi in the rooms, there are two PCs in the foyer of the hotel that were more than enough, these where free and staff allowed us to print out our flight tickets etc free of charge too. They do have tuk tuk service and if you asked nicely, they were willing to take us to the nearby mall free. We stayed 3 nights and overall we were very happy with the hotel , roooms and felt it was nice place to stay.

I like the neighborhood and patronized another hotel for 28 years. They just closed. Not too many options in the same price range (I paid about 850 baht for Richly including tax and service charge). So for the price, it was not bad. It had a decent-sized room, comfortable bed, small bathroom and a lift. Semi-continental breakfast (coffee or tea and toast and jelly) included.

dirty hotel”
tnis hotel is very dirty and smelly.. and the staff " one black guy" is very rude.. requested for late check in at 2am,reach there 2am but waited for an hours until 3.15am just to process my check in.. that rude staff didnt tell me the reason why the room is not ready at 3am. when room is ready i tried to get some rest,then suddenly there is another man opened my room's door with his own card. i went down to lobby and ask that black hotell staff why other poeple can open my room door,he just say he also doesnt know why. really spoiled my holiday mood..

Great room! With a great price! ”
We stayed here and absolutely loved it! Room was clean and we had wifi in our room for free! The food was great and the staff was really helpful! The owner is an amazing women, she went above and beyond to help was and even gave us a ride in her car to the grand palace! The only con would be that it is very hard to find, but after a couple days we could help the tuk tuk drivers find the hotel. The location is good too! A ten minute walk to the bts and mrt and about 20 minute walk to mkb mall! I would recommend the hotel.

Unusual, noisy”
We had a room overlooking the front street and there was noise most of the night, people on the hotel verandah talking and laughing, a broken night's sleep. The room was OK, comfortable, crowded with large furniture, a tiny bathroom with shower over the toilet. A kettle but no mugs in the room. Breakfast was good. No wifi in rooms, but available in reception. The halls and rooms were lined with fancy kitsch art, some of which, most unusually, was still covered in bubble wrap packaging. Very odd. There always seemed to be people sitting around the small reception area, maybe people staying long term. The hotel is not quite easy to find, up a side soi and then another, and taxi drivers may not know it. About 5-8 minute walk to BTS, 3 minute walk to main road with buses and taxis.

Great location but poor service”
Hotel location is very convinience, in walking distance to platinum fashion mall and pratunam market. During our stay there is a group of african tourist who had a party almost every night. The hotel rooms are not sound proof. It was very noisy. We booked 3 rooms, but when we arrived only one room was ready, the other rooms was still dirty and the sheets hasn't been changed. When we complained the staff said it will be changed tomorrow because the housekeeper has gone home. The hotel room was verry small, the bathroom also super small.

Big beds for Deluxe room”
- hotels is new and the furniture are all new - hotel staff are friendly - tuk tuk service is good, but it ends at 10pm - breakfast provided is simple, but you can always get breakfast from the stalls on the streets - location slightly far from the platinum fashion mall - staff at the hotel was nice to change a room for me as there is a construction going on during my stay from 13oct2012-16oct2012, and the noise is loud. i got another room facing away from the construction and it was good.

Comfortable place to stay”
This is a big city with a huge number of hotels to choose from. Whenever we are in BKK, we try to be in a good location that is accessible to public transport. Walking distance to restaurants and shops. This place was great for that. The room was comfortable and clean. Enjoyed our stay here.

Cheap but will not recommend / come back”
During the check in, the staff was inefficient. The shower head was broken when we got in the room, the water pipe and the shower head were laying on the floor, basically bathroom's condition was a nightmare. The bed is very hard and not comfortable. Bottles were left in the room and no one clear the rubbish. There was no hair dryer. We stayed for 3 nights, everyday they provide mineral water (must ask from the counter) and towels but towels looked dirty and yellowish, we didnt use. On the last night, there was dog pee outside our room. No breakfast was provided. Based on my previous 2 trips to bangkok our hotel with similar price we conclude this hotel is not acceptable, we will not come back to this hotel. However, during our check out, the staff was friendly and quite helpful he offered to call taxi, compared to the first night we were served by someone else. I think they should improve their staff's English proficiency.

A little disappointed, not very clean room, lots of dust under bed and on light fixture. A few cockroaches . Wifi not working in room or lobby. Staff were good, price was good, came with small balcony, solid wood furniture. If you're on a tight budget it's ok.

The place seems to be new, but lacks the service and touches that you want and expect when on holiday. Pictures on the wall were still in bubble-wrap and the matress had the plastic on it. The rooms were small, which was fine, but they clearly weren't cleaned on a regular basis. We had to request that our soiled sheets be changed upon check-in and had to request a new roll of tiolet paper twice during our week stay. The guy at the desk spoke zero English and nobody was available to answer any questions. It felt more like a hostel than a hotel... and it was definitely not "richly".

It's pretty basic, with old furniture. Bed sheets and towels are in pretty good shape. Good air con. It's pretty clean. Wifi doesn't really work well in the outermost corner room on the 5th floor, unfortunately... The older gentleman at the counter was very helpful and accommodating. Thank you for that!

Good for what you pay for”
The location was good. Not far from the main street but in a little network of back alleys, which made it somewhat confusing. I still recommend this place though. It is worth the low rate they are charging. And you can always get the taxi drivers to find the spot for you
