Busan Party Guest House
Good for Location and Value for money”
Strategically located near the station and restaurants/cafe. Has approachable and accommodating staff. Some room does not have power outlet near the bed, the restroom is far from the room and just have 2 toilet and 4 shower room divided by curtain. Laundry is not free. This is place is for those who just want to leave their things and will not stay for long in their room.
Value for money ”
It’s not fancy but staff are very helpful and kind. If you want somewhere cheap and central and are not that picky this is a good choice. Bathrooms could use upgrade (ventilation is a problem) but otherwise it’s very clean and cozy.
I pay a visit in Busan for two days and lived in the party guest house. 1.Can only check in after 16pm. This is very stange and inconvenient. 2.Check in at the cafe more. No staff is in the guest house. However, several guys drunk, laughed and talked loudly in the living room.To make things worst, a man kept knocking our door(wemen's room) at midnight. This is the worst trip i have ever gone. To sleep in the airport would be.much better｢(ﾟﾍﾟ)
Your home is the only place where you can get in at the time you want. The problem is that you did not check the description of the check-in time at the time of reservation. I'm sorry that you can't stay quiet alone because it's used by many people.
Worth for Money”
It’s a good place to stay when in Busan. Walking distance to Busan Tower. You’ll get discount for coffee time when check in :)
Clean place but WARNING there is a crazy long term guest”
This GH is very clean, neat, tidy, many bonus such as shampoo, hair dryer. One evening, one guest verbally attacked us in the kitchen. We don't understand so we asked help from owner (no staff is stationed in the GH). Owner said the crazy guy was drunk and apologise to us. When we got back again to cook, again he came and attacked a 70 year old guest. This time I took a video. Owner apologised and say won't happen again. Next week, again verbally attacking guest. Owner says he has stayed for 2 months and apologised. We are so afraid every time he stared at us, drink alcohol all day, watch TV all day. We cannot walk into the room because he will show an angry face even 9pm or 9am if he seems to be sleeping. Only space is kitchen. But he will show angry face if we are in the kitchen, because he wants to watch his TV show there. It is stressful all the time. This is a very dangerous person! He could attack us while we sleep. There is a welcome drink, but he drinks all of it, he wears only one same shirt blue and white, and washes and hangs his shirt and four socks to dry all over the small room. He will get angry if we open our luggage, zipper makes sound. We can conclude: apparently he don't have work, so that's why he watches TV all day, drinks alcohol all day. He is local Korean, Middle aged perhaps 35-45 years old. No job + heavy alcohol + no companion = dangerous mind WARNING: We feel intimidated, in danger all the time and unable to sleep well. The following week we came back to stay, hoping he has left - NO he still is living there. Owner says he pay each day, and don't know when he will leave. Since there is no in-house staff, there is a high possibility of crime with such a dubious character inside. I like this GH, it is very clean. But they have one rubbish they must discard.
It's sad not to know your problem. Since early in the morning, complaints have been filed from many customers except you about the noise of opening and closing several plastic bags and entering and leaving the room about 20 times. Still, I did my best to change rooms for free, though more expensive, and asked some guests to forgive me for complaining to you. Instead of blaming others for their wrongdoings, they need to reflect on the damage they have done to others.
It’s good value for money and close to convenience store
Near to Subway, Good Breakfast”
Very near to jungang station, take exit 1, right turn then after a corner make another right turn. In the corner of intersection you can see MORE CAFE where you need to check in first. Very near in the Yongdusan Park and Busan Tower, walking distance (quite near but possible) to Nampo station, BIFF Square, Lotte Mall, Jagalchi Market, Gukje Market. You can walk from Jungang to Nampo underground. nice breakfast. I lost my card for breakfast and they still give me. basic toiletries, small towel, sponge, and locker. Will come back here next time.
kinda of an experience ”
breakfast was at a cafe ( you need to walk to the cafe, 1 min walk from your hostel) and they serve simple but classic breakfast! staffs are nice. rooms are good and but might be noisy if your neighbours are talking too loud. near to shopping mall and easy to get transportation to nearby attraction.
Perfect stay for backpackers”
There are only 3 minor complaints to this place. One, the check-in information was only specified once you arrive at the hostel (you have to visit the nearby cafe to get the entry code to enter the place and get a short briefing from the cafe staff). Two, they have a washing machine but no dryer. Hence, I was unable to wash and dry my clothes for immediate use. Lastly, they have no iron so, I wear wrinkled clothes everyday. But I survived through and even enjoyed my stay. They provide delicious healthy breakfast that was Halal-friendly everyday. The staff was very providing and friendly. The rooms, toilets and common area were always clean. I would definitely come back here the next time I come Busan, no doubt about it! Location was good as well. Walking distance to Jagalchi market, Yongdusan park, BIFF square and Fashion street. Love love loooove the place.
Great value great experience (aside from no late check-in)”
Just inform them if you will be checkin in later than 10 PM. I arrived 11:30 PM and had to call them to reopen the cafe (Cafe More) for me to check in, the guy was really nice about it. The place was great and it had everything I needed. Close to subway and Nampodong area. The free breakfast was amazing, although I wish they could serve it earlier. Overall, it was a great experience, would definitely go back.
Definitely recomended! Very near to subway, convenience store, shopping area & attraction places. Plus breakfast was provided at the cafe. At first I didn't know where & who I need to meet for check in but luckily there's a guest of this guesthouse help me. You need to go to SUM Party cafe for check in. I'll definitely stay at this place again whenever I come to Busan.
Great value ”
Nice place to stay! Just a couple blocks from the subway, but the station is a little farther from some main tourist sites of the city. The beds are clean and confortable, the breakfast is nice and elaborate (made by the Cafe More, which is also the check in place). The bathrooms had some rust but were clean overall. They had a nice large map of the city on the wall, which was nice. Cheapest place I've found in South Korea and with the nice breakfast, it's a great value. The only thing is that it's not quiet. There's a karaoke bar across the street and the walls are thin. You can hear them even with ear plugs (provided) late into the night. I'm a light sleeper and was okay, but it's not for everyone.
Good although it’s not party hostel ”
Good stay although it’s not a party hostel. The shower room it’s a bit uncomfortable and the bed a a bit noisy
Will recommend to my friend~”
The location is very easy to reach (jungang station, exit 5) Even though the stairs to going up the guesthouse is quite smelly, but the cleanliness inside the guesthouse is 9/10. The staffs are very helpful, and the breakfast provided is very nice. At night, will be quite noisy outside, but ear plugs are provided.
it was an extended stay ”
place stayed was comfortable and i extended my stay with breakfast. make sure you are on time for breakfast!
The staffs are friendly, everything is good but a little noisy.
Good location but cleanliness yet to improve”
Very good location, walking distance to Nampo dong shopping area, Yongdusan Park, BIFF, Jagalchi. As mentioned by other reviewer, you need to check-in from Cafe More (Jungang station, exit 1. After exit, u-turn, walk a bit then turn in to the left and walk a bit, Cafe more is on your right). Check in time is 4pm thus you may leave your bag in Cafe More (at the back of shop, not very safe it seems as it is an open area, but I didn't lose anything). The guesthouse is a short walking distance from Cafe More. No one actually in the guesthouse (no reception) to help you on anything (if you have questions, ask the staff in the Cafe instead). Overall cleanliness is ok, but there are cigarettes smoke smell in the room (probably from outside as the windows are open), there are also period stain on the quilt bedsheet. The room has no key provided, but there are lockers in the room to lock your personal stuff. Overall, I would say this is a good place for a short stay (I only stay for a night).
Good location; cleanliness and toilet maintenance needs improvement ”
It is 1 minute to Metro, 5 minutes to some major shopping and dining areas. There is nothing to complain to the location. Staffs are friendly, too. Bed linen is smelly, it looks like it hasn't been washed for months; pillow case has sign of saliva from a few dozens of peoples already. Peoples are singing karaoke until 3 am every night just next block, 5 meters away. Drainage problem in every shower rooms prevent you from taking shower properly. Provided shampoo and shower gel are not for sensitive persons; they dry up your skin. It was not a pleasure to stay for long, but it may justify for the price you pay.
Some improvement for the hotel”
The staff is friendly and nice. the hotel is near to subway (less than 5 mins walk). the room is comfortable even though sometimes the environment becomes noisy, but that's fine with me. At night there's no noisy anymore. But I would suggest some improvement for the hotel. first, maybe in description they can put direction to go to their hotel. From the airport we need to take light trail to go to Sasang station. then take subway (metro station) to go to Jungang station (interchange at Samyeon station). At Jungang station, take Exit 1. Then turn right (you'll see a nursery shop in front of you) then turn right. walk straight (several steps) then turn left. you'll see More Cafe on your right side. You need to check-in there. it takes around 1 hour from Gimhae Airport station to Jungang station. Secondly, I think they should provide breakfast a bit earlier at 7.00am instead of at 9.00am. As a backpacker, we usually go out early so we can explore more places. It would be great if they can provide breakfast early. Thirdly, I hope they can provide soap to wash dishes and iron. They can just put one iron in the guest house (at mirror area), for those who wants to iron, they can go there. Overall, I think it's a good and strategic place to stay for backpackers. the hotel near to attraction places in Busan.
room is clean, nice breakfast location around 5 mins to the metro.
