I probably won't choose any other hotel”
Excellent value for money. Maybe the room was a little cramped but I was expecting it, so I wasn't disappointed. Checked photos of the rooms online before booking, so we were ready. (Bumped my elbows in the bathroom way too many times though. And I'm a short person with short limbs.) FREE BREAKFAST! Just some bread and hard boiled eggs and potato salad. With coffee or juice. It's simple but any type of free breakfast in a budget hotel scores high for me. 1 million stars for the location. 5 mins to Namba-Nankai station. Average of 10-min walk to places like DenDen Town, Amerikamura, Dotonbori, Kuromon Ichiba, Shinsaibashi and the underground Namba Walk which connects the major train stations. Staff were great from booking to check-out. When I booked through Agoda, I wanted to make sure my reservation was secure so I used the chat window in the official Hotel Nissei website. Wasn't really expecting anyone to be online but a staff person was, and she answered all my questions and confirmed my reservation. She also sent an email confirmation and map going to the hotel from the Namba-Nankai station. Pretty awesome hotel all-around. Will definitely be my first choice when I go back to Osaka.

Great Location”
Location of the hotel is very good, short walk from Nipponbashi or Namba station, it might be a bit confusing to find at first though. There are many shopping / restaurants near the hotel (for idol fans, NMB46 shop is just few steps away), with the kuromon ichiba (黑門市場/kuromon market) just 1-2 minutes walk away. The hotel is a bit old, so is the state of the room, but overall it is quite comfortable, although ladies might want to keep this in mind. Also free wifi is available in the room, if you're just normally surfing the web, the speed doesn't have any problem (didn't try youtube though). Every time you leave the hotel, you have to give the keys to the front desk, and ask them for the key when you return, this might be bothersome at first, but the staff are really friendly, so it really isn't that bothering. The hotel also serves some simple breakfast at the restaurant on ground floor, absolutely nothing fancy, just some ordinary bun, salad and boiled eggs, but its still quite nice, especially you want to leave room for the other delicacies in the neighborhood right? Overall, if you don't mind the hotel is a bit old, Nissei business hotel is a really good place to stay in Osaka, especially within this price range.

Not for everyone but perfect for me”
Hotel Nissei is a typical business hotel. As such the room was small and the bathroom tiny but the bed was comfortable and the staff both friendly and helpful. A simple but much appreciated breakfast was included in the price. The Namba area is a bit of a rabbit warren, so I'm glad I took a map with me which made finding the hotel easier. The location was great. Good shopping and heaps of restaurants to choose from. Most importantly it was a short walk to the station to catch the express train to Kansai airport. As an overnight stay before catching my international flight, it was perfect.

Excellent value hotel”
This is my third time staying at this hotel. The location is the key. It is just a few minutes walk from Kintetsu Namba station, that means you practically arrived via KIX and take the Kintetsu line train straight to Namba. Moreover, it is very good value. I stayed in a single room on the second floor. All amenities were provided except perhaps a microwave oven. The room size was Japanese standard i.e. a bit small. Furniture was old but functional. The room was clean. Perhaps, asking for a room on a high floor and non-smoking is necessary. There are many restaurants, shopping malls and convenient stores nearby. I will go back again.

I did stay at other hotels of similar category in this area before. So far this hotel is at the top of the list. The location is just superb. There are no troubles in getting to and from Kansai International Airport, going to other parts of Osaka, and traveling to Kyoto and Nara. The hotel staff is always at the desk and very willing to help. It is wonderful to come back to a nicely air-conditioned place. I said "nicely" because I felt comfortably cool. Not too cold. Anyway, I have no complaints about this hotel and the daily breakfast was an added surprise. I 'll stay at this hotel again.

It was my second time staying in this hotel and still impress like the first time. Hotel locate in almost middle of Namba which is very convenience for someone who want to enjoy the lively walk in the area. Although the hotel was a little bit old but it was clean, comfort and fully equipped. Great value!

Brilliant staff and great location”
The Hotel is very close to metro station and all touristic facilities. It will take you less than 10 minutes to get Dotonbori with huge amount ofbars, restorans and cafes. We would like to thank all the staff of the Hotel for their help and responsiveness. They made our stay in Osaka very pleased.

Good location, walking distance to nishinbashi station and nankai station (to kansai airport). You can leisurely walk from the hotel to donburi and shinsaibashi where got lots of eatery n shops. They provide free breakfast to guests as a service even your hotel booking does not include breakfast. Small room (common in Japan）but clean. Will come back again when visiting Osaka next time.

Location is perfect”
Hotel is a bit dated, with old furniture and linen, as well as the bathroom fixtures. "Continental breakfast" is nothing, as there are only 3 kinds of bread available, not even freshly baked. But complaints aside, this hotel's main draw is its terrific location. A stone's throw away from Shinsaibashi and the endless array of shops, restaurants and snacks, this place is the best place to serve as a jump off point for your Kansai area travels. Commuting via the Namba station is so convenient, as you have access to the Metro system, the JR railways, and the shinkansen.

Good nightlife hotel”
The best point about the hotel is the location. It is a ten minute walk to the Namba train and subway station, as well as the Nankai Namba Airport train station so getting to the Kansai international airport is not a problem. It is a five minute walk to a covered arcade which has shops and mainly restaurants. It is a ten minute walk to the Dotonbori night street with the large neon light signages including the famous Glico running man neon sign, as well as access to food and shopping.

Location is very near crowded Namba area. Shops, restaurants and train station are near. Dated hotel with small room. Most of staffs were courteous and helpful, except one I've asked assistance from. Free breakfast but very few selection, still value for money since it comes free with your stay. Could be better though.

Very helpful staff and good location”
Highly recommended to stay at this hotel. The location is great! Hotel side is quiet but once you turn in to Senichimae which is a 3 mins walk away, you will be overwhelmed by all the happenings, shops and restaurants. Very near to Namba Station, Anime Village and Kuromon market. Staff were very friendly and courteous. They serve daily breakfast too.

It's near Namba and shopping area, from Namba subway or Nankai, use Exit B21, room cleaned every day, daily simple and tasty breakfast during 06.30 - 09.30 am. Friendly and helpful staffs. Recommend this hotel.

Wifi in room, value for money, nice staff”
It locates closed to Namba subway station. If you are not well expert in this area, better to take taxi once you leave Namba subway station. The location is next to Den Den town, just 2 min walk. Also you can walk to Namba Walk and Shisaibashi in a short distance. There is wifi in room but the room is not so clean with smell cigarette. I noticed that this hotel is in favourite of Taiwan and Chinese tourist.

Mediocre at best”
I was allocated into a smoker’s room, requested for a move but was brushed off in a slightly rude way. Only given a spray after I asked if there is anything they could do. In the end I spent about 1000 yen buying stuff so I could actually breath ‘fresh air’. Other than that facilities are a bit outdated but fully functional, room space reasonable and all other staff except one are quite polite. Location is very strategic; close to train station and subway station, kuromon market is within sight, dotonbori is a few minutes walk north, den den town is a few minutes walk south and numerous of convenient shop, restaurants and shopping centres around the place. In saying that, its very quiet at night. If i was not given this smokers room, I am sure I would enjoy my stay in Osaka much much more.
