An amazing place”
busuanga seadive resort is a great place to go to relax and learn to scuba dive. the hotel has everything you need and is located in the center of coron city so you are near the few other places in town also. the scuba diving was great. classes are 4 or fewer people. i got my open-water licence and had one other classmate. after that the wreck dives were quite cheap at about for 3 dives, rentals, with a meal on the boat. on my wreck dive it was me and an instructor. the other 2 people on the wreck dive had their own instructor also.
Overall a Great and comfortable stay”
I just got back from Coron and I had a great time! Coron is awesome! but I just want to share my experience with Seadive Resort. *Sharing is caring* Long story short: It's definitely worth the price and I think double checking with reception is a lesson learned. I suggest you do it too. *Now my Story* March 21: I arrived in Coron. I checked in at almost 5pm and my room is not yet ready after going around to two rooms. I don't know why. It's a short walk. Good thing I only have a backpack. When Miss A of reception told me my room is ready (after 30 mins), she gave me the keys and as I entered my room I saw Pic #1. Of course, I went back to reception and asked her for a full bed. I paid for it of course I want it. Then, I asked for some tour flyers, booked myself a Calauit Safari Tour worth 2500 pesos at Seadive Resort (Miss A) via Happy Life Travel Agency. The packaged tour should bring me to two key destinations: Calauit Safari and Pass Island. March 23: I went on the tour covering Calauit Safari, Busuanga Municipality and some church. We started the tour at 9am and at 2.30pm, I'm already back at Seadive Resort. I thought to myself why did the tour finished so fast? Didn't bother asking the van driver/tour guide why, it's too hot and I am so tired. March 24: I went and asked reception, Miss A was away so I was speaking to Miss J of Seadive Resort. I asked her why is my Safari tour so brief, we did not go to Pass island. Miss J said I needed to talk Miss A because she is the one who booked it. She tried calling Miss A on her mobile but no response. Miss J called Happy Life travel agency and they confirmed I was not booked for a Safari Tour. J and I are confused as to which travel agency Miss A booked me. I asked J if she can check the call logs in seadive's mobile and trace the call she had at 7.30am (the agency called the resort to advice me that they will be late 😒). J found the number and confirmed with K Tours Travel Agency that I was indeed booked the
Best budget accommodation in Coron Town!”
once we arrived at coron we immediately noticed that this is the best place to stay in town, especially if you're a backpacker and a diver. the resort is quite clean, rooms are nice, offer a great view on the coron bay. the restaurant is quite good, even though the breakfast menu was a bit disappointing for divers: the location is amazing, it's just enough to step out of the restaurant and you're on the boat! the dive center is also very good, the only padi 5stars in coron. all in all, i definetely recommend seadive resort.
Great location ”
If you find the central place of Coron, seadive resort can be a great place. In my cases, I stayed at fan room. It was very hot. But generally I satisfy. Because staff is really really kind.
Good value for money”
The room with air con is ok,good value for money and I think the room is quite spacious comparing with others accommodation in Coron.the facility is old but still working. If you r budget planner I highly recommended u to stay in seadive. But do not have high expectation. The bedding is quite old. And facilities are old as well. Yet The staff is friendly. Free water and coffee and greAt view. If I go back to Coron,I will stay there again.
Good location with sea view”
Location of Seadive Resort is located at the center of Coron Town. What we like mostly about it is its proximity to the market. We were able to buy fish, shells and lobsters at the market and ask the hotel restaurant to cook it for us. It is very economical that way. =)
Will stay here again when I come back”
A considerable price for a fan room because it was very spacious. There are so many places w/in the resort (resto at the ground floor, balcony at 2nd floor, & the rooftop) where you can hang out, watch sunset, and upload your wonderful photos of Coron Islands because the WiFi has a strong signal anywhere, even in my room. I enjoyed my stay there.
Great location but room service is not so good”
we've just go back from coron, palawan. the island is so nice and great location for who love to dive & snorkel. and people here is friendly, busuanga seadive resort is busy one. many travelers here that's why here is very jolly. we stayed in 2nd storey at the corner. the bath room and toilet was not so clear. go to take a bath we found out that no water (hot & cold shower), i have to go down and ask for help then okay. the last day we had chance to move to other room (2nd floor too). it is larger then the first, but the shower has electrical shock, so lucky that we not yet get the water to body, breakfast was so late (20 mins. of waiting) anyway, this place is okay except electrical shock and rest room should be clearer and mosquito). anyway, we still have nice time here. have a nice trip.
room to boat in one step!”
As a brand new certified diver, the dive shop provided me with a personal dive master (although this might not be standard practice). Everyone was patient with my questions and accommodated me in every way. My room had two big fans, a window, and a double sink! The front desk called a trusted tricycle driver to take me to the hot springs since it was late at night and I was traveling alone. They helped plan my departure and ensured I calculated the cash for the terminal fees. They knew me by name and email correspondence was always prompt. The only thing I had to wait for was the free internet computer, which non-guests constantly showed up to use along with the free wifi and free tea/coffee/water. Why not just stay at SeaDive? I was totally happy here and would definitely go back.
Setting realistic perspectives first; good staff; good dive shop.”
SUMMARY: Seadive Resort is an old resort with an old style of an accommodation reminder the tenant of a Filipino backwater country theme house. The building is old and is predominantly made of hardwood. There is working AC and hot water in some units, but not all. This is the reality of this accommodation that everybody in consideration of this place must get a grasp with. All things said, I had a good time with this resort. PRICE: The price for what I had was good, IMHO. I paid less than P1100 per night for a deluxe unit with aircon for six days. I had my own bed on the third floor with a view of the side of the resort.
Beware of Snatcher”
My stay with Busuanga Seadive Resort last Jan. 2018 was really unforgettable due to one incident of snatching crossing the bridge going to the hotel. I trusted Coron and its people so much that I never imagined that this will happen to me on this sleepy town. I lost some pesos 10K to a snatcher who came from behind me while crossing the bridge. I reported the incident to the hotel frontdesk and ask if there is a CCTV on the area and sadly there was none. At any rate, let this be a caution to other guest who will visit Coron.
A true diver's joint”
This is not the luxury that you would look for if you are on a honey moon... but if you are a true diver who wants to hang with other divers and eat great food ... This is the place for you. Yes this place can use a little better maintenance, but for what I paid and considering the personal service that the staff provides, I could not ask for anything else. The restaurant offers free coffee all day long and it is by far the best place to eat in Coron. The dive trips are varied and you can pick from several sites scheduled daily. The owner Mr. Jim is an inspirational figure who has built a great business based on honesty great customer service but has given back tremendously to the Coron villagers. Meeting him was a pleasure. This is THE place to stay, eat , and dive in Coron.
Great Location and Friendly Service”
the staff of seadive resort are friendly and accomodating. the location is great because it's near the town market.they just need to improve their electric supply to prevent power interruptions.
this resort is located in the heart of coron town. very convenient. dive trips can be arranged directly with their dive operator or any dive operators with shops nearby. room is decent for the price we pay. restaurant offers delicious food, slightly expensive but good trade off for the cheap room rate.
Great location especially for divers”
we had a great 5 days at seadive. it is right on the bay and with it's own pier we were picked up every morning with only a 30 second walk from the breakfast table. food at the restaurant is really good. try the crab with coconut milk! masarap! standard fan room very basic but clean with all a traveller needs. can get hot if no breeze at night. we had a comfortable stay in the room.
nice location and friendly staff”
we really had a great stay at seadive.....we will surely go back to coron and stay again at seadive!
Good value for money”
when we arrived in coron town we were pleased to see that we had booked one of the few places by the water. the views from the restaurant are fanstastic, as long as you are happy to pay a little more for your meal (we found it a bit cheaper to eat elsewhere). we stayed in an air-con room and we were very happy with it although the shower needed a bit of repair. the room was a great size and was very comfortable. the service was lacking a little bit, both by room service and by the people in the restaurant and bar. generally we weren't too bothered by this because of what we payed to stay there and overally we really enjoyed our time at seadive. we would definately stay there again.
basic accomodation with an amazing view”
I think this place is one of the cheapest places to stay in Coron. The place is old but with one of the best views. Right on top of the water, fronting one of the islands. You can watch the most amazing sunsets here. The bedroom is huge with 2 double beds pushed together so it can fit 3 pax. But the bathroom is old and the toilet cover seat was broken. But there was hot water although it wasn't really necessary. The place also has a restaurant. We only ordered breakfast food so i don't know if their other offerings taste good but the brekky was okay. Price is the same for most restos in the area. I would recommend staying in a cheap place in Coron if you're going to be on tours on the whole duration of your stay. Don't waste money on pricey hotels
Great location, budget friendly, awesome staff!”
if you are on a budget and you want a great place to stay in Coron, I strongly recommend this property. The property is located at the heart of the town and very accessible to everything. I love waking up and greeted by the beautiful view of the sea. The staff and attendants are really friendly and approachable. The receptionist (forgot her name, sorry) is so kind enough to contact our tour operator who might forgot us for our day tour. They also serve good meals and free coffee (instant) and tea. I'll definitely stay at this property when I return to Coron.
Plenty of hot water, comfortable beds, quiet air conditioner, fan on a stand”
Excellent location, tours and dive trips right outside the door at the boat dock, blue or pink seadive souvenir towels 200 PHP, seadive polos only 250 PHP
