A hotel worth mentioning”

Good Ambience and service provided, excellent location

My parents and i book two rooms in Byeyer Hotel. We enjoyed our stay throughout the few days there in Hualien. The rooms are clean and spacious. The breakfast is the typical type of an oriental meal, more suited for asians. i will rate the hotel service 7.5 out of 10. The hotel is well located and is near to the central area/city and train station.. 5 mins taxi ride to the train station and 6-8 mins walk to the shopping area in the city. Will strongly recommend anyone who goes to hualien for a holiday.

Clean and simple with everything you need.”

Clean rooms, nice showers, great location.

the byeyer hotel was conveniently located within walking distance to all hualien attractions. the shopping market, and night markets were easy to get to, and should you wish to get to the beaches and coast you could take advantage of the hotel's bikes and be there in under 15 minutes. the hotel was very clean. the hotel staff although helpful, were not very proficient in english. they did however provide us with an excellent local map to help guide us around the area. the breakfast was served in the basement, which we found bizarre. felt a bit like eating in a bunker. the hotel arranged a taxi tour of the gorge for us, but there were issues getting an english speaking guide. this seems to be a common problem in hualien where the masses do not speak much english at all. the byeyer was simple, and fulfilled all of our needs.

Worth another visit”

Staff, Price, Rooms

Hotel is conveniently located in the city, which makes travelling to the hotel very fast from the Hualien Train Station. Walking would take 10 minutes, or 5 by cab. Hotel lobby was big and roomy, with helpful and attentive staff. Rooms were of a comfortable size, with a large bathroom. Room service is very prompt and staff are keen to help with any problems we had. Our requests were all handled within 5 minutes. Breakfast is international and the spread was very big. Would definitely come back to this hotel again if I travel to Hualien. Clean, convenient, and well worth the price.

The best hotel in Hualien ”

Love the room concept. Super good, friendly and helpful staffs. Nearby awesome food area.

Spent two nights there with my sister. Totally awesome and loving it. Will go back to the same hotel again when we go back to Hualein. Really the best hotel ever there, service is superb. We reach Hualien Train station and got some help from the tourist centre personnel to contact the hotel for transport and they arrive within 10mins. Although it is not huge fancy hotel but when you enter the hotel, you will feel the luxury kind of service that the staffs provides. It is about 35mins to 45mins ride to the main attraction areas like the Chishingtan beach and Taroko Gorge. There was awesome popular food around, the best dumpling noodle in Hualien is just located a few steps away too. Can't wait to go back again. Hope their service standard will maintain and not drop. Thank you for the awesome service! :)

Great Place to Stay in a Prime Location”

Large, clean rooms

This place was a great deal. The hotel was nice, the staff was helpful, and the breakfast was really good. The rooms had a nice set up as well with an extra place for sitting as well as a very large bathroom. The hotel is situated in the middle of the city with plenty of places to eat and shop at within walking distance. The hotel also offered some tours of Taroko Gorge and other places near Hualien, although they were a bit pricey.

Near the town centre”

Hotel is rather new and room is spacious

the byeyer hotel is located next to the town centre with a lot of restaurants and shops nearby. all the more famous restaurants are just within walking distance. the hotel room is spacious. the bathroom is also very big with both bathtub and showering area. hotel service is good. notably, the hotel provides free pick-up service to and from the railway station. my only adverse comment is that the variety of hotel breakfast is rather limited and remained basically the same everyday.

Nice hotel and great staff”

Large room, large bathroom, breakfast buffet and close proximity to shopping and food.

We booked the Superior King room which was nice and large. Hotel staff was very nice and attentive. They promptly changed the in room fridge when I notified them it was not working. You can call the hotel before your arrival to arrange a free hotel shuttle pick up from the Hualien train station. They even took us back to the train station when we departed. The buffet breakfast had a good selection of food with some Western options if you are not used to typical Taiwan breakfast. Hotel itself was conveniently located within a short 5-10 minute walk to the famous 24 hour Xiao Long Bao and dumpling restaurant and 20 minutes to the famous Mochi (since 1899) and Wonton restaurant (since 1940). The hotel also offers a guided tour of the nearby Taroko Gorge for $3000 NT, but we were able to pair up with another couple and split a cab for $1350NT each (includes paying for the driver’s lunch). We would highly recommend contacting our taxi driver if you are interested in seeing the Taroko Gorge.

Lovely Hotel. Great Location. Exceeded Expectation”

Beautiful & Clean Rooms, Walk to City & Foods, Great Service, Value for Money

in term of value, this is the best of all hotels we stayed over our month long travel in taiwan this time. though the room is not as spacious as other 5-stars properties we stayed in, it outshines in terms of pricing, comfort, cleanliness, locality and services. i highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting hualien. especially those on long trip, you may wish to know that there's a coin operated self-service launderette nearby where you can clean & dry up to 9kg load of clothes at just and within 75mins. we did just that, and had wonderful dinner at one of the many nearby restaurants while waiting for the laundry to be done.

transport from Hualien station, along main shopping street”

The hotel provided free transport from Hualien Station. But please note that there are 2 exits at Hualien station so you need to exit the front gate to get to where the Hualien Visitor Centre is. This is where the hotel transport will be waiting for you. The hotel gave us a free upgrade to a bigger room and it was pretty spacious and nice. Breakfast at the hotel was really good and had enough variety. It was convenient to walk down the street and have access to a lot of the famous foods in hualien such as Gongzheng Baozi and the Cong You Bing and also the night market (15min walk).

Superb Service”

Helpful mostly english speaking staff, clean and modern spacious rooms

great place to stay in hualien for expeditions out to taroko gorge. a little pricey at usd for a non-weekend rate, but well worth it if you appreciate the top-notch service, clean modern rooms, and free tea in the lobby. from the get-go of checking in i knew our stay was going to be enjoyable. staff was very nice and one of the associates spoke english. we were offered a guided tour to taroko gorge for nt a person. a very expensive service, but nice to know they offered it. instead our party of 4 opted to rent a car for nt and drive to the gorge ourselves. this turned out to be a great decision. we saved alot of cash and could explore at our own pace. only ~30 mins away, we saw plenty of the gorge in an afternoon. utilizing my trusty international driver's license we rented our car from pony leasing near the train station. aside from the gorge we spent time in the "golden triangle" shopping district less than a 10 min from the hotel. the hotel offered free bike rentals which we took advantage of and rode the bike paths down the river and along the coast. very pleasant indeed.

Rooms are clean and spacious.Hotel location is convenient , 5 mins drive from train station. walking distance for shopping centre, night market.

We were a group of friends, a total of 9 people, spending our 5 days in Hualien. We spot the Byeyer from Agoda and the price is reasonable. We choose by getting review from Agoda only and mention the convenience nearby. When we checked into the rooms, all of us were amazed of the spacious, cleaniness of the rooms. None of us got a complain and there is a convenience store just 1 or 2 minutes walk. Staff are friendly and their coffee are just perfect.

"Modern and Clean Hotel"”

Centrally located

What impressed me was that the hotel was modern and clean. It was centrally located so it was easy to get around. I liked the fact that the hotel provided bicycles in the front to use free of charge. Also most shops and sights were with in a good walking distance. I was able to walk from the hotel to the "Martyr's Shine" on the top of the hill for a good view of the city. I was also able to bike to most places within the city such as the "old railway walking area" and the "old Hualien Winery". The staff were friendly and helpful but again English was not their strong point. The breakfast was good to fair but could have included more fresh fruits and danish. All in all my family and I enjoyed our stay here!
