Gorgeous hotel and amenities ”
The Byron was everything I hoped out of a luxe stay. Though it was a bit far from the town of byron bay (we’d uber to town, as the bike rental was quite expensive), it was an oasis: gorgeous pool, peaceful setting, cool rainforest walk, and, with a bit of a walk, access to a beautiful quiet beach. The staff was extremely helpful, especially at reception and during afternoon or evening cocktail service by the pool or on the veranda. The rooms were beautiful and well appointed, with decent kitchen facilities and an extra large bathroom. One word of caution: the separation between bedroom and living area is made by sliding partitions, which wouldn’t block any sound if needed (such as if a family was staying in one suite).
Rooms well appointed and spacious Great facilities pool gym The only negative was that breakfast was not included in the room price Most hotels in this price range include buffet brekfast Buffet breakfast at $39-00 per person on to off a room stay is pretty steep
Very good, you get what you pay for”
A bit pricey compared to other options, but the facilities are very good. A short drive from the centre of BB, so be prepared for that. You can rent bicycles, which is perhaps a bit cheeky given the cost.
Nice hotel and excellent service”
Only one thing we not happy was when we got to the restaurant for our breakfast , waitress asked for our room number and we thought that would be charged to our room. When we finished and walked out, one of the waitress chasing us for a signature, we fell so embarrassing. Otherwise we were very happy with our stay and service.
We have already recommended this resort to our friends. Everything about our stay was fantastic. The greeting, the support to our room, the extra things we asked for and the staff at the restaurant were all just superb. We will return. Stuart
Would have stayed a week here!”
We're sorry we only had time to stay one night. After checking in, arriving at our room/suite, we realized we should have booked at least 3 or 4 nights here. The accommodations are excellent, comfortable, beautifully laid out, designed and full of amenities to help make your stay a home away from home. We did not have time to enjoy the spa or pool, but had time to hike through the many acres of rain forest, leading into one of the most beautiful serene beaches we've seen in Australia. We highly recommend a week's stay for anyone looking to escape, relax and enjoy a pampered stay on the Gold Coast of Australia...
As good as Elements but less money. You have everything you need.”
Huge bath, great use of space. Bed was great but linen a little too crisp and starched. Robes, slippers, good soaps, access to beach. Carpark is not near rooms. Great service. Washer/dryer in room.
100% Holiday Vibe. Instant relaxation. 5-star staff. Don’t wait
Enjoyed 5 lovely days after a recent bereavement. Left us calm and refreshed ”
Friendliness of EVERY staff member.
Fantastic resort! The suite was great, it had everything we needed! The sauna near the pool wasn’t working though
Could not fault anything”
Absolutely loved our stay here. It rained 4 days straight yet we still had an amazing time. Staff were so accommodating and friendly. Happy hour was great and so was the daily yoga. Late check out too. We'll definitely be back.
Absolutely amazing experience ”
What an amazing resort. Staying at the Byron was an amaxing experience. Unlike any other resort I've stayed at before. I loved the greenery, nature and forest walks. Beautifully warmed pool, delicious food and friendly staff. I will be back!
Beautiful people ”
I can't say enough wonderful things about the staff - Chrissie was especially excellent and so welcoming going out of her way to ensure she moved us to the correct suite. Analisa and Willie - plus other unknown staff - all came to my rescue when I had an unexpected Skype business meeting and the storms had decimated Byron's infrastructure - thank you all so much. Despite storms and showers we had a wonderful few days so relaxing. Some hints for others: 1. Book a deluxe suite and ask for Rivergum - no children allowed in that area, no footpath passing right close by, plus lovely rain forest views 2. Book upstairs so no elephants above ! 3. If you plan to cook, take a non-stick pan or two - their's left a bit to be desired Overall a lovely few days
The accommodations were excellent. The apartments were spacious and very comfortable. The units face each other which gave little privacy unless you closed the large shutter doors blocking ones view. The apartments were quite opened so noises such as people talking or carts passing easily came through. Once we shut our doors we had no problem. Dining at the restaurant was expensive and not to the standard I would have expected. The duck was slightly tough with little seasoning and the $34 pasta looked like a cup of pasta in tomato sauce with some black and green olives and bitter in taste. The staff were wonderful we were just sadly disappointed about the meals.
A beautiful sanctuary. Close to nature yet all the luxury for a 5-star retreat. Peace and quiet, good food, uplifting ambience, friendly helpful staff, gorgeous beach nearby. Inspiring place for the soul.
Great resort, however some of the staff were not very nice.”
We stayed here for our honeymoon. The facilities were great, the food was great and we mostly had a great time. During check in we both felt a little uncomfortable as we felt the staff were not very welcoming, this could have just been the amount of travel we had been through and maybe we weren't very responsive. When we went for dinner at the restaurant a few hours after check in we also felt uncomfortable. As we progressed our stay the staff became much more approachable and we began to feel like we could relax.
The hotel is exceptional. We only stayed for 1 night, but managed to cram in as much as we could. We even found time for a spa treatment, which was amazing! Would always stay at this hotel now when visiting Byron Bay
Everything about this resort was excellent. The staff, gorgeous surroundings and facilities were exceptional. Pool was great, free yoga classes a great addition, our standard room was gorgeous and had a lot of space and a lovely view.
AmaZing resort and staff but average food ”
It Would be great if the food offered in the restaurant reflected and matched this beautiful 5 star resort. We have stayed many times and the food unfortunately is average so we have to go out to eat which isn't ideal when you want to relax and not be amongst the hustle and bustle. But the resort itself and staff etc are faultless and we adore it here.
Absolutely brilliant sanctuary. ”
Everything was 5 star. My only criticism was that I didn't feel completely welcomed with small children. While the staff were friendly and helpful I did feel that they would prefer adults only. Having said that, we had an amazing time. The accommodation was spectacular. I wouldn't recommend it for families though. The kids didn't feel like they could be kids!
