Small bed for a couple, limited room facilities for price.”

Small sized double bed for a couple, not worth $156 a night with a room with shared shower facilities and no tv in the room. Our room was very close to the cafe with live music until 9pm which isn’t great when you rise early to watch sunrise. I wouldn’t stay here again for the price we paid and the facilities offered.

Pros: - Private rooms are clean and bigger than we expected. - Located opposite the beach. Less crowded than the main beach area. - Shuttle bus service - Great bar/restaurant called Treehouse next door. Cons - About a 15-20 min walk from town. Could be seen as a pro though....

    Good value for money”

A last minute decision to stop over in Byron led us to the Byron Beach Resort. Its focus is more for the younger backpacker type traveler but we got a good large room in a quite area that was fine for our stay. Its a little way out of the town centre but it only took a 15 minute walk along the beach to enjoy a nice meal at the Beach Hotel, and then stroll back towards the sunset on the beach. The Resort was fine for our stay and would recommend it to anyone looking for good value for money accommodation.

    A genuine gem”

Loved everything about this hotel. The location directly across from a long stretch of a beautiful beach. The affordable rates and options ranging from hostel style to a more traditional room. We had one of the few of the latter. It was small, especially the bathroom sink but had a spacious balcony that included a hammock. The treehouse restaurant was also great with excellent food, service and ambience. We also loved all the extra touches like free bikes and beach towels/umbrellas/sports gear, as well as decent cable and something special daily, like free pancakes on Tuesdays. Really wish we could've stayed here for more than two nights. But if we ever return to Byron Bay (I hope so!), this will absolutely be our choice of where to stay again.

We stayed here for 3 nights and the place itself is so sweet and very popular for travellers. The facilities are good - kitchen etc big and seating areas. Next to the cafe which has good food and drink which is where we went most nights.. but it's a good 20 min walk along the beach to the main town which is a shame. But nice to walk along at sunset!

Great space, will be back! Loved the hammock with the view of the sea, the location across the road from the beach and the very comfy bed. The shower was also fab after a swim or surf. Being beside the Treehouse and so close to Byron main streets but far enough away was brilliant.

Although located outside the town Center (which is easy to reach by walking abt 15 min on the beach), the location is really great as it's opposite a beautiful secluded Beach! There's a café/Restaurant right next to it so thats also really nice. Great kitchen for a hostel. BBQ could be more clean, but the bathrooms were totally fine! would recommend it if ure looking for a relaxed place to stay at the beach for an affordable price!

GREAT RELAXING BREAK HOME AWAY FROM HOME ”

    PRICE, LOCATION ,ATMOSPHERE

we are a couple in our 50s and wow this place was awesome just what we needed for a quick getaway, the backpackers were friendly and polite a little loud at night but quiet at 11pm curfew, we had a room with shared bathroom which were very clean and with hairdryers, they even had unisex toilets and showers, the bed was very comfortable,a huge kitchen with all your needs and lots of booths around and beautiful painted scenic walls to sit in, a piano setting room to relax in and have a play, huge tv sitting room, the BBQ in the garden area was lovely with hammocks hanging everywhere to relax in and watch the bush turkeys and water dragons fight for foods scraps, the treetop café on the premise is decorated with old furniture and has a real hippy atmosphere to it , the beers are really cheap here and the food is great valve, they have live music every night, the beach is across the road and very private, the town center is only a 15min walk or you can use the free shuttle bus till 9.30pm , the staff are friendly , would stay here again for sure

The staff were so friendly, the free bike hire was great and we were right across the road from the beach!

We stayed in a one bedroom with ensuite and balcony and it was great! The room was clean and had a stove, mini oven, microwave etc. The staff were very friendly and would go out of their way for everyone. This place is located just outside of town (about a 15 minute walk or $9 taxi ride) however they have free bike hire with lots of bikes available. They also have a courtesy bus which is great! It has a set timetable and the last bus to pick you up from town is at 9.30pm. You can also get surfing lessons from here or hire a surfboard for $10 for 2 hours(just to hire the board)! It is located just across from the beach which is awesome! The beach is also not too busy as it is just out of town. There is free parking with lots of spaces too. I will definitely be staying here next time I'm in Byron!

    Location, cleanliness, price

We had a great stay at Byron Beach resort, the staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms and communal areas were very clean. The location is really good, just across the road from the beach and next door to a lovely little bar/restaurant. It is a bit out of town but we found this a good thing as it was quiet and was only a 20 min walk on the beach to the town centre. There is also a shuttle into town which picked us up and dropped us off right in time for our greyhound connection. Would definitely stay here again.

    Would highly recommend”

    Homely, great value, comfortable

My stay at the resort was great. My partner and I stayed in a private double with shared bathroom. The bed was comfortable, it had a heater (great to dry clothes in winter), fan if it gets hot, sink in room, clothes line out front and great shared kitchen and super clean bathroom. The shuttle to and from town came in handy a number of times but a 15 minute walk from the city centre will get you to the resort if you miss it. The only downside was the distance between the toilet and room which if I'm being picky was a pain in the middle of the night but not really any other time. All linen was provided and soap as well.

Close to the centre of town but not too close; close to the beach; friendly and enthusiastic staff

comfortable, quiet and really attentive staff both at the resort and in the nearby restaurant which had beautifull food, extraordinary coffee, staff who held the balance between comraderie and attentiveness... it was just a relaxing stay where you could do a bit of work (if you wanted - and I had to), attend the conference in town and come back to a glass of wine...

Beach resort feel for backpacker prices”

Right on the beach, close to town yet secluded, friendly staff and good atmosphere.

Had a great 2 night stay at the Byron Beach Resort. I have never stayed at a backpackers that give you complementary towels and soap. There I really felt like I was on holiday at the beach. Just a short walk from the town center everything felt accessible but were far enough away from the busy part of the beach to find some piece and quiet on the beautiful beach right in front of the resort.

    beautiful location on the beach”

location was amazing, sunrise at the beach ,very friendly service ,great coffee from 6am

The room i had booked for 4 nights was easy access and parking bays very close. a fabulous room with natural light, everything in good working order and great bathroom with excellent shower. very happy,i would book this room again, number 53 I decided to stay another day and had to move to another room with a spa ,it was sold to me as an upgrade however i was very dissappointed as this room was dark, smelt ,the bathroom was old and patches on the wall looked tacky. the bath was uninviting and i could not open the windows because i was viewing the neighbours on the street., this room needs help and should be discounted, number 37 This resort has a high standard overall of fresh clean and happy staff. I really loved Stevies airstream liner coffee cruiser it was open from 6am with awesome food to go too. He also teaches surfing which looked very busy. the resort was abuzz with travellors from everywhere

Good setup, good for backpackers / groups of freinds

Went away with a group of girls for a weekend in Byron. Free transport into town cab be arranged by the receptionist - or cheap taxi into the main street. We stayed in a 1 bedroom (1 queen bed, 1 set of bunks) with a bathroom & that was all we needed, nice little balcony/deck outside. Surprisingly quiet for a backpackers.

    Right on the beach

Arrived early and they checked us in straight away, really nice big and clean room. The shared bathrooms were clean and tidy. The kitchen facilities were really good and kept very clean. We liked the lounge area with log fire especially in the cold evenings. They included free transfers in and out of town several times a day but it is a really nice 20 minute walk along the beach. They also picked us up from the bus stop when we arrived and dropped us there when we left. Very helpful and friendly staff. The beach is literally across the road. Really enjoyed our stay here and would come back again.

we are a couple in our 50s and wow this place was awesome just what we needed for a quick getaway, the backpackers were friendly and polite a little loud at night but quiet at 11pm curfew, we had a room with shared bathroom which were very clean and with hairdryers, they even had unisex toilets and showers, the bed was very comfortable,a huge kitchen with all your needs and lots of booths around and beautiful painted scenic walls to sit in, a piano setting room to relax in and have a play, huge tv sitting room, the BBQ in the garden area was lovely with hammocks hanging everywhere to relax in and watch the bush turkeys and water dragons fight for foods scraps, the treetop café on the premise is decorated with old furniture and has a real hippy atmosphere to it , the beers are really cheap here and the food is great valve, they have live music every night, the beach is across the road and very private, the town center is only a 15min walk or you can use the free shuttle bus till 9.30pm , the staff are friendly , would stay here again for sure

    Beach, sun and fun”

Proximity to the beach; the friendly staff; and the yoga sessions on the doorstep

The rooms were simple but you had everything you needed, it was clean and fresh and the staff were lovely. Location was perfect as it was out of the town but close enough to walk along the beach. Beach was the best in Byron

    Girls weekend away”

    Great value”

Low key but comfortable and affordable”

    Out of town but Great”

Good setup, good for backpackers / groups of freinds

Went away with a group of girls for a weekend in Byron. Free transport into town cab be arranged by the receptionist - or cheap taxi into the main street. We stayed in a 1 bedroom (1 queen bed, 1 set of bunks) with a bathroom & that was all we needed, nice little balcony/deck outside. Surprisingly quiet for a backpackers.

    Nice quiet location”

    Right on the beach

Arrived early and they checked us in straight away, really nice big and clean room. The shared bathrooms were clean and tidy. The kitchen facilities were really good and kept very clean. We liked the lounge area with log fire especially in the cold evenings. They included free transfers in and out of town several times a day but it is a really nice 20 minute walk along the beach. They also picked us up from the bus stop when we arrived and dropped us there when we left. Very helpful and friendly staff. The beach is literally across the road. Really enjoyed our stay here and would come back again.

    Cool hotel”

    facilities, room, staff

Byron Bay is a nice town where you can feel free and practice sports as Surf and other nice activities. The hotel is located in a nice area with no many peoplea and the staff is so nice. Also you have a small kitchen at your own bedroom.
