This will be my favorite place to stay from now on when I come to Dumaguete . Very accessible to everything and I love the most their roof deck, which will give you the best view of the whole Dumaguete.
Great Location/Value for Money”
One of the tallest building in Dumaguete where at the roof top you can see 360 view of the city. It is near the boulevard where the night life and many restaurants. The room is not that big but it is ok for me coz Im alone. from twin beds that I booked. they allow me to change to one big double bed. they accomodate my late check out with some minimal fee. The receptionists are just new. They still have to know many things. The guards (especially Arnel) have more knowledge than them especially when it comes wt the tours and the island. The staff are friendly. They easily grant my requests. I will go back to this hotel.
This hotel is very accessible to a lot of restaurants, Silliman University, Cathedral, Dumaguete Port, Rizal boulevard, Sans Rival and a lot more. The room is clean and big for 2 persons. Toiletries are provided but no towels though. I just noticed that the hotel needs repainting for some parts of it. The CR needs some renovation as it's a bit dated but nonetheless, it's clean. The breakfast buffet is not much to rave for but it's okay. The staff are nice and efficient.
Friendly staff, good location ”
I stayed 3 nights with this hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful. First, I was told a budget way to reach the hotel from Sibulan port upon my transfer request. Their transfer service is only for airpot and Dumeguete seaport. Secondly, I received the great information from the security guard. It's very nice of him to go into details about touring spots, transport, budget and even the shopping item I like to buy. Last, there is a restaurant on the roof where you can expect the sunrise or sunset while having dinner. The room is basic but clean and the location is good to the sea shore. Highly recommended ~
Very Nice Stay”
Our first trip to Dumaguete and a very pleasant stay at the Bay View. It was a great value for the money with a very large and comfortable room. Like most hotels that I have stayed in while in the Philippines, the air conditioner was positioned to blow onto the bed. But the only real "issue" I had was that its only restaurant was outside on the roof. Nice location, but sometimes rather uncomfortable for me, given the heat and humidity. Still, I would return.
Value for Money”
No complaints here just all praises for this hotel. It is very near to all places of interest in Dumaguete. Rooms are reasonably priced. Tthe rooms are clean. Had pprobllems initiially with the aircon but it was fixed immediately. The rooms are small built for Asians like me. Restaurant serves good food too.
My favorite hotel in Dumaguete”
Dumaguete is a wonderful city, located on one side at the sea with a wonderful view to the Island of Siquihor and Cebu, on the other side to the hills inside the island. With this hotel you can choose what view you like: the sea with the sunrise or the hills with the sunset. This time is had the sea view: what a colourful sunrise (at 5:30 am, i don't like to get up early, but it was worth). I recommend this hotel, it got my favorite place in Dumaguete. Why: - Great view, depending to what side you choose - Good and clean rooms with good equipment and working WiFi - Nice and helpful staff - Nice restaurant (breakfast included) on the top of the building with a wonderful panorama view and good meals - Good location with many shops, restaurants, malls and the cathedral in walking distance, with a 2 minutes’ walk to the Rizal Boulevard and the sea. Note: when you arrive by bus from the Ceres Liner bus station or come from the ferry terminal: the fee for a tricycle ride inside Dumaguete is 8 Pesos, with a bit bag maybe the double. They asked me 300 Pesos! I am a friendly person: I payed 20 Pesos.

Would stay again...”
Many choices in Dumaguete, and this is just one. We chose this due to the top of the roof café (very good), and the location to the boardwalk. Getting a trike to anywhere was not a problem. Room was sufficient. Bathroom small, but shower ok and luke warm shower was ok. Wi-Fi hit and miss. Staff was nice and breakfast ok. Walk to public market is about two blocks. Note: Fire station is across the street...in three nights, heard it twice, but earplugs would be advisable for sleeping.
Good place and worth the mobey i paid ”
It was good , waiting for elevator was a bit nervous breaking , the may need extra elevator.. Some stuff at bar wasn't very friendly.. And it was a dog barking outside my room some mornings ... But it worth the money I paid for
Excellent value for the money.”
The rooms at C & L Bay View Inn have wonderful views of both the water or the city/mountains. The staff are very nice and competent and the breakfast buffet is good. Great value for the money, highly recommended!
Nice hotel ”
Nice room. Great breakfast. The fire station across the road that blasts their sirens every night at 9:45pm and 10:00pm for no reason was extremely annoying. Buy some polish and clean your fire trucks instead of waking everybody in the hotel up.
Pros - near boulevard, church & belfry. Buffet breakfast Cons - bathroom tiles not as clean as expected. Does not make up room unless requested Tip: book flights with eta & etd between 8-5pm as they have free shuttle right from and to the airport
It has hot water which was a very good thing for me. The staff were very friendly and always very helpful. The only complaint I had was the delayed service at their restaurant when we had our dinner there, we waited for almost 2 hours for our food. The restaurant however was on top of the building so it was a great place to view the city and the ocean while dining, plus there was a live band. Overall, I was satisfied with the hotel.
Location is great. Hotel is near the church, market & boulevard. Staff are all friendly. Selection of food at breakfast is good. Housekeeping doesn’t make up the room unless asked so make sure to place up the sign to make up the room.
Great location, good price, nice rooftop views”
If you want to be near the Boulevard, be close to services and the center of the city AND have a decent room, this is the best choice in my opinion. The hotel staff are great but the restaurant staff are typical of most establishments. I stay every time I go to Dumaguete and I plan to stay in the future. I recommend it highly.
Hotel is ok , people are not pleasant in this city ”
Very unpleasant and unfriendly people in this city .. good I only stayed couple of days , hotel itself is good with mixture of friendly and unfriendly staff ... I have been traveling around Philippine for months and never disliked any city but Dumaguete... smile people !!! Cheer up we spent money here and not in your charity!!
Great rooftop resto-bar”
The tall building with the restaurant/bar on the roof was nice for both dinner (with live music on friday - sunday), as well as a robust breakfast the next morning (all the waffles you wanted!). rooms were small but clean and had good water pressure, hot water, balcony, etc. It's also just a minute walk to the ocean front, so great location. would definitely stay here again.
- its not very clean, we can see stains on bedsheets - need to wait for around 10 minutes to get hot water, makes a waste of water - the room is with plenty of space but probably because we are staying in suite (the best room in hotel) - facilities are old - the staff there is really nice - breakfast is just okay, we saw ants crawling in food - as the price is really high, we think its not worth at all. we were really upset when we see the room - i would recommend if i just need to pay half of it or if im not looking for a clean hotel. but myself, i wont come back if i have other choices
We stayed a few times at C&L in Dipolog ,so we thought it would be a good choice to choose for C&L in Dumaguete.WE booked for nights, but if we did nt do that we would get out after one night.Room was ok,not very clean but acceptable, bathroom was very dirty, even w e asked them to clean the bathroom better.Breakfast is very basic, maybe for a filipino ok,but for a foreigner very dissapointing.Internet is a mess,if u could connect is was very slow.NO never again.
