Simpre se habia comido muy bien en el Cisneros. Ahora con la excusa del Covid sirven un menu que no es que sea malo. Es que esta malo. Literal. Comida cocinada, congelada y recalentada a microondas.

Hotel Montserrat”
Solo he pasado una noche en el Hotel,pero lo mejor que puedo decir de el es la hubicacion que tiene,ya que esta en el centro de Montserrat, con una pequeña placita con bancos frente a la entrada principal en la que puedes sentarte y apreciar las increibles vistas de esta montaña... El domingo habia una fiesta en la plaza,bailaban zardanas y habia una cola increible para ver a la virgen. El hotel es muy tranquilo,en su majoria la gente que se aloja es mayor.. La atencion es correcta, pero comer pronto porque a partir de las 22 hs el restaurante esta cerrado y el bar tambien y no hay posibilidad de comprar nada por ahi,solo hay unas maquinas de vending con bebidas,snaks y chocolates. Es recomendable dormir una noche en el hotel y asi aprovechar bien el dia siguiente para hacer unas bonitas rutas a pie.

Just be prepared. There is no parking at the hotel, you drive through a security check and they let you up for 15 minutes to drop your bags, then you have to find a place down the hill about a 5 min walk back to the hotel. In the off season (late November for us), there aren't a lot of food options around the hotel, and the 2 grocery stores closed at 6:30pm so the only place to eat was at the hotel. They offered a fixed price menu for 27Euro each

Hotel was very old and room had smell.. didnt feel clean. The room has a great view though. Okay for one night.

Great location: great views, there is the Abbey, shops and restaurant next door. Very quiet before 11am. If you want to attend the services at the Abbey, so quiet in the morning without many tourists. Wi-Fi all area, amenities are given. Good breakfast is included.

Mere Footsteps from the Monastery!”
I enjoyed my stay here Hotel Abat Cisneros, the location is perfect (you can see the monastery from your window from some rooms), and I enjoyed the food in the restaurant. Perfect for an overnight stay before heading back to Barcelona, or even a multi-day retreat away from the city.

WOW! you should stay here!”
We had 2 rooms facing down the valley - spectacular view. Ate dinner at the restaurant (paella) and it was very good. Peaceful sleep here - you will be awoken around 7 with the bell tower but at 7 you should be out exploring anyways before the crowds arrive. Would most definitely stay here again.

Good location with awondeful view”
The location was right smack beside the church and monastery. Our room offered a wondefful virw of the surrounging area which was very peaceful from 6pm onwards when the crowd has gone off. Room was big and clean and the amendities were adequate. Value for money.

Perfect stay!!”
Perfect!! Loved it!! Two thumbs up!! This is my favourite stay in Europe! I bought the Trans Monserrat at the ticketing counter near the R5 train at Plaça Espanya station. The ticket includes 2xmetro tickets in Barcelona (but for some strange reason, I managed to use it for 6 trips), return train ticket to Plaça Espanya station, return Cremellera (Montserrat Rack railway) to Monistrol de Monserrat train station, a visit to the Audio-Visual Gallery and unlimited rides on the Santa Cova and Sant Joan Furniculars. The room was of typical 3-star hotel standard. The view of the cathedral and mountains was AWESOME!! The hotel's restaurant is the only one up there if you need dinner at night and you can be assured that the price will be up there as well (compared to Barcelona). I ordered the €21 set dinner and to be honest, I was quite sceptical at first. However, the food was amazing. Worth every penny!! Went for a trail to Mt Jeroni on my final day and it was a tiring but rewarding walk.

I am forever grateful that I was blessed to have the opportunity to spend 5days. A bit disappointed that I did not get the room requested but none-the-less, enjoyed listening to the bells every morning and being able to run across the square to attend service with the Monks and boys choir in the mornings. The breakfast at this hotel is plentiful however the only thing I must comment on is that some of the guest refill their containers from the hotel's jugs at the buffet. I find this very unsanitary especially when the rim of the guest containers comes in contact with the jugs. The hotel needs to find a way to control this. My compliments though to the staff at the front desk, those in housekeeping and the grounds keepers......GREAT JOB, VERY GOOD WORK ETHICS!!!! I WILL BE BACK!!!

I stayed there in early April, assuming it's still off season. not a lot of guest stayed in the hotel. It was peaceful and loved view of monastery from my room.
