Manager’s Day Ruining Glee”
The manager was inflexible and seemed to enjoy making certain guests inconvenienced. It seemed like if a person was in a bind, somehow disadvantaged, and needed to be shown a little humanity she would delight in throwing a wrench in the works of any hope and ruining the possibility of a smooth process or positive outcome. I would suggest ensuring you choose the right dates when booking. Making a change after the fact or having to make an additional booking if you decide to stay longer may lead to a multi-hour,money bleeding stress test that will probably end up costing you your deposit while getting kicked out within 10 mins of the checkout time in toe with a sad looking team of uncomfortable henchmen…It was a bit much.

The New management sucks. Place is full of unsavory people. Smells like a pound of skunks inside. The elevator has been broken for months. I requested late checkout when booking like I always have when staying here. Never been am issue until this time. I stayed for two days. I requested a late checkout at 1pm which is an hour past normal check out. One hour extra has never been an issue at this hotel or any hotel I've ever stayed at. On my checkout date, 12:10pm rolls around and there is an aggressive knock on my door and the front desk "lady" announces herself and demands that I leave the room immediately. I kindly explain that I have late check out and she tells me that late checkout isn't available. So I asked her why they are telling me this 10 min after checkout when they had, 40ish hours to do so. I went on to tell her that I would need at least, 30 minutes to finish packing. There was no response and she just walked off in the middle of our conversation. 10 minutes later at 12:21pm. She returns to my door WITH WESTCHASE POLICE at her herside. She demanded that I open the door an vacate the room. I told her that what she was doing was poor customer service and that I would need at least 20 minutes to get my things together. She again demanded that I opened the door to whicjni refused and told her kick rocks. The cop chimed in and said you have 10 minutes . I was outta ther in about 20 minutes. I had a word with the officer and explained the situation and told him he shouldn't make empty threats. I spoke with the front desk and requested a checkout receipt and was told that it wasn't ready yet. I confirmed that I would be getting my deposit back to which the GM responded I would. I voiced my concerns with her employee's conduct I'm out interaction and the front desk lady sat thereb

Facility is very old. Elevators don’t work. My room didn’t have towels or soap. My room had no furniture just a counter and bed on wooden floor. The room smelled like an old garbage. No ice available. Had to purchase the simple standard things most hotels have from a nearby target ie: hand soap, cups, ice. Even my one bedroom that was booked a month ahead was unavailable, i had to downgrade to a studio to ensure I had a place to stay this weekend.

Elevator broken and not trying to fix it. Seen vulturous tow trucks circling parking lot but only towed cars out in the public row. Coffee pot had left over coffee bags in coffee maker (obviously high standards of cleanliness undertaken). They won't tell you, until you check in, but it's not really like a hotel with daily cleaning, you have to take your own trash out bring your own linens down to exchange etc, definitely not a hotel. Under the cabinet Microwave was barely hanging on to cabinet and shaking, nearly falling off. Maybe has two out of the four or six screws attached. Otherwise was nice and quiet with lots of extra amenities. Many things were nearly good...but in the end the place lacks standards and is not worth the discounted prices offered unless you have no choice.

My room was dirty and don't look like it was cleaned. No blanket or towels in the room, when I called reception was told to go pick from front desk of which I was given a riped blanket. Drainage in the bathroom is not working and the room smells bad

It looks roughbfrom the outside but the rooms are spacious and very clean. Front desk is pretty good. Elevator was broken and the, 2md floor had a bit of an odor. The room was supposed to have ditched utensils but my room had knives only.

Room smell of cigarette, no duvet on bed, missing chair, broken toilet, shower does not walk, water pressure is no where and they staff looks friends but don't give a F@*k about anything other than smoking.

What happened here”
I have stayed at this property before when it was candlewood suites and things have drastically changed. No store, terrible washing machines, no pots and pans to cook with, no hand soap..to name a few. Yet still have to pay an incidental deposit without the incidentals!!! Wtf.

Don't Stay Here”
We would never stay at this particular property again. Our trip to Houston ended up getting extended for a while... Rather than extending our stay here at this location, my wife and I booked a room at a Sonesta Simply Suites in City Centre (about 2.8 miles down the freeway from this property) for the remainder of our stay here in Houston. The City Centre location that we moved to is a nearly identical building, except the City Centre location is MUCH CLEANER, much safer, has a much more pleasant and accommodating staff and lastly its physical location near i10 and Beltway 8 is more convenient for us and is a whole lot nicer neighborhood than this Sonesta Simply Suites Westchase location. We got our room at the City Centre location down the road for a comparable price as we paid for our room at this location.

Incident of staff barging in my room without knocking, proclaiming a search of my hall looking for someone smoking. Also, I only received one wash cloth and told I couldn't be provided another - another staff member told me that wasn't policy and provided me with two wash cloths.
