What a fantastic experience!”
This hotel stay has been one of the most positive that I have ever had. The location is one of the best you can ask for in Barcelona and the service is second to none. We were allocated an absolutely wonderful room overlooking the harbour. The room was spotless, and the interior beautiful. We also had the breakfast buffet which was delicious and fresh. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. When the friendly staff greet you at every opportunity, you feel at home. The worst thing about Hotel del Mar is having to check out of it. Thank you and well done!

Although I felt the hotel was a little on the pricey side, the location was great and the staff were really friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and tidy and the room was fairly large. My only criticism would be that there were no complimentary water or tea and coffee in the room which would have been a nice touch. At almost £200 for the one night I don’t think this is an unreasonable request. Otherwise very happy with the Stay.

Excellent experience at Del Mar Hotel”
My stay started very well as the very friendly staff let me check in early. Room size was good and I got a small balcony with a view of the port. I asked for an extra hour for a late check out and the staff kindly gave it to me. Great location as well.

The room itself is nothing special but the location is excellent. Walking distance to many tourist attractions and super convenient for public transportation. The staff was very nice and helpful. Its perfect for everyone who would like to explore the city.

We really enjoyed our stay. First time in Barcelona. Near metro, buses, tourists buses, can walk to all the cool locations around the Gothic quarter. Near the beach if you want that too. Nice. Staff were very helpful too.

We booked an “upgraded” room, run of the house with breakfast. Our room was tiny; not sure what a basic room is but it couldn’t be any smaller. Bathroom was nice. Breakfast was good, lots of variety and not just pastries...meat cheese, bacon, egg dish. Same every day though, no changes. Staff was unhelpful. We had two problems with our room. First there was no way to shut off the heat. One staff came up and said it was fixed. But even shut off there was still hot air pouring out. We ended up having to have the window open which made it incredibly noisy. The second problem, we asked for help and the man at reception said he would come up in ten minutes. He never showed. every time we came by he would avert his eyes and make like he was busy with something else...clearly far important than us! Also, I expect my room to be cleaned each day and it wasn’t. The first day it was done, after we had to ask. metro two min. away, bus outside the door. Lots of restaurants close by.

Wrong room no forks.”
They had the wrong room instead of apology they just said nothing we can do. Then later we asked for forks. They said we do not have any. Not happy about the whole thing.
