I typically book my room there (the Sugarland location) when I’m in Houston, so I’ve been frequently booking rooms there. I have three kids ages: 8, 3 and 1. My kids can make a bit of a mess, as normal kids do, when eating or playing but I always clean it up before we check out of our room like clockwork. With that being said, on our last reservation here, my kids got a little too wild with the pizza. Some stains were made on the bedding, but nothing some good old vinegar and bleach can’t fix. I checked out of my room about 2 days ago but decided to come back last night (5/3/2024) so I checked in around 10:30pm with no problems. Around 3:00 am I decided to book 5 more nights so that I may do some fun outings with my children. I was able to book the room with no problems via a third party. Around 11:10-ish am the next morning, one of the front desk attendants visited my room to inform me that I have been placed on the DNR list due to me smoking in my room on my last stay (about 2 days prior.) The accusation alone, is disrespectful. I signed a non-smoking policy and was fully aware that smoking is prohibited. Not only have I NEVER smoked in any of the rooms reserved to me during my stay, the manager who reported the false incident, had no evidence or REASON to state to staff that I was smoking in my room with my three children. Originally when I asked a front desk team leader, who made the accusation and why, she stated that “room service” could smell smoke. Which is impossible. Later, after much heated conversations, the same front desk team leader stated that it was indeed the manager who smelled “smoke” After almost an hour of explaining over and over on how they can check the cameras that I wasn’t smoking in my room obviously, but actually leaving out of the building to go smoke in my car; I accepted the unjustified decision. The manager at this establishment falsely claimed that I did such things, so I inquired about going higher up the food chain or just simply try to appeal the DNR list placement. I wasn’t given any resources to do so and staff was quite defensive about me wanting to do a full complaint. On top of all of this, the team leader was arguing with me about a vape that I SMOKE OUTSIDE. Making a very irrelevant conversation very much relevant, whilst avoiding the true problem at hand: my family getting evicted for no reason after paying for almost a week! My treatment was unkind and unjust. I’m an Extended Stay member, so to be treated like this without any reasoning or conversation is appalling! The front desk clerks were very argumentative and dead set on their decision. I will be going further down the corporate road, to ensure that my complaint reaches the appropriate higher ups!

I stayed at extended stay for two nights with my 2-year-old son and my seven-year-old daughter the first night when I went to go pay for my room the next morning the lady told me that I was not able to pay at the desk anymore even though it had not been checked out time and he told me that she had no more rooms available so I could not pay for my room when I went online to see if I could book it there were four rooms available she was trying to get me to check out some somebody she knew to check in. The next day I went to the test to pay for my room at 10:30 a.m. the manager told me as long as I paid for my room before check out time I would be able to keep it when I went to pay for my room at 10:30 this morning the lady at the front desk told me that she could not re-rent me my room and that I had to go because someone had booked it already online I asked her how could someone book a room that I'm still in she said we're overbooked I said but still it's a whole bunch of hotels in here how could my hotel be singled out I've only been here two days and it's not even time for me to check out yet I still have the right to pay for my room technically the room is still mine you can't book someone's room if they're still in it. He told me her manager said that I had to go and and that I could not rent it at the front desk because they were overbooked I said how is that legal I have babies I don't have nowhere to go right now and they told me there's nothing they can do about it that's what the manager said they didn't have any control over it when I asked him if I could speak to the manager the manager hadn't even come in today so this is what I want to know why am I being discriminated against and put out of my room with my babies on the street because the manager said so yesterday when my room wasn't even up until this day why was my room discussed to keep me out. When I asked all the workers your first and last names there was the lady at the front desk that was working I asked her friend name she said Jocelyn I asked her may I have your last name she told me she didn't have one. Not only are y'all racist but now you're unprofessional and rude and disrespectful I have the right to have your name you're at work you're an employee you're not supposed to refuse the name I need the names of the people I dealt with that unlawfully put me out of my room with my babies do not go to this hotel they are unprofessional racist and ghetto they have roaches a lot of damaged furniture and appliances also find somewhere better trash service.
