Buen hotel, con zonas comunes justas y un poco lej”

Hemos utilizado el hotel com base para salir de viaje desde Shanghai. Resulya muy comodo porque posee un parking, grande, comodo en donde poder dejar en coche y la salida del mismo es muy comoda. La habitacion esta muy bien y el servicio se esfuerza por hacerte una estancia agradable. El desayuno esta incluido, es un poco escaso y muy poco internacional!!! Resulta un poco problema para dar indicaciones a los taxistas, muchos de ellos no saben donde esta la calle.

Hotel agradable y servicio cordial”

El hotel tiene poco tiempo, situado en una zona tranquila pero centrico y todo es muy limpio y ordenado, el desayuno es sencillo pero completo.

Buen hotel pero alejado de las zonas buenas”

La estancia ha sido muy agradable. El único inconveniente es que esta un poco alejado de la zona mas interesante de la cuidad y ademas a los taxistas les cuesta encontrar la dirección.

A very good hotel for the price”

This is a good deal for Shanghai. The location is a bit strange and thats why its probably cheaper than others but it's not far from Jing An district and its a nice hotel. You have to be careful in China presenting your agoda confirmation as they often try to cheat you. They pushed me to tell them how much I paid but I didn't tell them anything.

A lost hotel in search of its soul”

Went there because it was presented as good value for money and had a Holiday Inn label. It is very ordinary and unknown to most taxi. No close by transport systems. The experience was not the best, with food, staff, communication and travel difficulties plus the premises should be made more attractive. I could not watch a single TV channel as only chinese was available. A lot is required to bring it to a reasonable standard. Good only for a short transit stay.

The facilities and location was good in general. Suggestion only ; 1. Breakfast food should not be repeated over and over again. 2. For an international hotel, there should be at least one who can speak fluent English 3. Somebody has to inform guests that Google, Yahoo, Gmail, Facebook, Tweeter, Instagram, Waze, Google Translate, Messenger, etc are not working in China. They should at least recommend equivalent like Baidu.com which one good hotel personnel told me. You help clients a lot

As some have noted the building itself is old and the fixtures and furniture faded however the staff were exceptionally courteous and helpful, especially with a specific matter that required their attention, and also with the day to day. I truly appreciated the "laundry corner" as a place to clean my own clothes (and dry them with an actual dryer!), often not possible. The maid service was excellent—very thorough, even thoughtful cleanings. Water pressure in my room was not good but the water was hot and the shower condiments replenished often. The most unpleasant part of this stay was the noise coming from the adjacent room, one of the old-style connected rooms. Partially the occupants of the room were loud at strange hours and partially the walls connecting the rooms were unnecessarily thin. Relatedly, oftentimes cigarette smoke wafted into the room, which was extremely unpleasant but not uncommon. The location is nice because it is near the river in Putuo, but possibly inconvenient.

It is definately not a friendly hotel. I booked superior twin with bathtub and bath rope which was shown online. When get the room, it's a combined-large-bed(two single beds) with a tiny quilt which is not able to cover 2 gentlemen. Though I totally understand it is after midnight and I disturbed his cigarette break, it was a bit hard for me to accept this kind of attitude and tone. Room I booked was superior, but NO SHOWER GEL WAS PROVIDED and the shower nozzle holder was NOT FUNCTIONAL. I had to shower with only 1 hand since I need to hold it all the time. The breakfast should be served till 10:30 am and we were at the restaurant around 9:50 am. The staffs shouted to us:" we are closing and be faster". I asked them to allow us 3-5 min to collect our food, however, nothing can stop them cleaning the table and finishing their duty. My friend and I had to find something to eat outside due to we only get 2 bun and 2 eggs, but there was nothing around the hotel. I will never chose to stay at this hotel again.

typically Holiday Inn ”

Typically Holiday Inn Express except the breakfast was a not nearly as good as the Santiago or Dongzhimen hotels. Everything worked, was clean, comfortable, walking distance to subway and if you like walking You can walk to the main shopping street and People's Square.

Nice, Neat and comfortable”

The service, generally, is good. Although you can feel that people are trained to be polite, still is better than local hotel's. Room is not spaceious but is not narrow. One thing impressed me is the pillow. There are two kinds of pillows, soft and hard to fit my usage. They offered Chinese breakfast is quite good for me, since a lot of "western hotel" usually offer mainly western food.

4 Days in Shanghai”

Overall this was a nice place to stay. I would recommend it. But, one night there was no kitchen service because they were catering a wedding. Bring your own food in the night time I guess.

Deteriorating Service”

The internet was very very slow. Complimentary breakfast was unpalatable. Mostly Chinese food varieties and virtually no continental selections. Bathroom smelled moldy. Old beds and furnitures. Very little basic amenities in the bathroom. Very unhelpful staff. Will not stay again.

Holiday Inn Express”

This hotel was in a quiet location, but that wasn't enough to make up for the overall poor experience at this Holiday Inn Express. The rooms smell of water damage and mold, and a large majority of the staff seemed incapable of performing basic "hotel" tasks. You could maybe attribute that to language, but I've spent enough time in China to know that the problem ran much deeper in this case.

The entire hotel smells like moisture/water. There was water damage or mold in both rooms I stayed in. Most frustrating of all, the staff is consistently incompetent and lazy. There were maybe 1 or 2 members of the staff who could function.

nice an peaceful hotel withbgod room rate (aprox 330 rmb ), close to subway line n 11 has standard rooms all the same, not toonbig but wuth the confortable holiday inn standard. the problem is that not many taxi are coming due the not traffic road which is placed. near the cgannel, you can do joging because no much cars

Simple, but good value!!!!”

Very simple Hotel, good location. There are Costa Cafe and carrefour nearby. It is by teh Suzhou river, with a small walkway sidealong. Really quiet surroundings, no working noise. No Cars... Do not expect any room service or something. Here is nothing. But for this money!! hey, it is a good value! Rooms are good and very clean, also enough space for our 4 luggage. High speed internet available. The bed is sooooo comfortable!!! The hotel made a favour to us, and took care for our luggage, because we went for a 2 Day trip. All around a really confortable stay! But for longer stay itis not good, because the rooms have NO Fridge! But provide coffe making facility and also a kettle. Also have complimentary breakfast.

Average overall”

Location is far off the city but there is a subway and taxis to go to other locations. Not much food choice in and around the hotel. Will not consider again because there are other options around the area for the same deal.
