Lovely view and close to Barcelona ”
Lovely view from the pool. Only 10/15 minute drive from the airport and took us about 40 minutes to get into Barcelona on the train which was ideal for us as we only wanted to go in to Barcelona a couple of times, we mainly wanted to relax and hotel el castell was perfect for that. It's in sant boi which is a nice town with plenty of bars and places to eat. We didn't have breakfast included so we just went to sant boi to the bakeries everyday but we did have dinner in the hotel on the last night which was good. Reviews said to have a quiet room due to weddings on Saturday's but there wasnt one while we were there so i can't comment on that. Staff were friendly and helpful. Pool had plenty of loungers and enough options for both being out in the sun or in the shade. I would definitely recommend and i would go back. The price was brilliant considering how close to Barcelona it was and it was exactly what we wanted

Decent overnight stop with a few minor quibbles. Arrived off a late plane and reception and room were fine. Reception told us bar was open but no one appeared. After ten minutes checked to be told food stopped in 5 minutes. Did not seem to be as well coordinated as you would expect. Bill included breakfast which we did not take although this was adjusted on pointing out we had not breakfasted. Pool and garden looked attractive.

Close to the airport and Great for early morning check in ( we arrived at 2am). Room was very small but pool and breakfast are great and restaurant is delicious and good value for money. Town is a short walk as is bus to Barcelona and airport. For a Short stay close to the airport it’s great.

Good and bad points”
I stayed at this hotel for one night . My room was not refurbished but was clean, bedding and towels very clean,. The bath had the shower over it and there was much black mould around the tiles and the shower screen. In the bedroom, there were mouldy areas below the television. The room had an odour of mould. There was no evening restaurant availability and no alternative offered such as something cold to be eaten in the room. The hotel was hosting a wedding anniversary party. The noise started early with many guests running up and down the corridor outside the bedroom and there was little sound insulation. The music did not go in too late but guests were allowed to shout and scream at the front of the hotel, under occupied bedrooms until after 5 am. Far from a restful stay after a very long drive. Breakfast is €10 euros and Good except there were no hot drinks available. A waiter had to be asked to prepare every hot drink. There was no standard milk for cereal.

Watch out for wedding season”
Cute small rooms - we were just passing through for one night. After a long journey, we didn’t sleep a wink due to very loud music and wedding celebrations outside. Nice pool. Not much to eat at the hotel but the little town is cute. Overall, it’s a great deal for your money!

This is a good hotel to stay at and the location isn’t too bad if you like city views. The pool was closed on one day which was a pain as the children were trowing tantrums. The menu isn’t ideal for vegetarians which is a shame. We hired our own car and the centre was about a 20 minute drive. A good hotel overall.

Old hotel”
Very old hotel everything in it was super old, definitely needs to be refreshed! For the price definitely not worth it, we booked it because we thought super close to airport but actually would've made more sense to go straight to Barcelona! Not at all a convenient location! However Carlos at reception was amazing super helpful n so nice! Wouldn't recommend this establishment to be honest!

Where do I start?”
Booked 2 rooms for 4 adults and 4 children to be provided with bed spaces for only 6 people. Air conditioning in one of the rooms was not working and neither did it work in the replacement room provided. Room not cleared properly from previous guests with a shirt and vest left in wardrobe. The gentleman on reception was very unhelpful and skeptical of all the problems we were encountering and this proved the most annoying and disappointing aspect of our stay. When the lack of bed space was queried a "solution" of changing to rooms with 3 single beds was suggested. Not a solution as it provided only 6 beds! The air conditioning was treated with an attitude that it worked fine the previous day, followed by we had the wrong setting (he could not correct himself) but ultimately there was a problem in the hotel when others were also seen complaining! No acknowledgement of the problem or apologies from the staff! Cannot recommend on the basis the staff need a serious attitude adjustment!

Tired and outdated”
PROS: Within 2km of airport as the crow flies. Bear in mind though, the commure will take approx 20 mins due to traffic. It is within walking distance to a suburb with many cafes and a supermarket. It has air conditioning and an outdoor pool. The breakfast buffet is plentiful and varied. CONS: Wifi ony works in the lobby. The bathrooms and bedroom decor are rather tired and outdated. The swimming pool was not clear and had debris floating in it. Staff are rather indifferent regarding customer service. The price was very high in comparison to other hotels we stayed in throughout Spain.

Outdated needs renovation and poor service ”
Outdated hotel that is under construction. Nothing like the pictures show. Very understaffed. Couldn’t get a cup of coffee or a beer or even water without asking several people and waiting multiple times. It was like we were invisible. They were focused on setting up for a wedding and nothing else mattered. Room was cramped. We had a spare cot in our room (which we didn’t request) that blocked the door and window to the outside as well as blocked the entrance to the bathroom. Very run down. Things falling off the walls. Holes in the furniture. Brunch that they advertise was poor with no service. Not worth your money by any means.

Merece la pena”
Pasamos una noche porque íbamos a visitar el Camp Nou a la vuelta de un viaje. Está a unos 15 minutos en coche y en Barcelona por el mismo precio o más sólo había pensiones o albergues. Fácil aparcamiento y gratuito en la misma puerta. El hotel es amplio y moderno con piscina y terraza precioso. Contrasta con la habitación que nos tocó que era viejuna pero ya ponía un cartel en el ascensor que las están reformando y pedían disculpas por los inconvenientes que pudiera ocasionar esto. En nuestro caso en nuestra habitación olía algo a pintura y la limpieza no era 100% en el baño pero para una noche lo dejamos pasar. El buffet merece la pena, completo y muy bien presentado.

El hombre que nos atendió en recepción no debería estar de cara al público puesto que no sabe dar un buen trato al cliente. Los patios del hotel son bonitos pero las habitaciones están muy dejadas, nevera y calefactor del lavabo sin funcionar. Al menos la cama era cómoda…

El hotel está bastante bien, pero en mi opinión las habitaciones están un poco mal cuidadas. Nuestra habitación tenía unas vistas preciosas, pero la ventana no cerraba (que no ha sido un problema ya que no hacía frío). Para mi esta bien localizado, a las afueras pero por lo que vimos tiene una línea de metro cerca. El bueno es que no hay problema para aparcar como pasaría si estuviéramos más dentro de la ciudad. Ya tenemos apuntado. Teniendo que volver a Barcelona, seguramente tendremos en cuenta esta opción.
