Outstanding hotel”
The views are what sell this hotel. Our room had a fantastic balcony looking out over the city of Sorrento. The service is impeccable along with the dining.
The hotel provides an excellent breakfast every morning to start one's day.
However, taking a taxi into city center will cost approximately 20 euros each way. Ask the concierge about the local bus times; it comes every 20 minutes outside of the hotel for 1.50 per person. The only difficulty is learning which bus to take back. Once one gets it figured out, it is very easy.

Amazing Views, Great Staff, Superb Breakfast”
Views from the hotel were phenomenal, over the sea, Sorrento Grand Marina and the Volcano.
Location was fine for us as it's a 25 min walk from the port and 20 minutes to the Grand Marina. Some paths are steep and narrow, plus crossing a busy road may be more difficult for others.
Staff were friendly and helpful.
The breakfast was excellent with some cooked choices, salami, cheeses and decent bread. The choice of Italian cakes and pastries was excellent though.
Didn't try the pool as we were there in April, but this is also a nice option to have.
The only reason why I gave four stars instead of five is that they tried to charge us for breakfast in check-out when it was already included.
Would definitely come back, but would check the bill thoroughly.

Lovely hotel with excellent staff. An absolute pleasure to stay here & a only a brief walk down that hill to the town centre. Great value for money.

Had economy room but was clean and comfortable , good food , the only thing we were not happy with was the price of garage parking , think we leave the car next time.

Amazing views. Superb for relaxing and unwinding”
Lovely, large room with spacious balcony overlooking the Bay of Naples. Pool terrace. Attentive, helpful staff.
Our stay at Hotel Minerva was so relaxing. The balcony overlooking the ocean was large and comfy with sunlounges for relaxing. The view was amazing. The shutters and windows cut out the noise from the street and A/C worked well.Free WiFi. The only downside was the bed - a bit hard for our liking. There was a bus at the door but not very frequent. A hotel shuttle service would have been good (other hotels offer this) but the walk down to Sorrento was easy and relaxing, about 15 minutes to the restaurants and shopping street. The breakfast offering was the same each day but a wide variety so we could always choose something different. The evening meal was pretty mediocre so it was worth the walk down to Sorrento. Easy access to buses to Amalfi and good day out via train to Pompeii. We loved all the different areas in the hotel where you could sit and relax. Cosy couches inside, sun deck, serviced terrace, pool deck outside. Staff were cheerful, helpful, fluent in English. Totally relaxing.

Excellent service from staff”
Good customer service, comfortable room, clean hotel
The staff are impressive, helpful and very happy. Hotel is very clean and well looked after. Rooms are a good size, some with sea views. There is a large pool on the roof top. Only negative is the distance from the hotel to the city centre. It's approx 15min walk down a hill but walking back can become a bit much. There is a bus that runs every 20mins or a taxi which costs between 11-14 euros
The hotel is suited to and caters more for the mature couples/families
