Hotel de negocis”
És una mica impersonal, els habitacions són grans y molt netes. Té una piscina ideal per relaxar-se, el preus de les begudes al bar són cars. El personal és molt amable, l'esmorzar és correcte
Everything was excellent except the Coffee”
Great room, great facilities, great staff. Just stay away from the coffee that is served with breakfast, it's terrible. Fortunately there is a Starbucks, Coffee Bean, Brown's, and several other coffee shops nearby.
If you like to live close to a construction site...”
If you like to live close to a construction site... then just book this hotel. Permanent noise starting early in the morning until late. And it is really loud!! Even when using ear plugs! The swimming pool is nice, but a bit small. It is covered by a kind of roofbeams with a lot of shadow. Some might like the shadow... Breakfast is just ok, if you are a bit late then you have to eat leftovers... Not recommended.
Good hotel to spend some nights”
Friendly staff. Breakfast was ok but should be more convenient for non asian customers. Clean hotel, but in future some renovation should be done in the rooms. Atmosphere in rooftopbar should be improved.
Great Location, Helpful Staff”
Great location, with tuk tuks outside waiting for guests to hire them. Staff helped us to check on prices with them. There's a really good eatery just next next door, called Mok Mony, owner able to speak English and Mandarin, worth a try. Many cafes and donut shops just around the corner too. Only thing is the lift was a little slow (too many floors) with only 1 lift, and there're stairs to walk up to hotel entrance. I wouldn't bring my mum here cos she has knees prob, can't take stairs. Breakfast was ok and room was pretty big for the price I paid. Rooftop bar looks sad and the pillars at the rooftop obstructed the view. Pool looks exactly like the pics, except that the pillars really don't fit.
A mix of good and bad”
Let's start with the good points:- - room is quiet - staff are very good Now the bad points:- - elevator: to get to the room can take over 10mins...there is only 1 elevator servicing all 13 floors, each floor has maybe 10 rooms. I was on the 8th floor and almost every time I ended up hiking up the stairs. Really not what you want to be doing. - room lighting: the only way to turn the bedroom main lighting on was to stagger in the darkness over to the bed where the main control unit was located. - main power: 2 of the wall sockets were faulty and did not work. Neutral points:- - Breakfast: obviously down to individual taste. I managed to get them to make me an omelette which was tasty but everything else really didn't look/taste good.
Value for money , clean and safe”
No regrets stay in Phnom Penh Katari Hotel. Safety and clean. Almost all the staff speaks good English. Mr Piseth , always appear to extend help when needed although he is the concierger. All personnel perform well which includes the kitchen staff. Andy L.
- Was upgraded to the Jr Suite. We did not have chance to enjoy it, though, because we arrived late and have to check-out early the next morning. - Location was good, walking distance to lots of coffee shops and restaurants - Place ia a bit old but properly maintained. - Good and friendly staffs
Friendly place for short stay”
Checkin was easy as booking was made via Agoda. The receptionist and concierge personnel can understand English . Less than 10 mins to Riverside and less than 5 minutes to Aeon mall and Naga World. There are few standby tuk-tuk just opposite the hotel . Hotel condition is ok . Security is good .
Great for business traveller/ not for those seeking pool”
Let’s start with saying, the staff at this place are amazing. Helpful, polite and so attentive. The breakfast looked good if you are going for the Asian selection. Lacking a little on the Western side. But for the price of the hotel, it’s to be expected. Although I wouldn’t stay here again, it’s not that it’s a bad hotel, but just would try something new in PP. East to get Tuktuk outside of place and loads of coffee/restaurants around is also a bonus.
Centrally located. Breakfast spread can be improved, every time we have to ask staff to top up food items. Not every staff was knowledgeable about the city sightseeing. Reception staff were very helpful. Room and other facilities were clean. Overall stay was good.
This stay was NOT so good. due to Parking issue. everytime i park the car at parking space. But this time they did not allow to park eventhough there was space. They said that park outside . Reception guy staff and parking security guy was so terrible at that night .
A little pricy, be careful”
It was a decent stay once we got everything taken care of. We ordered a suite which it said came with a kitchenette and balcony, but when we got there, they gave us a room without a balcony and a small refrigerator in a cabinet, no table, no sink, or anything that would be in a kitchenette. We talked to the staff and they said that we were in one of three suites, but the other two were full and they would switch us the next day (I still don't know why they considered it a suite. The new room had a kitchenette and balcony (if you would call a half meter walkway a balcony w/no chairs like in the picture). The internet was terrible and there were ants in the room. It also smelled like smoke even though it was a no smoking room. Some of the rooms are condos so the smell may have come from them? Once we took care of the room situation, the staff was very courteous to us, but it seems like they were trying to pull a fast one on us and I am not sure if they would have changed our room if we h
Nice place, staff, room and neighborhood”
Hope building across street dome soon!
Definitely a gem”
Great location. Great staff. Clean rooms. Great price. I cant ask for much more. I love it here!
Still a great hotel”
I bring my students here every year. We love this hotel and the staff make it incredible!
Patience is important”
There is only 1 tiny elevator servicing the entire building. It’s a very slow elevator too. Expect to wait 2-3 mins for elevator
Excellent Stay !!!”
Same stay as before .
Seen better days”
The hotel is fine. It’s clean, and in a good part of the city, it’s just getting very dated on the inside. Maybe very high end for 1988, but it could use an update. I was upgraded to a Jr Suite, which was nice, but the furniture in there was unusable. So uncomfortable. Also, the water never got warmer than “cool,” which is generally fine in such a hot city, but sometimes you want a hot shower.
Asian style business hotel”
The Katari hotel was a good choice for us for a 3 night stay in Phnom Penh. It‘s located in BKK1 which is a pretty hip district with lots of coffee shops and little shops, pretty close to many of the sights. We stayed in a corner room (Junior Suite I believe) on the 8th floor and the room was extremely large, had a nice view of the city and the bed was comfortable. The room however smelled ever so faintly of smoke, despite being a non smokers room. The gym at the hotel is small but located on the 13th floor with a nice view over the city. The pool set up is nice with some sun beds and also a nice view from the 12th floor. Good restaurants nearby, so we didn‘t eat at the hotel. Breakfast was fine, with hot and cold, Asian and Western options. Only negative at breakfast was the fact that two TVs were running simulatiously on different channels which made it hard to have a conversation.
