Rude night receptionist”
I arrived at about 2am after a 10 hour flight. The man at reception was incredibly hostile and argumentative towards me. I had made a mistake with my booking and wanted to change this. The man at reception was incredibly aggressive and tried to send me away at 2am telling me to comeback at 2pm to get into my prepaid room. Luckily i was able to sleep on the floor of a travelling companion for an extra fee. He was shouting at all of us in reception, according to the taxi driver it was because he had been woken up. His card machine was not working, but he insisted that it was our cards and that we should travel 2.5 km to the nearest atm. At this point it was nearly 3am. We were all very scared at the idea of having no where to go in a foreign country in the very early hours of the morning. I still had to pay for a room that I did not stay in because quite honestly I just wanted to get out of there ASAP. Don’t advertise 24hour check in if people have to experience what I did.
My room got upgraded to sea view (due to availability) which was great!! The staffs are also very cooperative.. even during early check-in.
Beautiful setting overlooking the sea. ”
Landscaping beautiful and natural, very nice rooms. The staff helpful, personable and kind.
Swimming 🏊♂️ not clean and unavailable ”
Food not very good no intent to improve Location is very remote Not worth all the trouble
Definately highly recommend this place!”
Stonewater Eco resort is a quiet, beautify place with really nice staff. You live in small but nice and tidy cottages - over standard for indian cleanlyness. The nature surrondings are absolutely breathtaking and this is really a plce for relaxing. The food was good and the staff amazing! I would definately come back to this place and highly recommend it to everyone.
Best resort to stay peacefully”
Every thing good except the food..nominal price for food however the taste and quality has to improve as food is the selling point of any stay
Stunning Location. Near Airport. ”
Excellent Resort close to Goa Airport ”
Huge property with lots of trees and beautiful landscape. It has direct view & access to sea. Our entire stay was memorable. Myself and my wife - we both enjoyed very much our stay at this beautiful resort. All the staff were polite & helpful. Easy to reach nearby locations like Panaji, Old Goa etc. Property itself covered long landscape area to walk around with lots of green trees and birds all over. A small pathway from hotel takes you to sea shore where waves hits red rocks & creates soothing sound of music which releases your entire stress. This beautiful beach resort has two swimming pools. Beautifully landscaped with cozy sea view wooden cottages, it is the perfect place to spend time at leisure. Rooms have a very good view of the sea, and you can also walk down to the rocky beach. The rooms offered a picture-perfect view of the sunrise. The nature was amazing, monkeys playing morning and evening, wonderful bird sounds..... This resort is a short drive from the airport, 5 min from Bogmalo beach and 15 mins from Vasco city, this place is an ideal place to start your journey into South Goa. We like our beautiful sea View wooden cottage, it is the perfect place to spend time at leisure. Rooms have a very good view of the sea, and you can also walk down to the rocky beach. The rooms offered a picture-perfect view of the sunrise. We had a great stay in this beautiful resort !!!
no travel desk. pick up to and fro cab amount high.
Nature's bounty, Hill station n Sea combo, Indescribable beauty!!!”
Words fall short when I think about describing the beauty of this place. Located in one of the least visited tourist areas in Goa (Bogmalo Village), 10 minutes drive from the airport, this place can definitely be compared with some hidden treasure. Away from the madding crowd, this resort is a combo of hill station and sea view at the same time. Since we visited mid-september while it was still raining, it added to the greenery of the place, thus making it even more beautiful. The winding walkways, the wooden cottages, sea view chalets, all make up for a perfect romantic holiday. Most of the cottages face the sea which adds to the charm, however, the beach is rocky and so cannot be used to take a dip. To compensate this, you can take a dip in sea facing pool and enjoy your drinks simultaneously. The owner, Nisha is very pleasant and will be ready to help you out in planning your itinerary during your stay. The F&B manager, Vanya,is extremely helpful. She is ready to go an extra mile while giving you suggestions over where to go for good food and music. They have a decent breakfast buffet spread but nothing to rave about. If you are looking for a place with quick room service, wifi connectivity etc, then this place is not for you. Since the reception is located far away from the cottages, it is difficult to communicate as intercom line is not there and you have to rely on your phone which again has no signals most of the time. Wi-fi is there in the reception and restaurant area but not in the rooms. Mobile data also doesn't work here. However Vanya informed me that they are working upon the phone connection issue and should be sorted soon. You should undoubtedly stay at this place if you are exhausted from your mundane routine and are looking forward to a complete romantic holiday.
Awesome and Serene Place”
Peaceful and best place for family, couples and even friends.
Stone water stay”
Hi, First I like to say Stone water ECO resort gave a comfort stay, but the room which we booked is premium sea view which we didn't get. because all the rooms are getting renovation. As a complement they provided complement dinner everynight and I tried reaching to Agoda to share this info, pathetic callcenter service of agoda not able to reach at all. overall enjoyed the stay and would suggest this resort to others
Held to ransom”
We checked in at 1am and were told that our booking was only for one occupancy although I had booked a double room. When we wanted to leave the next morning we were told that we had to pay double the rate we had paid online. Our taxi was held until we paid the extra money so we were stuck in stone water. The one shining light is that there is a very welcoming and friendly woman offing tips and advice of the surrounding area. In my opinion if the resort was run by her this would prove a much better place to stay.
Lot of work needs be done ”
The place is kinda of remote a lot can be done to make this place better. For now I would rate this place good for a few hours of stay or might be a drive down to have a lunch or at most a days stay never more than that
Nice & Quiet ”
Nice and quiet hotel, except for the dog fights at night. One thing they could upgrade is a telefone system in the rooms. The cabins could use some tlc. The gardens are beautifull and the pools are nice and cold. The location is a bit remote, but the property itself makes up for that. Restaurant hours are a bit annoying, but ok.
Best located eco hotel near Goa airport.”
Our entire stay was a real rejuvenated & memorable. My wife, 2 year old son and myself enjoyed a lot. Staff were polite & helpful. Easy to reach nearby locations like Panaji, Old Goa etc. Property itself covered long landscape area to walk around with lots of green trees and birds all over. A small pathway from hotel takes you to sea shore where waves hits red rocks & creates soothing sound of music which releases your entire stress. However there are few things were unacceptable from my point of view. Property has two pools but both are very deep for young toddlers, my son who just loves pool water could not use it due to its depth & unavailability of any lifeguard. No intercom services available in the name of eco hotel & only way to contact is through mobile call, international travellers must take a note of it. Food, laundry & miniral water prices are on higher side from any 3 star category hotel, very limited staffs recruited for services. My recommendations while touring please have your meal outside restaurants and buy lots of water from outside shops, cost of 1 ltr bottle is around Rs 50 as compare to outside Rs 20 even a small chapati cost you Rs 25. If you're lavish traveller then nothing to worry :-)
Got a good cottage with a pool view.Sea was visible from faraway. While entering, there were ants on the floor – dead & moving – Big black ones. Bath tub was dirty.I picked up the phone, which wasn’t there. Yes, there is no intercom at all, but a signage on wall for nos. of reception, restaurant & House Keeping, whom I called at-least over 20 times during my stay. I called Keeping & the lady was humble & cleaned the room. Ordered at 12:50 for food & drinks – 6 Butter rotis, Dal Tadka, 1 Tea & four beers. Beers came after third call & half an hour, Food after 8th call & one & a half hours. Salty Dal was unbearable. No Atta Roti here. A rude reply of the person on the other end of call for tea,“Thik hai, Thik hai, Bhej ra hu (Ok OK sending)” made me call owner of the resort. Tea arrived, only after calling her, at 04:05 pm, finally. You are provided with half litre water per head for 24 hours in name of compliment. Then you have to purchase Rs. 50 per 1 ltr.bottle or go drink from sea. No Market/ATM for approx. 3 kms. No rented Car/Scooty service nearby. Reception called a Cab for 800 for 18 kms to Colva & Goa has Rs. 52 per litre petrol. In Bangalore, 40 kms.cost 850 rupees @ 63 Rs. Per litre Petrol. Returned in a rented car & immediately left resort for Bogmallo beach which was our best place for the entire day. Less crowded beach with beautiful views all around & wonderful sea-breeze. Food, drinks & water were much cheaper than the resort. Returned to sleep only. Stay in resort for beauty, bring lots of money, food, drinks & water or go to beach after checking in. Rent a car or scooty beforehand. PS:Review written in one of cottages of the resort. Posting late, as I was requested to hold on to it that day. Then got busy.
