Hidden gem”
Broome is a wonderful place to visit, it has a real sense of history and romance with the pearl industry based there. Cable beach is the place to stay as it sits on the edge of cable beach 22 kms of white sands and warm sea. The resort buildings are based on the old day pearl villas which have a touch of Japanese influence and are spacious cool and well appointed. The grounds are large and beautifully landscaped. There is lovely wildlife and fauna beautifully kept and waterliilies to die for. The restaurants are all nice and reasonably priced for resort style eating. Staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms cleaned really well each day. The pool is adults only ( there is a children friendly option as well ) heaps of Loungers and day beds and cocktails and tapa style menu by the pool. Highly recommmend the tuna salad. We had a really wonderful 7 days were sad to go home and would definitely go again. Just the right mix of rest and things to do,
Dear Sharon, thank you for taking the time to write such a fantastic a review of the Resort. We are delighted you enjoyed your stay with us and so glad you think so highly of Broome as a destination. We look forward to welcoming you back next time you visit. Warm Regards, Stuart Kentish. General Manager,
The best place to stay in Broome”
Cable Beach Club seems expensive but for families with children it has everything - fabulous staff, hotel rooms or self catering bungalows, safe shaded swimming, more adventurous activities as the children get older, easy access to Cable Beach and all that Broome has to offer (via the tour desk or the Town Bus across the road, which is an adventure in itself) and wonderful restaurants, gardens and space that invite you to slip in to Broome Time - twice a year is not often enough for our family!
Best resort”
We went for a relaxing few days and couldn't have asked for better. Beautiful resort in Chinese design and beautiful Chinese gardens throughout complete with replicas of the terracotta warriors and horses from Xian. Also reminded me of Shanghai complete with the piped music.Very nice day spa, had relaxing massage., well equipped gym. The restaurants were amazing - although we weren't that impressed with the way they cooked the fish we caught. Went on a fishing tour which was fantastic and hired a mini-moke which was such fun and great to be able to check out town, the jetty and sunset viewing, also a trip to the golf course for a round. Cable beach is beautiful and pristine. Forget Bali or Phuket - cable beach is the place for relaxation - although a bit expensive, you get what you pay for and don't have to put up with Aussie yobos as they can't afford to stay there (they can have Bali). Staff were really helpful and great service.
Nice hotel, great location.”
We enjoyed our stay at Cable Beach hotel. We were able to check in early which was greatly appreciated, as we had caught an early flight into Broome. The rooms were very clean and spacious. The resort was spread out, with beautiful gardens and friendly staff. Free onsite secure parking is available which is great because you really need to hire a car to get around Broome. There were 2 pools to choose from, we preferred the family pool as it was more relaxed. The only three small disappointing things about our stay were the fact I asked room service for one extra pillow as I am 8.5 months pregnant, and needed it to help me get comfortable at night, and my request was ignored. Secondly, the bed was the MOST uncomfortable we have ever slept in. And thirdly, none of the restaurants or pool-side bar would make a mocktail. For a beachy resort type place, you'd expect the staff to be qualified enough to make a non-alcoholic cocktail. All that was offered was a fruit juice, called a Jungle Juice. We found a great bar across the road from Cable Beach called the Zoo Bar which made the best mocktail and cocktails - we went back there 2 nights in a row. Beside those 3 things, our stay was wonderful.
Great Family Holiday”
Cable Beach Resort was a perfect get away for me, my wife and three young children. Plenty of activities for the kids and nothing was too hard for the staff. Broome overall was a fantastic experience, it's like Asia without any of the hassles. We'll be back!
The place to stay in Broome”
This is a fantastic place to stay to escape the Perth winter. We stayed in a garden view studio which for 2 adults and a small child, with a rollaway bed, was perfect. Servicing or the room was a bit haphazard e.g. we often didn't get replacement towels etc for all 3 of us and had to ask for the extra for our son most days! The accommodation has unique Broome styling and the gardens are magnificent, and the family pool area with adjacent water and regular playground, minigolf and tennis is brilliant. You can sign up for daily full breakfast at discount rate $20 adults and $10 kids. Good value, only complaint being that espresso coffee was not included and those coffees that you paid for were not particularly fantastic – quite weak. Like most other good hotels they really should be providing an Nespresso machine which would provide superior coffee to that they sold. Lots of choices for dining on-site though not very cheap but great food. The family pool was great fun with lots of kids for our son to play with and the hub of the resort. Free wifi very good (good enough for Netflix). Will be back next year.
Lovely family holiday ”
We had a lovely Christmas stay at Cable Beach Club, kids had a great time with their friends playing tennis, mini golf, playground and pool. Especially love the Thai Pearl restaurant in the resort.
Fantastic resort right on the beach”
The Resort is the best place to stay in Broome. The gardens and rooms are great with an asian theme room and decore. It is right on the beach with a great bar and grill where you can get a cocktail and watch the Broome sunset. The activities booking lady was very informative and helpful.
Beautiful but there need to be more vegan options”
Eating and drinking is integral to a good holiday. The one thing lacking at Cable Beach Club is a decent offering of vegan food. I’d be glad to go back if this was addressed.
Wonderful location ”
Food was excellent, location to beach excellent, location to town you need transportation, food a bit pricey but excellent quality, food quantity medium portions, staff excellent, spa dry brush treatment not worth the money only received 10 minutes of dry brush treatment, adult pool is wonderful quiet and relaxing.
Superb setting”
there was much to like in this hotel and only a few things to complain about. it has an unrivaled location on cable beach, a beautiful, lush garden spread out over 26 acres, and a helpful staff. the room we had was spacious enough, although lacking special character. there are tennis courts and a nice pool area where a limited menu is available. we found the other restaurants less than wonderful with very high prices (as in most of australia) and a take on "asian-inspired" cuisine (at the thai pearl restaurant) that astonished my two thai companions. not a single dish could have been accepted as either real thai or chinese or anything else we have encountered on our frequent trips in other asian countries.
Overall relaxing”
Spa experience was nice but massage experience not comparable to other resorts. Hotel gardens looked tired and attention to detail in repairs lacking especially in the shower recess. Also a musty odor permeated our room. Eating in the resort was a hit and miss experience that included the quality food and service. The better restaurant in the resort was the Club Restaurant with a not so pleasant experience being the Sunset Grill where the cushions were stained, the food mainly average with breakfast not very appetizing other than the desserts being offered.
Incredible 4 Night Stay”
Beautiful spacious resort - oceanfront with the best sunset views and beach access. Four great restaurants onsite and lots of accommodation options spread amongst tropical gardens. Pricey but a special experience.
Loved our stay”
Loved our stay at this hotel. We had the side ocean view room and were really happy with the location and view. We enjoyed dinner in the beach bar and grill one night and then the Italian restaurant the second night. The staff were very friendly and service was good. It was such a great location on the beach, you can't find better.
right on beach but because of this very expensive ”
I chose this resort as it was the only one on the beach front but for this reason it was very expensive in high season and having travelled quite a bit recently i did not think it value for the money and moved to Beaches of Broome just down the road and had private room there for 3rd of price and enjoyed it as much
Beautiful place”
Great location right on cable beach. Lovely rooms, beautifully designed. Friendly staff
Dear Nicole, Thanks so much for taking the time to review Cable Beach Club - we are delighted you enjoyed your stay with us and look forward to welcoming you back again soon! Stuart Kentish, General Manager
Lovely hotel”
We arrived at the hotel late in the afernoon to find that there were no spaces in the restaurants unless we ate at 6.00pm and even then we were squeezed in. This was not just for that particular night but the following night also. We were tired and did not want to travel into the town for dinner. I think this is a major problem in an otherwise fabulous resort.
Looking forward to going back!”
Room was quiet and very comfortable; staff were excellent; Club Restaurant and Zensai exceeded expectations, but other eating places were a bit pricey for what you got. We would definitely go back.
Excellent break”
Great location, great set-up for the whole family. Only negatives - no drinks menu for room service, beer selection in mini bar was average, in room dining only starts at 12pm & not really sure why Pizzas only start at 4pm. Will defiantly come back and loved the room (beach side studio), so quiet and relaxing.
Les the driver ”
Les the bus driver is amazing and will always take that extra mile to make your holiday enjoyable, always busy and he is such great value to have around. Your very lucky to have him as the first contact of Cable beach. Front end staff are all very friendly and helpful.
