Nice boutique-resort in walking distance to Times Square Area”
Boutique-Resort with nice and well cleaned rooms, great amenities und perfect location in Hell's Kitchen. In walking distance to bars (10th avenue), Times Square Area, Port Authority Busterminal (Subway) and Theatre District! Complimentary Wifi is working well and Spa with Jacuzzis, Dry and Steam Sauna and Gym is available also. Actually The Out NYC will be renewed and transferred into Cachet Boutique Hotel! I think the price level will be increasing. Friendly staff!!
The Staff and Manager Roxy always provide the best customer service in NY...… I don't even think about choosing any of the hundreds of hotel in the City. When I arrive at the hotel everything is taken care of no worries about accommodation or where to dine. Roxy and crew make sure we have the best stay at the Cachet Boutique Hotel.... The Hotel has a European look and feel which is refreshing beside the boring typical average Hotel.... It give me the feeling of being in another country … We love it and are planning or next stay on point.
Great Location and Perks”
The Cachet Boutique Hotel sits right on 42nd Street, within easy walking distance of Times Square and Hudson Yards. The location alone is worth mentioning, especially when you request a Third Floor room with a view out the back, where day in and day out you can watch the traffic thread its way into Lincoln Tunnel (fear not, you are protected by excellent sound-proofed windows). The hotel does not have a pool, but it has an inner courtyard, offers free breakfast, has a free pool table, and a slightly edgy layout. The built-in restaurant and bar, Treadwell Park, is a good place for casual dining, there are plenty of breakfast places nearby (including the iconic Westway Diner and Friedman's). CVS is basically next door. In-room amenities include a nice TV (alerting GOT fans, it does NOT have HBO!), two free Fiji water bottles a day, a minibar with all kinds of (pricey, as expected) drinks, snacks, and sundries, an all-around comfortable bed, and a large bath with walk-in shower.
Dear Hinrich, Thank you for staying with us and for your fabulou review. I am happy to hear that you enjoyed our unique food and beverage outlets and central location. We will certainly take your feedback regarding our cable selection to the attention of our management team and we hope to welcome you back soon! Happy Travels!
Convention Center Event”
We were in town for an even at the Javits center and stayed at Cachet. We had beautiful weather and it was so nice to be able to walk so quickly to the center. The hotel had a great vibe our room was clean and comfy. Bathroom is a bit small but not a problem for us. Restaurant was really good and really like the court yards. It hotel is also fairly close to the subway and to Times Square (though we didn't go there) - close enough to walk to Time Square but far enough away to be out of the craziness of Times Square. We will definitely consider staying there again on our next trip to NYC.
Good value for Midtown”
Con first: there is a ~$34/night facility fee that is charged ON TOP of the Agoda price (not clear to me when I booked) which made the cost a bit more than I expected. Not a huge deal, it was still a good price, just not as good. Pros: if you're in NYC for theater or a convention at Javitz you cannot beat the location. The hotel is immaculately clean, the rooms are a pretty good size (for NYC), the staff is friendly and efficient, breakfast is included, and the attached restaurant (Treadwell Park) was quite good. Overall no real complaints. I'd definitely stay there again.
Out? No, the IN NYC”
I love everything about this hotel.. From the services to the room itself. I loves all the photos hanging on the hallway, very unique. The staff were friendly. I stayed in the shared room and the bed was quite big and comfortable. They clean the room everyday. Wifi is very stable and they also have computers to use. It's only 10 to 15 minutes walk to Port Authority Bus Terminals and metro station. I will visit NYC again and definitely stay at the Out NYC
Modern, lively, and current”
The Out NYC is definitely a hotel I would return to. The location is in Hell's kitchen that puts it close to the Port Bus Authority and other major stations so you can easily get anywhere in the city and back without feeling tired. That aside the hotel aside I love. Its got that sleek and geometric design that really sets it apart from the general landscape. Open courtyard lounges on the room floors were a very different and interesting surprise. They're decorated with bean bag chairs, tables, Ping/Beer pong tables making it a refreshing area you can enjoy just by walking a few steps from your room. Hotel also features an excellent restaurant and a pretty lively nightclub scene to boot. The decor of the rooms are my favorite part of the place that are set up more interestingly from the bathrooms to lighting, to smart TV's that are tailored to you and your stay to the hotel. I really was surprised and impressed with every aspect of this hotel and recommend you get to explore what it has to offer
Good Value for NYC”
Location is ok, with a subway station about 3 blocks away (which might be killer in a NY summer). Would recommend a taxi if travelling with heavy luggage. Close to Hell's Kitchen for hip restaurants and nightlife. Reception is nice, with friendly, helpful staff and modern design. Check-in was smooth, and our issues with checking out were resolved quickly by reception, and had no other issues. For the room itself, it was comfy and recently renovated, with a new bathroom. It was always cleaned well. There was only one small window that faced a common area, so you couldn't have light and privacy at the same time. If you want a bright and light room (maybe important if doing a longer stay), this might not be ideal. The floor we were on also needs new carpet and some reno work, looks kind of tired. But the idea has potential. Overall a good stay. We used this place as a bed while checking off some last NYC sites. Would consider again.
Dear Francis, Thank you for staying with us and for your fabulous review! I am delighted to hear that you We will certainly share your comments with our team in order to propel us toward a higher level of service and we hope to continue to be your home away from home in New York City. Happy Travels!
Good, clean and convenient hotel”
Just got back from our mini-break from NYC - and the hotel was quite nice. Had a decent little gym - and a coffee room with muffins and juice in the a.m. Room was clean and convenient - though as previous reviewers stated a little dim. Only issue I had was with the staff - the breakfast room was never mentioned to us when we checked in - I only came upon it by accident when looking for coffee after my morning run. Staff though polite - were not communicative in regards to the hotels offering. Otherwise used the hotel mainly to sleep - as let's face it we didn't go to NYC to hang out in our room. Hope this helps.
Dear Barbara, Thank you for staying with us and taking the time to share your feedback. We regret that you were not made aware of our complimentary breakfast and we hope to welcome you back in the future and provide you with a higher level of hospitality. Wishing you safe travels, Front Office Management Team
Very clean, friendly staff and great location.”
I was very impressed with the level of comfort and cleanliness of the shared room stay. I was slightly nervous as to what to expect given that it was in fact a room to be shared amongst 3 other random individuals, however all guest were very respectful of one another's space and privacy. I would rate this hotel as very affordable and value for money for any solo travelers wanting the comfort of a hotel on a budget. It is walking distance to Times Square and close to all major transport links in and around the city. I had previously read reviews that the hotel had had noise issues, however I did not have any issues myself. I would most definitely book again in the future when returning to New York.
frequent solo worlwide traveller”
very nice stay @ the out hotel, location is very good ( 5-10 mins to times square) hotel is very modern , very nice friendly & helpful staff surrounding area was very safe plenty of eating venues near hotel however like most hotels in new York the hotel is overpriced compared to hotels worldwide would return though if revisit NYC
Only stayed for one night but hotel was good value for price in NYC. Nice part of Hell's Kitchen, tons of good brunch spots nearby. Bamboo room and garden atriums were very cool, will come back in summer.
A great find within key areas of NY”
Just coming back from the holiday and the first thing on my mind was to leave this hotel a review, which I don't usually do. A really great hotel, within walking distance to time square, but you wouldn't know it as it is loated in a more quieter part of the city. Everything is local to this hotel, the bus/subway station is literally 5 minutes down the road, you can walk to times square in about 10 minutes, and madison square garden in about 20 minutes. About the hotel, very clean, quiet and unique in its own way. The rooms are of decent size and the shower facilities are amazingly clean. The staff were VERY friendly and welcoming, going out of their way to make sure you have a pleasant trip. I want to say thank you to the staff for making this a great trip and keep up the good work, very hard to find places like this within large cities.
Dear Dalveer, We are delighted to read your fabulous review of Caceht Boutique NYC. It is always a great moment in hospitality when the staff goes above and beyond to make memorable experiences for their guests. We appreciate your feedback and we hope to continue to be your home away from home in New York City. Happy Travels!
not family friendly”
It was a wonderful location and atmosphere, but the club was below us and was bumping until about 5a.m. I was with my 13 year old daughter and didn't realize it was such a hot spot for partiers. We have never been to New York and I wanted a unique hotel instead of a chain. It would have been a lot better if in the list of amenities it was a lot clearer about being a party hotel. The second night there were 3-4 guys right next door that were partying, drinking, yelling etc. till about 3:30 a.m. I would have knocked or called front desk but didn't feel safe doing that. The hotel was not full and had we not been directly next to people I think it would have been better. I would recommend this hotel to all of my 20 something sons but not for me.
Very nice hotel and great location We were there during the NYC blackout, so my only disappointment with the hotel is that they offered us nothing, when we could not stay in our hotel room that night! Then our room air conditioner did not work after the blackout until very late the next night. It was unbearable to be in our room.
Dear Nancy, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. You are correct that New York City experienced a black out that lasted approximately six hours. We regret this caused a problem with our air conditioning system and we hope to welcome you back in the future with a more wholesome experience. Happy Travels!
nice boutique hotel at a great location in hells-kitchen”
Since the opening of this last year new branded hotel in 2012 I am an every year returning guest. I appreciate the great location in Hell’s Kitchen (a 3 blocks or 6 min walk away from Port Authority Bus Station and 42nd Street Subway station) with a lot of bars and shops (CVS, food emporium) nearby, the convenient styled rooms, the cleanliness and the outstanding friendly and helpfull staff ( a big thank to front office supervisor Roxy for doing an amazing job)! I definitely can recommend this hotel and I will continue to book it whenever possible. As there is always a chance of improvement: the individual adjustable air condition could be less noisy.
Clean and modern but...”
The hotel was overall good and clean. Its location is perfect and accessible to Time Square, two blocks away. I found it easy to get to the bus which my wife had to take to go to TCWP. Yet, on our last night there we discovered that the hotel has been built to mainly recieve gays! No wonder it is new with modern designs unlike most old hotels in Manhatten. It will be awkward for a normal couple to stay there. If we knew it was for gay people, we would have deffinitely changed the hotel. Any normal couple will look awkward in that hotel like we were - for we were clueless about it!
We stayed here as a couple of friends on our first trip to New York. The hotel is in a great neighbourhood, with lots of food and spots for a fun (and gay) night out. It's walking distance to the subway and times square with all the tourist madness that comes with it. But go the other way and you see a completely different, more leafy and relaxed side of New York. The rooms were a good size, with a huge (and comfortable) bed. The restaurant (which also provides in room dining) had a nice and tasty selection of food. The staff was great, very helpful and knowledgeable - with lots of suggestions on food, drinks and things to go and see in the neighbourhood. Would definitely stay here again.
Great value at fair facility”
Getting a secure, safe, proper hotel in nyc at best rate is not easy. Out Nyc provide me all basic needs at good rate in city center. I dont demand for more knowing price I pay just meet the service I receive. Good thing is I can use the internet and printing for free. The wireless is fast too!
What’s good - Location: Near port authority (8-9 min walk) and Times Square - Clean: No problems with the cleanliness of the room - Size of room: Bigger than expected! Had enough space for 4 luggages What needs work - Room lighting: Very dark. Was hard to dig through our luggage given the poor lighting - Noise: There was one time I woke up in the middle of the night to the sound of party music I heard a lot of guests during checkout complain about the lack of transparency with the breakfast price. Good thing I read reviews here before booking. Take note that breakfast is not free. Do not go eat at the breakfast area if you’re not willing to pay. Overall: will stay again given the convenience and comfort
Dear Domonique, First and Foremost thank you for choosing Cachet Boutique for your most recents stay in New York City. We deeply regret that you experienced noise from our night club and we will certainly follow up with our food and beverage team. I am happy to share that we are in the process of adding more light fixtures to our guest rooms and if your travels should bring you to New York City in the future we would very much like to welcome you back.
