Above average”
Recommended for solo traveler or group of 2-5. Not suitable for family especially for old man because the stairs was too steep. And hard to get parking lot during the peak time.

1)check in-colin always didnt ans phone n wait 30mins (2)‎3rd guest-Agoda shown max guest 2+,I bring my mom&daughter, but stopped my mom(70yrs)at staircase and spoke with us unpolitely. How safety consciousness they realised. I sure refused to pay them add chgs&rejected long time on floor mattress(dusty) (3)check out-morning we wanna hv b/f at their cafe,we was stop again at downstairs. Lady boss mrs tan treated us worse then colin. *i agreed pay them utility chgs but they refused. What facility provided-tv display w/o any channel, dvd mac spoilt, just only hot shower) *‎mrs tan despised us can't afforded for stay at hotel even bad review. RM80 i can find a lot of hotel nearby with good service & facility. Guest house like home stay, which relax, warm & feel d cultural but nothing at all(what kind of buss they are) # If a leader sets a bad example,it will be followed by his subordinates # An evil member of the herd(influnce our Malacca image) My dear!We must be a clever consumers!

Great value & location”
We pretty enjoyed the stay that filled with Baba Nyonya culture. The ambient was great and really getting amazed by the house. It might bother you on sleeping time as many tricycle drivers are playing music loudly and by pass due to the place is the heart of the town.

Excellent”
A vintage guesthouse with excellent condition of cleanliness but with strict rules & regulations being restricted upon the guests. But it is understandable as they're doing so in order to preserve the place & maintain it good as it is now. Nevertheless, the staff is very friendly & takes good care during our stay at the guesthouse.

Great location, full of character, spotlessly clean.”
If you don't like a walk to the toilet and shower facilities, it's not for you. I didn't mind at all but one of our party did. Great facilities for rinsing through clothes, and all kept spotlessly clean.

good location and great ambiance”
this is an old house that is turned into cafe and guesthouse. the lobby entrance has good ambiance. the only issue I have is, i can hear those talks and footsteps in my room. they should put up a movement sensor light in the alley so anyone going out from their room able to see the door lock, because they turn off the light at night and is quite dark

Not wellkoming and awfull staff”
Good location but careful! The stairs are too old and dangerous to get to our dark room in the second floor. The lady was very mean and unhelpful : does not open the door when she answer. Don't expect any service from this place! Even the minim of courtesy

Double room is without private bathroom”
Double room is without private bathroom but it is not mentioned at the room details. We only realized it when we check in to the room... overall cleanliness is good... but sound proof of the room is not good... u can clearly hear sounds when ppl walk on the wooden floor..

Shocking customer service”
Arrived at the hotel around 3.30pm and there was nobody around to check us in. When somebody finally arrived they didn’t seem to have a clue what they were doing or any idea how to serve customers. I had booked a double room online and I was told that I’d booked a twin room, which was completely false. We were told to pay later on in the day as the person who checked us in would not accept the money. We then went out for the remainder of the day arriving back to the hotel later on that evening. It was then at around midnight that me and my friend were taking a shower in the communal bathrooms and we were then approached in a somewhat rude manner by a girl asking us to pay. The tone of voice she used with us was completely unnecessary. She then told us that we could pay upon check out the following morning, so I was pretty clueless as to why she had initially approached us in such a way. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere as there are many guest houses to choose from.

Charades! Charades!”
I didn't expect that the guesthouse keeper has swollen gums or had her teeth removed, hence difficulty in speaking. Good thing I was able to complete sign language program, and quite good in guessing gestures. Good thing the owner also active in sending messages to me here in Agoda. The guesthouse is clean, walking distance to Jonker Night Market, and the red buildings. Uber service is also reliable and cheaper than taxis. I suggest to book in advance through Agoda before coming in the guesthouse.

Hotel host is EXTREMELY RUDE”
When I made the my reservation for this hotel, I specified that I would be arriving between 1-2AM. I showed up at the hotel at exactly 130AM. Per the directions given to me via email, I rang the gray doorbell of the hotel. 20 minutes later, a young female (with short black hair) hotel host showed up. She angrily yelled at me and told me it was late and that everyone was sleeping. i explained to her that I indicated my time of arrival on my reservation on the Agoda site and that I showed up as expected, at 1:30AM. As I began to walking into the hotel building she slammed the door on my face to prevent me from walking in. Then she slightly opened the door ajar and shoved a key fob in my face and told me to use the key fob to unlock the door. I didn't understand why she wouldn't let me in and as I stood there dumbfounded by the sheer rudeness of this host, she got even angrier with me and and kept telling me to open the door myself with the key fob. The rest of my interactions with her as she showed me my room and shower were just as rude. I have never been treated so poorly by a hotel host and my boyfriend had to convince me from trying to book another hotel room that very night (regardless of the fact that I had already paid for this hotel for the weekend). This is my third time visiting Melacca and it will surely not be my last. But I guarantee you that I will never come to this hotel again and I will make sure to let any of my coworkers who are planning to visit Melacca from Singapore that they will never bring you business either thanks to your hotel host.

Average, Rude staff”
Just nice for a night stay, good location. But you'll be really surprise with the rude attitude of the lady who is handling the check in on behalf of the owner. We were greeted at the doorstep in the most unfriendly way or she almost yelling at you "why did you called the number?" when it was written there "Call these numbers for check in", which completely spoil your mood before check in. If you wish to have a pleasant stay, please go somewhere else.
