Great accomodation in the perfect location! ”
We stayed at Cahaya for 3 nights. The room was situated in what we think is the best location in ubud. It’s a 2 min scooter ride to the middle of town or 15min walk. The room was very clean and tidy and we were very well looked after the whole time. Great value for money :)

Beautiful clean relaxing accommodation ”
We had a wonderful stay at Cahaya Villa. The location is beautiful, over looking rice fields and greenery, no cars can access it as its situated down a pathway, you can either walk or use a scooter. The staff will pick you up on your arrival and departure along with your luggage. The accommodation and grounds are kept spotlessly clean, nothing is too much trouble for the staff who are always happy to help in any way. The pool is stunning, again kept meticulously clean. Breakfast is delicious, choose daily what you would like and a time and it is bought to your villa. Your accommodation is cleaned daily at a time to suit you. We would 100 % recommend Cahaya Villa and would love to come back.

Amazing Staff!!”
This is my third time in Bali and I've encountered many of it's beautiful people. I was traveling with my sister and arrived on a night flight. When we gave the address to the driver google maps took us to the wrong location. Since the villa is not accessible by car, only motor bike, we decided to walk. We quickly realized we were not at the correct place. Some local people from a different villa were kind enough to help us since it was 11pm at night and pouring rain. They called our Cahaya and the owner and his cousin came to our rescue. We felt so safe! The owners wife was awake awaiting our arrival to prepare our welcome drinks and make sure we were well accomadated. The grounds are BEAUTIFUL and you feel nature all around you. Breakfast was great and many restaurants/cafes a very short walk. Ubud Yoga House also a short 5 min walk. Would love to stay again!!

beautiful villa ”
Beautiful location and amazing staff, located off the main road from the hustle and bustle on a lovely path overlooking the rice fields. Lots of restaurants on the path which I would recommend trying. Amazing breakfast so tasty. Clean accommodation and the staff are so friendly and make you feel at home.

Good Value for Money”
The Cahaya villas are on the busier side of the rice field, the way there is a bit crowded. The villas are nice and clean (cleaned everyday) and the bed has a mosquito net. The breakfeast is quite good - and the breakfast terrace has a great view over the fields. Shower was a bit weak water pressure.

Remote, authentic lodging ”
Nice location up in the rice fields of Ubud. A little difficult to access since the road leading up to the villas is only wide enough for motorbikes, so recommend planning ahead to get there. There was also a local dog barking for 2.5 hours in the middle of the night that kept us up unfortunately and a number of ants and lizards inside the room. Breakfast was very good.

Amazing”
Cahaya Ubud Villa: First of all: You have to walk the last 1km to the Villa or go by motorbike. - The little walkway to the city is barely illuminated at night, so take a flashlight or your cell phone with you. Location: WOW!!! Amazing and stunning! In the middle of a rice-field. Great view (ask for Villa 2 or 3). Small infinity pool with sunbeds. Villa: Air-Condition, small Kitchenette outside, Minibar with beer, diet coke, soda, coke (unbelievable prices - like in one of the mini marts), Welcome Drink, Breakfast with coffee and tea.... Cahaya Ubud Villa - better than expected! That is one of the best "hotels" I've ever been to. And to complete my review, the entire team is so friendly and doing a great job. You wake up in the morning (06am) and there's already coffee and tea on your terrace.

Beautiful Villa! ”
Absolutely loved the villa & my time at Cahaya Ubud! The banana pancakes are to die for. Delicious smoothies as well. I would note that it is definitely a trek to get there. The villa will pick u & your bags up, however with the amount of luggage me & my friend brought, we were a little nervous that it would make it! It has to be strapped onto a motor bike & pushed to get up the road. The road is quite bumpy & about a 30min trek on foot. The walk is beautiful but a little tough to do a night time (which is when my friend & I would return after our day). I was a bit nervous walking in the complete dark as two young women. There are no lights on the road so Im not sure how we wouldve made it without the light from our phones. Overall I highly recommend. I would only caution travelers who plan to come & go numberous times through out the day! You will be getting excercise lol also be prepared for the trek at night. Maybe bring a flashlight? Lovely property & order banana pancakes!!

Exceeded expectations”
This place was fantastic. The rooms are great, the view is breathtaking and the staff are so friendly and positive. The only downside to it is that if you don't have a scooter it's about an 800m walk from the road. For us this was not an issue, the surroundings were so nice that we'd stay in the Villas until midday and then wander into Ubud, before coming back after dinner. I think this is one of the few places where we've actually maximised our time in the hotel! I could easily imagine coming back here and simply never heading back down the path again - it's right next to some great restaurants, there's a yoga house nearby and there are only 2 Villas! So if you rent both of them then it's very private.

Hidden Paradise”
Simple wow. Amazing views across the Padi fields. Staying here is such a unique rare experience. With only 3 villas, very few can say they have experienced the same. The track from the main road, through the rice fields to the villa is an event in itself, you really get the feeling on arrival that you are somewhere special. No cars can make the treck, so if you are arriving with suitcases, like I was, get you taxi driver to call ahead, so that the hotel staff can prepare to pick you and your luggage up by moped - as you exit the main road. Very close to the villa, you will find a few organic cafes, with equally perfect views and great food. Take a stroll in either direction at dawn for a very calm and beautiful experience with the locals you meet smiling and wishing you good morning with 'salumet pagi' or something similar. The villa has a balcony area where you can waste away the s d I got drinking and listening to the frogs. Bring your own alcohol to make the most if this. The villa itself is very nice and clean and the room is large. Aircon is also great. The hotel staff are also very friendly but I did feel uneasy with their request to hold onto my passport overnight- especially as we had already paid in full through Agoda. Late the next morning I noticed my passport just sitting on their table and requested it back. I would advise to take a photocopy of your passport page with you and hand that over instead. All in all a wonderful stay, with my wife already looking to go back.

Wonderful and cozy place to stay in the middle of rice fields”
My friend and I stayed at Cahaya for two nights and we loved every moment of our stay. The villa is run by a wonderful and gracious family who made us feel welcome and were very attentive. Although I had made the reservation last minute, the family was very helpful and made sure I was comfortable and my booking processed. The room was clean and cozy and the bed very comfortable. Breakfast was AMAZING - loved the banana pancakes. I would love to stay here again!

Excellent villa in popular rural setting”
This is an amazing place. It is very close to Sari Organic Restaurant, which is an Ubud favorite. The place is about 15 min walking from the main road, but the rice paddy views and rural location make it beautiful and quiet. The villas are comfortable and have small kitchens. They aren't the most luxurious, but the location and place is wonderful. Made (the owner) is kind and helpful. Her helper Komang is super kind and sings while he is delivering breakfast or doing work around the place. Highly recommended!

Beautiful villa among the rice paddies with pool”
Our family of three stayed in Villa #1, closest to the road with a view of the surrounding rice paddies and the other 2 villas. Our beds were in one room - a queen and a single - with en suite. There was a seperate entrance to the kitchen which had a sink, stove and fridge. The breakfasts here are amazing and delicious! Portions were big. Choose from 2 big pieces of banana pancake, or a large veggie omelette served with toast and jam, or scrambled, fried or boiled eggs with toast and jam PLUS either a huge plate of fruit or big glass of freshly made juice! Tea and instant coffee is in the kitchen and staff filled thermoses of hot water every morning and afternoon. FYI for those with mobility issues: the villa is on Sok Wayah, which is about a kilometre walk from the main road, near Pura Dalem where they do kechak and legong dances. The path is accessible only by foot or motorbike but weaves around other villas and warungs among rice paddies. Beautiful!

Beautiful oasis close to Ubud centre”
Beautifully situated in a rice field oasis about 10 mins from Ubud centre on a scooter. Watch the local men and women go about their work in the rice fields in front your door step and enjoy a colourful complimentary breakfast prepared by the lovely staff. The pool is much smaller than in the photos but is surrounded by the warm open air and expansive rice paddies all around. Roosters with multi coloured feathers meander around the grass right in front of the doorstep and are a beautiful site though a bit noisy. You will need a scooter while staying here unless you dont mind walking 25 mins to the main road. The staff can shuttle your luggage for you up the narrow road where your taxi will not be able to go. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for some peace outside the city centre and be close enough for a night out as well. There is a yoga centre nearby and Cafe Pomegranate is a stone throw away where they have a panoramic view of the rice fields and a very healthy menu.

Exceptional”
What an experience! It was really cool to spent too nights in Cahaya! The only negative thing was the small dark road to reach the resort! You have absolutely to bring a flashlight with you! I will be backkkk thanks Cahaya staff

More than five star”
This place was a dream. The hospitality is impeccable, the staff truly go above and beyond for all our needs and wants. The villas and the rice paddy surroundings are enchanting. Simple but it was some of best breakfasts I have ever had. I now have a place to return to next time I'm in Ubud.

Incredible! ”
We had the most gorgeous stay here at Cahaya. The accommodation was brilliant, so comfy and clean. The location in the rice fields was stunning. Every morning we had a delicious breakfast with the most beautiful view. It was easy to get from the airport to the accommodation. And everything was made even more special by the wonderful hosts.

Beautiful location in the middle of the ricefields”
We stayed 4 days/nights at Cahaya and we had a great time. We stayed at the villa overviewing the rice fields. The staff of the hotel was very nice and helpful! They helped us contact our driver who had to take us to the airport and find no problem at our super early check out (3:45 AM!!). The villas are located 15min away from the centre of Ubud and you have to walk a small path no cars can access. So bring a flash light cause you might need it when coming back at night. I will recommend Cahaya Villa!

Blissful escape”
This villa is in an incredibly beautiful part of the world. Initially I was slightly disappointed my villa wasn't in the middle of the rice padi (it was overlooking it instead), but the feeling didn't last long. The family who run the villas (only 3) were lovely and accommodating, the room was comfortable (perhaps not 'commercial luxury' but still modern enough), the pool was lovely, breakfast delicious (especially the fruit platter) and they have the cutest dog! What more could you want? Fireflies? Yes, you see them at night!
