My requests were not only met, but exceeded!”
we were upgraded to an apartment room which was a lovely surprise as we arrived into cairns late in the evening. the room was very clean & comfortable. nothing seemed to be a problem for the very friendly staff, all my requests were met promptly & efficiently! disappointed we didn't have more time to spend in the spacious room fully equipped with modern facilities. the air-conditioning unit however was quite noisy during the evening but the lovely, pleasant temperature of the room during the day/night surpassed the noise. definitely stay at cairns harbour lights in future trips to cairns & have recommended to family & friends. thanking you for our pleasant stay.

Clean, bright and great location”
Cairns Harbour Lights is an ideal base to explore the area in and around Cairns. The accommodation gives the flexibility to cook for yourself or eat at many of the great dining facilities around the apartments. Cool and airy with 5 star hotel room cleaning services so you just have to worry about having a great holiday. We will stay at the Cairns Harbour Lights next time we are in Cairns.

Great hotel in a great location.”
The stay at the Cairns Harbour was perfect. I had an apartment style hotel with a balcony and nice harbour view and it was close to all of the restaurants, which were all very nice (but definitely make reservations for the restaurants) and busy. The hotel has a restaurant at the bottom which also has decent food and a nice bar. (Closes a little early though if you are like me and like late night caps). There is a convenience store about 10 meters from the hotel so that can be changed. The pool and fitness center were decent and what you would expect from a hote. The thing I liked best was that you could walk out and literally be on the launching point for all of the water sports including the Great Barrier Reef tour (which we did). The only thing that I did not like was that we had to rent a modem (security deposit was refunded)for the internet, but this is also a double edged sword because it meant that we where the only ones who had access to that internet. Also this was a full size apt. with washer and dryer for about 120 per night which I think is a steal. I would recommend this hotel 10 times out of 10. I travel almost every two weeks, so please understand that this is not a fluke recommendation. AD

Relaxing and comfortable”
The thing that really set the Cairns Harbour Lights apart from other hotels is how accommodating and friendly they were. For instance, they let us borrow towels for our 3 day scuba diving trip - "No problem!" was their response to the request. They not only let us store luggage with them while we were on the scuba trip, but our luggage was waiting in our new room when we returned. When we walked in lobby upon our return, they recognized who we were before we had a chance to even speak and handed us a paper to sign. One quick signature and we were checked in and headed to our room. I simply can't remember being treated better by any hotel I have ever stayed in.

In a nutshell..very convenient”
Our friends and I were in Cairns for a hen/stag weekend.Our friends had chosen other more & less expensive places to stay but I felt we did very well staying at Harbour Lights. Its great value for money with everything one would expect from a 4 star hotel. It's an extremely convenient location, our room was spotless, the staff were very helpful so I can't fault the place. My partner & I will definitely look it up the next time we come back to Cairns.

Nice room with views to the ocean and mountains!”
Enjoyed the weekend getaway in Cairns Harbour Lights. The studio room was a bit small and didn't have a kitchen, but overall the views from the room were amazing, the room was comfortable and clean, the staff was really friendly and helpful. The location is amazing - just next to the harbour, close to shops. Will definitely go back there when going back to Cairns!

Simply put...Cairns Harbour Lights provided everythin you need for a four night getaway in Cairns! A fantastic location with great bedding, lovely view, all that is needed in the room/bathroom. Lovely attitude from all service staff. Terrific restaurnats within walking distance starting in the building and all along the Marina. Great value - we shall be back!

The hotel was is a great location within the city of cairns - close to shops, restaurants and the casino. The rooms in the hotel were lovely, clean and modern. The have lovely views of the harbour and the city. The staff were very helpful.The restaurant and swimming pool were of a very high standard. Really enjoyed my stay in The Harbour Lights Hotel.

Beautiful hotel and stunning location”
we stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment which was directly facing the marina and had the most stunning views. the apartment was lovely inside and was well equiped with everything you need. absolutely loved cairns harbour lights and will definitely be staying here again when we come back. the location couldn't have been better....a lovely board walk below us that leads into the lagoon. what a beauticlu place to stay at.

i stayed in harbour lights apartment for 4 nights and i enjoyed my stay very much. one bedroom apartment comes with very spacey living room and dining area as well as kitchen. we got the harbour view which was lovely. the building is very close to cairns main attraction area the esplanade. harbour lights is a modern building amd it is also very close to the departure points for any great barrier reef tourS

A hotel perfect in almost every aspect !”
Stayed at the hotel over the week end & had a great time ! The first impression that strikes me was how spacious the room is. THe room area must be about 18 feet X 24 feet. The room is well designed too - complete with a small kitchen, dish washing machine, microwave, stove and all the needed cutlery and utensil. There is also washing machine, dryer, iron & ironing board - all the things you need are complete !! In terms of location - it is located right at the Esplanade and the boat terminal. Food, shopping are a breeze - all within 10 to 15 minutes of walking. And if you are booking a trip out to the Great Barrier Reef, which you must when come to Cairns, the catamaran / spped boats are all within 5 muntes from the hotel !! Like to try your fortune in Cairns Casino - it is 2 minutes walk away !! So are some of the best alfresco restaurants in Cainrs Lastly, the staff at the hotel were wonderful - they were very helpful and friendly.

Underwhelming Hotel with awesome location and views”
I was disappointed with Harbour Lights, the only 2 great things about it is its location, and the harbour views if your lucky enough to get them. Other than that its not a great place to stay, the rooms are old and dated and in need of a renovation. I don't like leaving negative reviews but I feel obligated to be truthful , the overall service could have been better, there was an issue but I don't want to go into details here. As I said above the Hotel is old and dated, but the prices charged don't reflect that, I felt it is not good value for money, when I go to cairns next I will be looking elsewhere. Patricia on the reception was great. Really lovely lady, she really knows how to make a guest feel welcome.

Great location that really near the pier”
The location of Cairns Harbour Lights is great and really close to the pier. It only needs less than 5 mins to reach the pier. The room is large and with kitchen that can enjoy cooking in room. Also the room is clean and has sea-viewed. The hotel is opposite to the casino and can have fun at night time.

Harbour Lights Very Central Location”
Cairns Harbour Lights is proffesionally managed. It is on the water over looking the harbour. Modern room with all mod cons. Great bathroom .It is opposite the casino and an easy walk to the centre of cairns. It is within easy walk to the best retraunt and bar near cains yacht club. Over all a wonderful stay.

Great accomodation facilities ”
Modern, clean, spot on, location for reef activities, casino, esplanade lagoon and restaurants, only minutes away. The apartment was lovely as it included a kitchen facility and utensils. Only negative is that the pool wasn't heated so it got a bit cold at night. If i was to come back to cairns, I'd definitely stay at Harbour Lights again.
