We enjoyed our stay on this hotel and we were able to bring our furbaby and she really loved the lawn with coconut trees. We also enjoyed staying near the pond. Staff are polite and nice. Food in the resto is good, you might consider giving unli coffee and hot choco :) Room needs some improvement, though. Provide a couch or additional table and chairs. CR also needs some thorough cleaning. You may also provide bonfire for your guests as it is ideal to do at night due to chilly temperature. I also recommend allowing guests to upgrade their rooms despite using some booking platform, guests can just pay the appropriate cost. Overall, this is a nice place to go during the weekend. You really can find peace.
Pet-friendly Team-building Resort”
Found this upon searching for a pet-friendly place around Lake Caliraya at around 6pm, after having really late lunch, when a previous booking for two nights in another resort did not push through because it was under construction and we weren't informed beforehand, and we thought that we were going to be homeless for the night, since our pet is a rooster and he is not usually welcome in most places. Before booking, we asked the contact listed in their Facebook account whether they will allow rooster in their rooms, and even if she was off that day (we later found out), she replied right away. Although the room is dated, it has the amenities for a comfortable stay (it also looked like they have renovated their toilet/shower rooms and installed air-conditioning, as the room looked like it was previously ventilated with windows and probably an electric fan). The hot shower is working (important at Lake Caliraya) and the pressure is great; they have a bidet in the toilet, and they provide the needed toiletries (shampoo with conditioner, soap, roll of tissue paper, and towels for two). The blankets provided are enough for the cold nights near the lake. The room, although a bit dark at night, has big windows to let light in at daytime, and a terrace to hangout in while having breakfast. The resort is huge, my rooster walked on the green delightfully. The staff are accomodating, and most are friendly. They offer a lot of amenities, including kayak, paddle kayak, soft/toy archery, billiards (only some of the amenities we saw there). There are chickens near the restaurant area, and we also saw black piglets on the way out of the resort. The resident dogs weren't menacing, and they did not seem to mind our rooster. The place is gated, which adds a layer of security. All in all, keep in mind that the amount that you pay for also includes, not just breakfast, but also access to a vast activity area that you might want to utilize, like walking around with your pet 🐓

We checked in for an overnight....the resort is big, so big that the greenery needs a lot of work. There are many things that can be improved. They keep things clean but it is evident that the place is old and need more care. We stayed in a cottage above water. The lock was not working so we had to keep important belongings with us all the time or in our vehicle. the bathroom was newly renovated so that is good. Things are kept clean but most things looked old. The wood ledges on the stilts felt rickety.... and the wood flooring on the ridgeway need improvement. The billiard table is worn out. We just made the most out of the overnight stay. The highlights of our trip were those done outside the resort. The boat ride and the Mountain View in a cafe nearby. Will I go back? Probably not. But I must admit their rates are low....
Relaxing weekend ”
I wanted a place in Caliraya that was easy to access but not so crowded, and Caliraya Ecoville had that. I just wanted a stress free weekend with my kids. We stayed at the lake front cabin and its just so relaxing to be outside with lake view, especially at night when we were having wine outside, with just the sound of nature. My kids rented the bikes but they were not used to biking on rough roads so they didn’t really enjoy it. But we had fun with the kayak, wanted to try the paddle board but was not brave enough:) The rooms were clean inside but the patio wasn’t clean. The beds were big but that meant you don’t have much space for your bags, but its ok for us since we only stayed overnight. I can say the beds are comfortable, because I don’t usually sleep well in resorts but I’m surprised I didn’t notice it rained hard that night, I only knew because someone messaged me about it. We also enjoyed the dinner that we ordered, we had it served in our room, a little late because of some confusion on the instructions. Overall, would I go back? I would say yes… I wanted a relaxing weekend and its a check in that box.

The air is fresh and cool, the grounds are clean (reasonably littered with dried leaves and twigs), and despite the still pond in the middle of the resort, we didn’t have a mosquito problem. Food is good and well-cooked though it takes a while to be served. Some facilities need upgrading or cleaning (pool water isn’t clear, not sure if it’s spring water) since we’re coming out of the pandemic (might as well). I tried to do the 3km run trail but had to abort it because the trail was too jungly (though it might be my fault- I did not sign up at the desk before taking the trail, so don’t forget to do the that). The room is obviously old but clean and air-conditioned. The bed is comfortable; a 6in mattress with cotton bedlinen and furry blankets. The cabinet is old and musty but we used it anyway. Hot shower will run out after a while because it’s the small type of heater only so don’t take too long in the shower. There is a bidet in the toilet. I think we found a new place to return to. Caliraya Ecoville is so peaceful, you can just sit in the middle of the well-manicured hill of coconut trees and watch the crows fly above you.
