It’s very clean but…”

Honestly this hotel was fine. It was very very clean. My two problems are that we booked for 7 days and our window looked out onto garbage cans. Every. Single. Night. We fell asleep to people throwing away bottles and trash. We couldn’t open our window for fresh air. Multiple times a night from around 11 pm to 5:00 am a garbage truck would come to pick up the trash. One night? I could deal. But 7? No. Just. No. Secondly, the bathroom. Listen. Sometimes a bidet just doesn’t fit. Don’t try to squeeze it in. The door to the bathroom did not open all the way. It opened only half way becuase of the bidet. The shower was the smallest tiniest shower ever. I’m overweight I know. I squeeze into small things all the time. I understand that my size is my problem. However, I literally couldn’t squeeze into it without scraping my belly. This bathroom, though totally clean is ridiculous. Get the bidet out! Don’t have windows going out to a dumpster.

Very pleasant stay”

Great location, friendly staff and comfortable rooms

Camelia Hotel is a great place to stay in Rome. It is very close to the train station (8-10 min walk away). The rooms are fairly big and the en-suite bathrooms are clean and good sized. The staff are very helpful and will provide you any information you need on the city. The breakfast is very good, served in the hotel restaurant. The hotel offers free wi-fi and the internet speed was quite good. The hotel is located very close to the main train station (Roma termini) and offers easy access to restuarants, shops and sight seeing areas. No complaints at all from this hotel. Wish our stay was longer, so much to see in Rome! It is almost like a proper hotel at the price of a B&B! Overall, a great stay. A good hotel with a lovely location!

Fantastically located & Great service attitude”

Well located, value for money, small but very clean rooms, efficient service, good breakfast and Would like to overall stay ambiiance

We really enjoyed the stay mainly because the hotel was very conveniently located to Roma Termini station. It was just 7 to 10 minutes walk from the station and even with luggage it should not take more than 15minutes. And from Termini you can take the buses or trains and it is great to be in such a place to see Roma by taking a bus somewhere and then walking. The rooms were clean with spotless bedsheets and towels. The staff were friendly and had a great attitude overall. The breakfast was nice and offered a decent spread. I would like to return back to the hotel for the staff attitude and general cleanliness which made the sat in Rome very pleasurable. The hotel had a nice feel and ambiance though it was very small but that did not make us feel uncomfortable.

I enjoy the stay with Camelia though it's about 10 mins walk from the train station. The staff are nice and helpful. Nearby there are many restaurants and supermarkets. Walking to the nearest metro station is also about 7-8 mins. You can try best western hotel if you are going to Rome as it is nearer to the central station.

Cleanliness of rooms, well maintained, location

The stay was awesome - the room was clean, well maintained, spacious and very comfortable (it's extremely value for money). The hotel is opposite a police station (safe!) and it is situated between 2 metro stations (termini and repubblica). I will definitely choose to stay there when I'm back in Rome. Very well maintained hotel. Clean and strategically situated in Termini and other important landmarks within Rome. The only drawback is you cannot eat inside the room, no free water and coffee. But, should you still wish to eat at the hotel after a long tiring day - there is an area where you can eat :) Overall: very good value for money and service is very good. We needed a hotel near the train station for the overnight between coming into Rome on the train and then leaving the next day from the airport. Camelia is a bit longer walk than other hotels near the train station--but not that much--and was a perfect choice for our needs. I tried four different hotels in Rome. Compare with the service, Camelia Hotel is the best one. The staff are really friendly and nice. They are patient enough to introduce the restaurants to us. Close to Termini station for early train train departures

This was a clean and simple hotel near the Termini station. It was easy to get to and walking distance to station. Perfect if you are planing to take an early train to the airport or another destination. My single room was a good size and very clean. It had two English language news stations, which I didn't find in hotels twice the price in Rome. The area had a few restaurants and cafe and there was a little store right on the corner. A great budget option.

large room, location, proximity to public transportation

The hotel was 2-3 minute walk from termini station. The room was large (in comparison with other hotels we stayed at in Italy). Because of it's close proximity to the metro, we were able to see all that Rome had to offer by just hopping on and off the metro line. The only problem that we had with the hotel was that there was no hot water. I saw someone else post a review about this. Water was lukewarm. Other than that, no complaints with the hotel.
