"This resort is amongst the very few existing facilities on Camotes Island that has a degree of scale and the ability to satisfy the expectations of the travellers / holiday makers. The food on offer is good quality and very reasonably priced. The Bay offers fabulous swimming and is not too far from the Ferry Terminal. Surprisingly the breakfast menu does not include much in the way of fresh fruit. However, if you source your own they are more than willing to prepare it for you at no charge. As is customary in the Philippines “marble” surfaces are used extensively inside and outside. . If they become “wet” they are like “ Ice Skating “ services. ( I nearly broke my arm on the main entrance steps ! ) However, all things considered this facility is worth very serious consideration if you a planning a trip to Camotes Island. It’s easily either the best or at worst the second best place to stay. "

"Probably the best resort hotel in Camotes Island. This resort boasts great landscape with swimming pool, coconut trees and lovely green gardens. The rooms are cozy and really beautiful. Perfect place for couples and groups alike. The only thing missing here is the powdery white sand, mega sandbar of Santiago Bay. But you can always go there anyway by renting a tricycle or multicab. I highly recommend this resort."

"I was looking for a place to spend time with my mom, my sisters and our respective families. I found this place in Agoda and thought the price was affordable, for three rooms including breakfast. When we arrived, they already had the rooms ready and cleaned with all the toiletries. The staff were courteous and made sure that everything is taken care of. There is a shallow pool for the kids too, which was nice. The staff also informed us that we have free access to Mangodlong Rock Beach, which is just a few steps away. It's where we had dinner. Dinner there was affordable and was great. We had a nice view of the beach and Mangodlong Rock at sunset. The breakfast in Coco Grove the next day was excellent too! For a middle class family, our accommodation was of great value and it allowed us to bond with our new families, especially the kids. We will definitely return to this place when we visit Camotes Island again!"

"On the tiny island of Camotes you will need your own transportation to reach the Rock resort (you can rent a motorbike, or a bike with driver. For a half day, we had two bikes with driver for 600p). It is the most beautiful beachfront in Camotes. We had the most stunning, romantic sunset ever. The Resort itself is so-so, slightly run-down. Weekdays pretty empty. There is a beachfront bar/restaurant, with surprisingly good food."

"Stayed here for 3 days and 2 nights last weekend. We arrived early. However, we forgot to inform the hotel about it. I guess that's our fault. No one was at the hotel when we arrived. I called the number I saw in a business card inside the hotel. Luckily, my call was answered and Andi, our host came as soon as he could. He was very helpful and welcoming. He personally prepared our sumptuous breakfast with flowing brewed coffee. He immediately informed us that the electricity in Camotes Island is not that sufficient to provide for all the electrical facilities the entire day. The hotel has a generator though to work on the problem. The location is good since it is near the beach and restaurants. The room is clean and tidy as well. Andi also arranged us a scooter rental owned by his neighbor to roam around the island. The rental price is cheaper as compared to others offering the same deal. On our 1st night, I thought of drinking a beer in a windy evening. I ordered to 2 bottles of beer. To my surprise, as I reached out my payment and he handling me the beers, he told me that the those are his welcome gift. "

"This is by far the best place we have stayed in all our travels with my girlfriend. Very serene and quiet, just what we needed to get away from all the urban commotion. The place is practically new, the rooms are of German standard size, which means they're larger than your average hotel room. WiFi and satellite TV readily available. The place is nicely situated in a plateau or mountaintop (not sure); you can have their complimentary scrumptious, fit-for-a-king breakfast (better than what most 4-5 star hotels serve) while overlooking the Tulang Diot island and feeling the cool ocean breeze at the same time. The owner, Thomas and Marjie, are extremely hospitable and very attentive to their guests' needs, they even 'rescued' us PERSONALLY when the scooter we were using to tour the island experienced a small problem (nothing serious though) and lent us another one. Isn't that commendable? And the free welcome drinks (which we enjoyed and appreciate) and their two VERY friendly and playful dogs Snowy and Sharky are a PLUS in my honest opinion. We are planning to return to Camotes soon to explore the remaining tourist spots we missed and surely, we'll be back to Villa Marquez. To future travellers, this is the perfect place for you. Daghang salamat, Thomas and Marjie! - Paul and Alouha"
