Good value and highly recommended suburb to stay in”
Only 10 minutes walk to Campsie station, half an hour to CBD by train. Lots of eating places, Campsie mall has pretty much everything you need, from supermarkets, to cafes, to ATM, to chemists. The room is very spacious and comes with AC! Although the toilet is shared, I never had to wait long to use it. I read other reviews about the noise, however I am pleased to say that I did not encounter even a decibel of pub / construction noise during my 3 nights stay there. The only concern I will raise is the $50 deposit that you will have to make in exchange for the room card. This might be a problem if you checkout early on the day (before 9 or 10am before the pub opens?), because there will not be anyone to return you your deposit if you check out too early. Will be back to stay if I return to Sydney! In the meantime, wash your hands regularly and refrain from touching your faces!

Different Kinda of experience from usual in a good way. ”
You would be living in the room above a pub where all patrons drinking ang clubbing downstairs. Security door needs key card to entering. You would hear drunk people speaking loudly or shouting on street occasionally except that, everything is fine. The building construction cross road at moment, tradies are up very early in the morning on site for work. A very good veitnamese restaurant joint other side with the pub, entering from other door, variety foods and cusines, big serve and cheaper price. If you are driving, parking is a bit hassle and needs to move your vehicle every two hours in council ‘s parking lot. Or you risk get parking ticket by the ranger. I have got marked timer on car tires and almost got done if I have not checked it. The ticket would have been at lease two days room rates. Haha

Value for money”
As 'pub' accommodation goes it's great value for money. Last two times I've booked online I specifically asked not to be given a particular room, but I got that room both times - disappointing.

You get what you pay for”
Basic, budget accommodation in a Pub with Pokies & TAB. The registration "lobby" is the sports bar & the "guest entrance" is the fire exit. Booking through Agoda, I paid with AMEX as usual. However once ready for check-in I was informed AMEX is not accepted. Rooms are very basic, with a bed, fridge, desk, ceiling fan and single light. I had to drag the desk across the floor so I could use my laptop & charge at the same time. The room has a kettle, but you'll need to fill it with water from the shared bathroom, then boil your water on the floor as the power outlets are too far away from the desk. The bathrooms are shared & one had been recently renovated, however cleanliness could be much improved & I was extremely glad I'd packed thongs. Fine if you need to stay in the area, otherwise you can do much better elsewhere.

Not enough facilities ”
I was there around midnight. Tell the staff about my booking but they got no idea and ask me to pay cash for hotel. As I enter the room there was no facilities at all, even there was no water in room and no phone service to call them. I feel just total waste of money

AVOID AVOID - NOISIEST HOTEL IN AUSTRALIA”
IF YOU ARE NOT CHINESE DO NOT STAY HERE. I stayed here for 2 nights as I had 2 busy days of work in the area. PROS: Comfy bed / good heater CONS: I asked for a QUIET ROOM on a HIGH FLOOR. I received a less than welcome greeting. I was given the corner room which I though was a bonus at first. Turns out it is directly above the pool tables and disco. This huge amount of noise went on until 1.30am. Then at 3am super loud street cleaning vehicles go right outside. Then at 6AM right next door there is HUGE construction & building works taking place. I left the place early the first morning and had to go out and work all day and did not return until the next night, thinking it would be better. IT WAS WORSE THE SECOND NIGHT. Both mornings I went out to get coffee and my keycard did not work so had to bang on the windows outside to get back into the room I paid for. The only exit in the morning & night was a dirty smelly bins alleyway. TOILETS & SHOWER DISGUSTING. WINDOWS COVERED IN DUST

Access is in a bar and checkout is difficult early in the morning”
You need to pay a deposit of 50 AUD for your key, but officially you can only check out between 9am and 10am. We had to catch a plane, so we needed to check out before 8:00am, which was very difficult. Obviously there is no trust when you have to pay such a high deposit. The bathrooms (shared) were dirty. It was not very hot so we slept well.
